Really wonderful place. The park is fully planted with natural wildlife abundant. The crane habitats are some of the most naturalistic I've ever seen.

The conservation work they do is both important and inspiring. A great way to spend an hour or two.

I went here for the first time in several years and had a wonderful time. My friends and I went on a very informative but not overly long tour, then walked around the rest of the enclosures and hit one or two of the hiking trails. If you like nature, you'll like visiting here! The work the foundation is doing is absolutely fantastic and these are such incredible birds to see and hear (they have very cool calls) in person and up close.

My family spent the day here as a birthday gift for me. What a great place to enjoy the outdoors and nature with them. We did the North American Cranes Tour. Our tour guide Al did a wonderful job educating the group about the Sandhill and Whooping Cranes. Then we did a self guided tour to see the 15 different species of Cranes from around the world. What this foundation does for the cranes is awesome. They research and study the cranes and their habitats to help them coexist with humans. They also help by trying to repopulate the birds in their own habitats and in the facility to be released back into the wild. We all had an enjoyable day. If you are visiting the area you should stop in and see these beautiful birds and visit with the staff that makes this place so special.

This is very peaceful place. I wanna know Friday and they weren’t very many visitors there so it was very relaxing. I got to take my time and see the birds. It was a volunteer walking around answer questions and such. I got to see 13 of the 15 crane species, two of the birds didn’t want to come over a little house. This is the only place in the world that has all 15 species there are some nature trails, which are not particularly interesting at least not in the middle of summer. There’s a large breeding facility in the back that you can see from the nature trails. There’s a short movie showing every 30 minutes. The place was recently renovated, all the walkways are new, the visitor center is beautiful, clean bathrooms. Drinking fountains available. There are some snacks and drinks in the gift shop. Exit through the gift shop.

Great place to tour. We did the self tour and also walked all the nature trails. Very well kept. Beautiful and clean for all the bird friends that are here. Staff was super friendly and I love how they greet you and get you started on your tour. Thus would be great for large groups or just couples (like us) we spent well over 3 hours here. I would recommend to anyone who likes animals and nature.

Absolutely wonderful. 15 species of cranes with potential close-in viewing. Additionally, native plants are noted and explained. The gift shop is well done with quality items. The staff is quite friendly.

We are VERY pleased with our experience at The International Crane Foundation. From outside it appears small and a tad unkept. But, once you pass through the beautiful black wrought iron gates, you'll see the visitor center is nicely updated with one of the nicest gift shops around (reasonably priced yet items appeared upscale. Not the tachy souvenirs you typically find in gift shops). There is a short 12 minute movie introducing you to the history of The Crane Foundation and each type of Crane, that is included in the admission fee. The staff is super friendly and we were extremely impressed with the knowledge of our tour guide Andrea. The landscaping is natural and beautiful (see pics). We were able to view all but 1 species of Crane the day we visited (it was 85 degrees and sunny, so they must have been inside enjoying the shade... who could blame them, lol).
There were plenty of benches/seating, so you can watch the cranes and enjoy the outdoors at your own pace.
We would definitely like to go back one day.

ICF is an incredible group doing amazing work for cranes worldwide. The facility is in excellent shape, showcasing all crane species from around the world. The tour we took was very informational and interesting and I would recommend joining one if you are there at the right time! Gift shop has perfect gifts for crane lovers. Also highly recommend becoming a member.

Really great experience. We received a yearly membership card as a Christmas gift which gave us free admission for our visit. Such a thoughtful gift. A really neat concept with so much to see and learn. Lots of walking trails available too. Really friendly staff/volunteers. Would love to return someday!

What a beautiful place to celebrate such a beautiful bird. Many of their exhibits are very natural crane habitats with such beautiful murals lining some of the walls. Their Work with conservation of cranes is amazing especially with Whopping Cranes and Sandhill Cranes. Their gift shop is potentially the best gift shop ever and I wanted to buy every item. It’s a quick visit only taking about an hour but there are also beautiful nature trails. Definitely would recommend to any Animal enjoyer and is a must do if passing through on I-90!

I love this place it's so interesting it's all Cranes which are birds so if you're a bird person go, definitely go. It's a International Foundation it tells you where all the birds are from and it has the live Birds in their own yards and tells you all about them where they're from they're all different sizes very interesting support the foundation if you can.

Unbelievable. The cranes all looked so real!
Wonderful layout, habitats and landscaping.
I can't go to zoos because I always feel sad for the animals. But, the cranes seem happy and aware this is an opportunity for them to succeed. Great work!!!!

Amazing and tranquil place. The staff is dedicated to their mission and willing to share that with visitors. Level and wide walking paths around the exhibits is ideal for strollers and wheelchairs. There are trails for the more adventurous. Great learning opportunity about cranes.

Main visitor building is just 1 1/2 years old. The facility looks fairly new and nicely kept and landscaped. You will see many cranes, as the display areas make it a sure thing. Tours by naturalist. Beautiful and educational.

What an amazing place! The cranes were beautiful, the facility well thought out and full of great information, and the attendants were very helpful and knowledgeable. We took our entire family—ages one through 70 totally enjoyed the experience. We had a picnic lunch on the beautiful grounds after touring the crane area. Highly recommend!

What a wonderful exhibit of cranes! We've been donors for years but never had the opportunity to visit until last week. The walkways were very accessible and user-friendly, the bird habitats large and open, with lots of viewing areas complete with seating and overhead protection from inclement weather. There was a restroom along the walking path and the buildings were very clean. We really enjoyed our visit. The folks who work there are friendly and helpful! Did I mention how great the gift shop is??
