Great fly shop. A must stop if you’re fishing the area, these guys will help you with gear and tactics to get on the fish. Darren is a great guy, I read through some reviews and some people say he is cocky. Some may assume that, but thats not the case. When I went in one time. I was pretty new to the store. I said I need bone fish flies. His response was where?, I said the Bahamas, he then responded where? I said the Exumas, He said where? I said Staniel Cay. He said alright this is what you need, these fly with the pinks in it. Some would take that as he is being “Cocky”, but Darren does not want to sell you a setup and some flies. He wants to get to know exactly what your going after and the more detail the better. Because when your shot comes he wants to make sure that the odds are with you. And guess what we hooked up with bones with the pinks. As long as the Ole Florida Fly Shop Inc standing I will get everything I need. Also refer everyone I know to Ole Florida Fly Shop Inc. Although I'm an experienced trout angler and fly tyer, I've never fished saltwater. Tying for my first bonefish trip, I've found Ole Florida Fly Shop to be an invaluable resource. I've made almost weekly calls to get advice on tying different patterns, and the staff have been patient and extremely helpful, again and again. I've also been very happy to order materials from the shop, as whenever I need a few items I can order and get exactly what I need at that time, shipped quickly. Customer service is worthy of six stars, if I could give that many!

Awesome shop with a super helpful owner. My husband and I stopped in as we’re on vacation visiting from Tampa. I’m looking forward to gifting my dad with the Beach Snook Box. He enjoys creating his own flys, but I think he’s going to love these ready made flys specifically made for beach snook fishing.

I am new to the fly fishing world but have been fishing my entire life down here in Florida. I decided to come up over the weekend and visit the store and was looking for a peacock bass fly box that they were actually sold out of online. The customer service was AMAZING, I went in and explained what I was looking for (peacock bass set-up) and the gentleman that was helping me made it possible. he mixed and match to get me everything I needed to be successful for the P's. Their prices are on par and even at times cheaper than other resources online, and the know-how and experience you get by visiting the store is invaluable. If you can’t visit, they ship fast as well. I can't say enough good things about these people. I live in TN, so only use their online store, but they helped me with product questions (even sent photos) and even helped me with tips on what to tie for my Florida fly fishing trip. Very helpful and friendly staff, great selection, great prices, free fast-as-Amazon shipping...what else could you ask for?

As a full time Fly and Light tackle fishing guide it’s hard for a fishing shop to impress me. but old Florida did just that.I really like that everything was fly fishing only. Everything was top Quality equipment and gear. The shop was full and had everything in just about any color you would want. Free shipping if you miss something or going out of town. Friendly staff. And competitive pricing. I drove all the way down from Jensen Beach FL. just to check the shop out.

I ordered EP fibers for a trip to SoFla and they were at my house in plenty of time, even with the free shipping. So I decided to make the trek up to check them out and it was awesome. Nice store, tons of materials, has pretty much everything you need if you forget anything or want anything. Best customer service was the key. I dont always write reviews but they were super friendly, extremely knowledgable, and my boy walked out with some slick stickers!

Just left the shop. Everyone was really friendly and the flies are really high quality. There was some older gentleman in there(a customer) that went on and on about his 30 bamboo fly rods. The staff was really nice, even though the guy was clearly talking out of his rear end. Tight lines!

Fantastic customer service even in the time Of Covid. The young man answered my questions via phone with great patience since we were observing social distance practices. Not sure who the other reviewers talked to but this man had the patience of a saint with me. He got me set up with a mangrove rod and lamson reel which I’m dying to introduce to my favorite fishing holes. It would be hard for another fishing shop let alone fly shop to top them anywhere.
