Horrible. Didn’t mind taking my 800$ but didn’t mind not showing up in court either. Said bc “technically” his name was attached to my case that he did his job. LOL I went to court the DA said that he never shows up never answers calls. Which he was not there at this time either. So the DA and myself came to an agreement without the attorney there. No advice from my attorney nothing. Said he could have got me probation well the DA and I came to an agreement to drop all charges has to pay some fines. Then I informed Mr.Batts that I came to an agreement without him since he was not present on my court date and he did not offer any type of refund any type of apology or any type of paper work showing where he worked on my case. Period. -5 stars. Worst 800$ I have ever threw in the garbage in my life!!!!!

This lawyer is horrible. If it was possible to give him 0 stars i would. To get in contact with his office is like jumping through hoops. Then when you do finally speak to them they are incredibly rude. I would have fired him if i didn’t already pay him majority of his fee. He did not explain my options thoroughly. The first thing he ever says to me when he saw me was in reference to his payment. I guided most of the conversation with questions that were never directly answered or throughly explained.

They claim to have sent me letters updating me on my status and when i told them they were never received and inquired on why they never called me if i did not reach back out to them at the deadline the insisted were in the letters they were defensive and try to put the blame on me.

When i complained to Richard batts about his team and my inability to get in contact with him he gave me his personal number which he never answered even when he was PHYSICALLY at my court case and even after asking me to call him and update him on my status when i was handling legal errands in preparation of my court case.

When he finally represented me in court all he did was read the bio i gave him and then we left. I could of did that myself. He did not do anything to formally defend me.

They tell me that it’s unrealistic to expect a call back from him since he has so many other cases but also that i have to wait to speak to him when asking questions.

I could have a warrant for my arrest right now and wouldn’t even know because no one from that office has contacted me about anything.
They claimed to have sent me a letter saying that i needed to have my community service letters sent in before October 1st from my last conversation with Richard Batts i was told BY October 1st. When i called to make sure they revived my information they told me i sent it in late(something i had to call to find out) and i needed to send them in a different form. On October 5th they received everything as asked and today on November 27th when i realized i haven’t seen anything from them i called and the girl , Ashley i believe her name is, was very rude to me and told me that the last time we spoke was October 1st ( which was a lie because i spoken to the office at least twice before the 5th) and then directed me to wait from a possible call from Richard Batts. When i asked her why no one ever called when they didn’t receive the official letter heads an e-mail sent to them, sent by the company i volunteered with ,that i was CC’d on ,she had no answer.

I do not recommend this man i purely picked him because we went to the same university.

My experience with this lawyer's office has been horrible!!!! Attonery Batts is my brother's lawyer not mine I was have been fired him and demanded my money back. He told my brother my brother that myself and his girlfriend needed to be at court if not he would subpoena us both to be there this was Feb13, 2017. Myself and my brother's girlfriend took off of work and made sure we were in court on time as requested. Attonery Batts didn't even show up at all. Myself and my brother called his office all day leaving messages for him to call us back. We were told that he had another court case in superior court in another city but he would come right after he got out. The judge said he would wait for him to show up. After sitting in court all day listening to everybody else case there was still no sign of this Attonery Batts no phone call from him or anything. So we had to leave without even being heard. Today Feb 20, 17 a whole week later I still have not heard from this man. I called his office today and spoke with what sounded like a girl to me by the name of Ariley that had poor customer service. I doubt if this man will ever call me back but I took the time out to write all of this just to let you know my experience with this office their piss poor scheduling and poor customer service has been very disappointing to me. This is not how you should conduct business with anybody either you perform to the fullest of your ability or you drop the case, this is not acceptable. I would give him zero stars if that was an option.
