There is hardly words to describe this place. It is magical on a different level. The food is top notch. My husband got the chicken cheesesteak which i didn't get a picture of because he ate it so fast. It was so freaking good. What I did get a photo of is the Sweet Potato fries with the magical sauce. It is an absolute must. I highly recommend if your in the area to stop by!!

Great little dive located on 2nd street. Best cheesesteak in Florida. Live music at night. Cheap drinks.

1st time visit on a week day and it was awesome.

Original Philly was great w/ fries. Plenty of beers for all tastes.

Decor was great. Awesome vibe! Loved the collection of skate decks + various stickers. Awesome hip hop playing during our visit.

The definition of a dive bar! However the Food is outstanding! It’s not what you would expect. Philly Cheesesteak is the real deal! Bartenders are great; great selection of local beers and the music rocks! A classic joint that fits the “Dives” in Triple D!

Unbelievably amazing find! Was in the area for a concert and lucked out by finding Fat Cats. Micah was one of the best bartenders we've ever encountered. Suggested the best food and drinks, which did not disappoint. The philly cheesesteak was one of the best I've ever had! The Cuban was delicious, as well as, the fried portobello slices. Very impressed, was inexpensive, and will be back when in the area!

Been coming here for years and just started eating the food. This isn’t a fine dining place so don’t expect that. Dive bar with live music and good local crowd. Full kitchen and bar. Known for the cheesesteaks as well. Service is usually good and they have two bars to get drinks.

Great local bar. The bands were awesome, and the service was great. Definitely a must visit spot when in the area. Food was very good for your typical late night bar food.

Such a fun place. Finding a place where a live band plays some rock music is rare :)

And during my stay in Fort Lauderdale we specifically went out one evening to visit fat cats. We had an amazing time.

Walking to fatcats was quite the experience. I would recommend to take a taxi or Uber directly to the door. As in the evening the location is filled with potential “hazards” all around.

Fat cats has an amazing selection of cans of craft beer from all over the United States. They also have drafts and Staples of the usual sort.

The music performances there are legendary. Doesn’t take long for the dance floor to fill up.
If you like country music rock ‘n’ roll reggae and cover songs this is the place for you.

No rap music

I have been to fat cats plenty of times, and it's a very comforting place, as you know what you always expect there. Cover bands of the 90s and 2000s for the most part. Great beer selection, underrated bar food and a musty smell and dirty bathrooms full of stickers. It is a fort Lauderdale staple for sure. If you like dive bars, you will enjoy this place. Half of the crowd are regulars, so usually a friendly atmosphere. Decent drink prices. I like coming here, just not every weekend.

If you're looking for live music and a cool bar vibe this is one of the better places to go. Service is good, food is good and the prices are average for the area, nothing crazy. I've been here a few times and I like the live band local bar feel of the place instead of the mega complex places (which are cool too).

Fat cats is out of control good food good drinks. I ordered a salad that was like 3 levels better then I would expect. Like their croutons are a whole f***ing toast. Good job doing you

I gave the food on one star because I didn't eat here it is more of a bar not a bar and grill. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was awesome with the cover bands.

If you love rock and roll, great service. Amazing bartenders, fantastic food, and a real cool chill crowd, this is the spot ! The dopiest dive ever. Don’t let the grunge rock n roll vibe deter you from the food either ! It’s made fresh and amazing. Get the Philly. Trust. Smash burger is fire too!

This is my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale. The staff is great, super friendly. There's a really wide selection of beers. They just recently open the kitchen and all of the food is very good. Wednesday night there's a reggae band and over the weekends always a live band

The food is tasty. Some vegan options. I would come again

This is a PERFECT local bar! The bartenders aren't stingy w/ the pour & drink prices are lower than several of the other bars on the Ave.

I don't know how they get down Sunday thru Thursday but on Friday & Saturday night, they have a Live band contributing to an already AWESOME vibe.

If you're downtown, swing thru... You won't regret it. 🤙🏼

Best Cheesesteaks outside of Philly. I dont know how or why but they are fantastic.
