We’ve been visiting Lake Lotus Park for quite a few years now and it’s a great place to take your family. The rangers are attentive, fishing is always a great option and the tragic, albeit short, is an educational experience. Nice park for a picnic too.

Beautiful walking trails and nice facilities before walking. Lots of tables and pavilions for shade. The playground is well maintained with nearby butterfly gardens.

Lake Lotus Park is one of the best in the area. It includes walking trails and an stroller/wheelchair accessible boardwalk paths, a fishing dock, wildlife info, informative panels about the plants, lots of benches, a playground, and CLEAN BATHROOMS! 👍

The map is accurate and easy to follow. Overflow parking is across the street from the entrance and easy to navigate. A shuttle service runs every 25 minutes from the overflow parking to the park, visitors may also safely use the walking path from the overflow parking. Park Rangers are helpful and use golf carts to make regular rounds throughout the walking paths.

Enjoy! 🌳🌿

Peaceful place with plenty of sitting areas, shaded benches, gazebos and designated fishing plus enjoyable boardwalk/ trails. For years it had been impossible to visit due to being closed every time we were in the area. Today was our lucky day. Open from Thursday to Sunday. Swings for kids and grills are also plentiful. Will be back on a Thursday definitely- for some relaxation for me and fishing for my hubby. A piece of heaven in Altamonte.

This little park is just the bees knees.

Since moving to the area a few years ago, I’ve been lucky to live just 2 minutes away from this hidden gem.

There’s a lot of foot area for exploring on their trails (most of which are on risen wooden boardwalks), plus the playground and of course the lake towards the back of the park where there’s always someone fishing. There’s a butterfly garden near the parking/playground areas where I’ve seen massively cool looking caterpillars, incredibly deep colored flowers, and a plethora of butterflies. My one complaint about this park is that it’s closed on weekdays (it’s closed Mon-Wed). I used to have another complaint regarding the trolley, but now that the pandemic has affected everything, there is no more trolley (yay!). You used to have to park on the other side of the main street to ride a trolley if you wanted to get in the park on weekends. Never made sense to me.

If you want to disconnect from the noise of the city, the news, and everything else, but can't go too far from home? Come here. If you easily find the magic in nature, this place is quite the adventure compared to most other parks in the area. You will be absolutely delighted.

Great place to take the family on a well maintained boardwalk. Our family enjoyed seeing turtles, birds and abundant wildlife. There are several areas to stop and look at the beautiful lake. There are abundant fishing locations along the boardwalk so bring your poles.

I like this park! It's a wonderful place for hiking. Peace and quiet. If you like fishing, they have special place for it. If you with kids, it has playground. One time I met there bobcat with kittens. Also you see alligators in the lake. Every time when I visit this park, I find something new as flowers, birds. If you are going here with bicycle, it has special parking inside of park. Don't forget to take repellent for mosquitos. Sometimes you can meet them there too )

Trail run? Fishing? Nature view? A breathe of fresh air?
They all have it here!
I am really amazed as to how they made the running route. The route is made of wood which is to protect humans for wild animals. ( creaking and old but I did not encounter a broken one, but still watch out!) ( you may see a lot of warning signs about alligators inside)
In the middle there is what they call the eye or window of the lake where in you could view the whole lake!
Furthermore, fishing in the area is allowed but make sure you have the license for it.
There are also some playground for kids to play in the middle of the park.
The comfort room is decent and clean.
And they have a map! So we won't get lost!
5 stars for this and this is by far the best i've seen in altamonte. 😊

Highly recommend! Lake Lotus Park is a wonderful place to immerse yourself in Florida nature! The long boardwalk trails take you on an exciting journey with surprises along the way. It gives you the feel of being on a secluded hike without leaving the comforts of civilization, like bathrooms!

Very quiet and tranquil park. Many trails to explore. Creeks and lake attract beautiful wildlife. Earth Day festival is great there every year.

One of the best local parks. It has a lengthy, wood plank walk through the wetlands. Tons of wildlife, plants, trees etc. Multiple viewing platforms for photo taking.

This is a beautiful place . I love the outdoors. They have a wooden walkway that goes through the woods to the lake and around. There are several ways you can go.They also have walking trails that are mulched. You could see a lot of different animals if you're quiet.
There is a play ground for the little ones.
Covid has made things a little different. As to social distancing , etc.
And yes they have a fishing dock!
Have your license with you, if you are of age.
Look up on webpage for days open and times.

Nice place to go for a walk. When it is quiet there is often interesting wildlife to be seen. Since it is closed to the public three days per week the animals tend to stay close to the boardwalks.

Interesting place to birdwatch. Seen snakes, gators, owls, turtles, bunnies and a bunch of lizards. Theres different trails to take but its all one big circle. You can trek in the woods or stay on the boardwalk. There's a beautiful waterfront where fishing is allowed, just don't get your line catch in the brush. Bathrooms are available. Expect natural lighting for the bathroom. A playground is there with swings for the young children. Remind them its always best to take out the trash they bring in. A small community library is there. Take a book or leave a book, just keep the door closed! No bikes or pets. Please try to remain quiet and respectful of the other birdwatchers.

Trail wasn't crowded and most of it was boardwalk. The views were really nice. Saw a Bard owl and several butterflies.
The boardwalk is almost completely shaded and the forest has many sights.

Amazing peaceful urban oasis with plenty of benches to sit back and relax; long boardwalk trails; clean restroom and pavilions. Restrooms have flushable toilets, toilet tissue, and faucets with soap and hand dryer. Perfect park for anyone who wants a nearby getaway from the city or suburban life. Also great educational plaques on the nature life and watershed in Lake Lotus. Please note below the photos and address differences for parking. Only open Thursday through Sunday.

Off-Site PARKING and TRAM pick-up: Set GPS to:

WEEKENDS: Do NOT set GPS to the actual park address, 1153 Lake Lotus Park Road, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714.

For the 2 times I have visited, Lake Lotus Park is so serene and has long stretches of boardwalk for the trail. Thankful for the trail maintenance team who built and maintains this so that the public can enjoy this wonderful park.
