This place is adorable. The food was so good and so reasonably priced. You get to pick all of your own toppings and sauces. Best sweet tea ever!The seating area had such a romantic, small town feel. I would drive the 2 hr trip again just to eat here.

What a great place to eat. I was in line today waiting to order when the guy in front of me ordered then didn’t realize they only took cash or check. Instead of them letting him leave without eating, they said it was already made to go ahead and enjoy his lunch and to come back and see them. What a great display of the roosts of a family business. You guys will always have my business!

If you are looking for some good food that's served fast and with a low price, this is the place for you. They have a plain, simple menu that helps keep prices low. It's centered around BBQ pork, ham and chicken with some unique offerings. You order, pay and pick up your food at the counter. After that, you add your own condiments and get your own drink. It's fast food with an old fashion flair. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

The pulled pork and BBQ at this tiny, hidden gem is awesome. The lunches are very casual — it's like popping into your grandparents' kitchen for a quick, home-cooked meal. Restaurant only takes cash/checks and is open limited hours, but the food is so delicious that it's even worth putting a reminder on your phone. (I can't remember if there's an ATM on site, but there is one right up the street.)

If you're traveling through Bolivar, MO around lunchtime, you need to stop at Rooster's.

Great food, great service, great prices, and fast service.
I'd passed by this place many times but there was nothing drawing me in from the curb appeal.
I now know that's because the appeal is all on the inside. Well worth checking out, and once you do I'm sure like me you'll return often.

Good food.. Simple menu.. Great prices...not open for dinner only lunch.. The loaded baked potatoe with pulled pork is huge..really enough for two people

The atmosphere here is so laid back and relaxed, the owner is so nice, the food is simple and good with great prices. You can get in and eat very quickly and then relax and watch Andy Griffith for your relaxing lunchtime.

The food was wonderful and this is where we are having church. Thank you for opening up your establishment so we can worship here on Wednesday and Sunday.

Wonderful barbeque, atmosphere and owners. They come by the table to thank you and say hello. I also appreciate their displays of Gods word around the restaurant. Must visit when in Bolivar.🙂
