Hot Tails

I’m in town for the week working and wanted something good. Checked it out because they had great reviews and I can say, this place does not disappoint at all.

I travel all over the US working and this is definitely one of my top 5 best restaurants I’ve eaten at to date.

The fried gator appetizer has a great flavor and goes great with their in-house sauce too.

The crawfish Poboy is absolutely amazing. The flavor it has and it’s over all makeup is so great. The “whole” sandwich is huge and well worth it. The fries are amazing also along with their in house sauce.

Last time in I had their “choose 2” combo platter. I had their fish and shrimp platter and it was superb also. The taste you get from every bite is just perfect and, I keep saying it, the in-house sauce just blends with everything there.

And I can’t forget about the Couyon Melt. I was not disappointed with this burger. The expectations fell right in line with the rest of the food here and was extremely flavorful.

Overall, 10 stars here for sure. I highly recommend you going here and getting something to eat.

I was in the area, and wanted to try something local... There's a location in my area, but I wanted to try the original... Never been to the second location yet, but I'll get there eventually. First off, I love the atmosphere and the decor. The country music added to the atmosphere. I got the crawfish bread and the New Orleans style bbq shrimp. Both dishes were AMAZING!! They really put their foot in it! Since the 2nd location is much closer to me, I definitely have to geaux there soon. Hopefully it's just as good as the original!!

I am a TN native who had to get the Louisiana experience, I popped in to Hot Tails. Lemme tell you this place is off the chain! The scenery is glorious, and it feels like home honestly. I got the Crawfish burger cooked to perfection so damn good!, and the Red beans were to die for! I highly recommend beyond measure! The staff are absolutely on point, I can't wait to get back!

Delicious Cajun food I had the Couyom burger! Come and try it out! The BBQ shrimp are also amazing!

Best gumbo I have had in years!! Etoufe was delicious as well. It's a little pricey, but I plan on going back when in town!

Loved it! Fabulous Cajun food!! This is the type of place that visiting Louisiana is all about!! We had a party of six. Everyone ordered something different and we all enjoyed it.

The food was good the service was great. Can't wait to go back to Louisiana will definitely be stopping here to eat again.

Best food I had in a minute, good flavor, good spice, and nice and juicy!!! Definitely get your money's worth!!

Prices were a little expensive, but food was excellent. A lot of choices on the menu. We ordered a fish and shrimp plate and a side of etoufee. All of it was so good!

I was in the area on business and decided to stop in. Hands down the best food I have had in the 3 days I have been here. Everything my group ordered was phenomenal and the service was great as well. If you are like me and not from here the following will be helpful: they have happy hour specials on appetizers which are very reasonably priced and kids meals are available and priced reasonably. For the amount and quality of food the prices are very fair!

WOW, the food was excellent, service was great. I wish I had one close to my home. It makes all those fancy, expensive restaurants in New Orleans look like a fast food place.

I've eaten at Hot Tails several times and always enjoyed it. The fried rabbit and big juicy hamburger were both top notch. Drinks are reaso nably priced. $2 drafts of Parish beers for happy hour is a steal.

This place is SO GOOD!!!!! You can't go wrong on anyhing. Our food came out in 10 minutes. DISCLAIMER: IF YOUR TASTE BUDS ARE WEAK (CANDYASS) GO TO MCDONALD'S DOWN THE STREET!!!!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! YOU ARE TASTING LOUISIANA!!!! I was born and raised in Louisiana and moved to Texas about 16 years ago. I loved coming home to the Great State Louisiana and tasting my heritage again. Texas is so bland. Thanks

Friendly staff, great atmosphere with Bar on sight, a little pricey but but awesome food love the theme inside and outside of the restaurant. We will go again and I highly recommend it to anyone.

My all time favorite place in town. The food never disappoints me! I love how spicy everything is. Always great beers on tap. I get the barbecue shrimp every time I go, it’s just amazing! You can’t go wrong with this place.

I am from out of state and was only in New Roads for a quick work trip. Me and 2 other members of my team really wanted Cajun food before we left. A quick Google search turned up Hot Tails and it happened to only be a few miles from our job site so we decided to give it a shot.

All I can say is that we were NOT disappointed! I had the crawfish burger, and the others had the shrimp po'boy and thin catfish platter. The portions are huge and we were all very happy with our food! The staff was also very friendly and kept checking in on us to make sure we were still doing well. If I'm ever back in this neck of the woods, I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

My wife and I shared the combo plate of fish and shrimp. She got a side Caesar salad to go along with hers. We still had a go-box with food we could not finish eating! I got one of their specialty Happy Hour drinks called the Millionaire Moonshine and it was so good that I ended up getting a second one. We don't get to go here to eat very often but this day we were in the area and wanted to stop again. It was a great meal as were the times we went in the past.

Awesome place! Stopped through here on my way home from a job, it was recommended by a friend who'd been before, I definitely recommend going out of your way if you are traveling and try this little place out, you won't regret it!
