Was showing property in the area and had read good reviews on this place. Glad we came! We both had Edgar’s Nachos, but added veggies. They give you lots of cheese sauce! I had beef, chicken and shrimp on mine. Chips and salsa was really good. Great service, they were very friendly and food came fast and hot. Nice decor! 🌮 🇲🇽

Overall a wonderful experience. My first time eating here so I stuck with the safe bet of nachos. My boyfriend got the hot and spicy burrito it was delicious. The quesadilla was good. I'm very picky about guacamole and this establishment nailed it

Coming from Texas.. this is truly the best Mexican or TexMex in the Greene/Polk County area. Some may disagree but truly no other restaurant compares. The restaurant is also decently clean and staff is always nice and smiling.

I ate dinner here with my family for my cousin's graduation from Evangel University, the day after Cinco de Mayo this year. Our reservation was in an unusually beautiful dining room for a Mexican restaurant, with plaques of deer and Eastern gobblers on the wall, plus an artifical waterfall.
I ordered a Shrimp Quesadilla Dinner, which was really delectable.
This is a great Mexican restaurant for its location in Downtown Bolivar.

Ordered my fav beef fajita lunch plate which was great as usual.
Friendly service too.
I've had their home-made tamales a few times in the past and they're pretty good.

El Rodeo has been a staple of our "going out" habits since my wife and I got together. It was our first date, and still remains a quality environment for us to attend.

The customer service is amazing. They often times remember their customers, and their favorite dishes.

The food is incredibly priced with massive portions. I could go on and on about the quality of food here. It's delicious, filling, and always cooked to perfection.

Good authentic Mexican food. Atmosphere was cool as well! My wife has been coming since she was a kid and my first time. It was very good

Stop here every time we're in Bolivar. Been there several times over the last 18 years and my wife's been eating at El Rodeo for about 25 years (she introduced me to the place).

There was not a single thing to complain about, other than the fact that the food was so good I over ate. I loved seeing the staffs happy energy.

We brought 32 people from Galmey Community Bible Church and our one waitress did a fabulous job 👏 😀

All I can say is really I am never disappointed here. I order the chicken fajitas every time and they are great. The chips and salsa are a great appetizer. Great flavor to the salsa. Super good , friendly service. Not too long of a wait on the food. Thank you.

Take a glimpse of old mexico in Bolivar. From the hand carved seating to the authentic cooking, you won't be disappointed. I've never had a bad meal yet nor left feeling I could eat another bite. Fully satisfying and a true taste of old Mexico. Don't let this location pass you by.

Great authentic Mexican decor ,food and atmosphere. Try the Texas fajitas, the smell, the steam, truely something to envy if you didn't order them. Love this place, staff and awesome sweet tea and salsa. ☆Also the prefect place to have your birthday☆

Literally have been going there for 18 years and have NEVER had a bad experience!

I lived in Texas for 10 years and recently moved back to SW MO. Have not had the level of tastiness for Mexican food until I visited El Rodeo. Although the height of the lunch hour. I was cheerfully seated immediately and was brought chips and salsa. The lunch meal of taco and meat enchilada with beans was filling and oh so satisfying to the taste buds. My server checked in with me frequently to see if I needed anything. Which was very appreciated. Finally the bill came and I was pleasantly surprised at the “lunch time” special pricing discount. Beautiful decor and wounderful staff all around!

Had never eaten here before. Very big portions of food, everybody was getting take home boxes. More busy then any other restaurant I have been in, in this city. Service great. Very friendly and attentive.

The owners and all staff members are fantastic with customer service and are some of the most down to earth people you'll ever meet.
The food comes in larger portions, is always piping hot (even if ordering carry out) they're queso is amazing, and I crave their Texas fajitas basically every day.
The atmosphere is phenomenal, and is perfect for going out with a group of friends or family.
10/10 recommended.
