D's Country Kitchen

The all you can eat fish is delicious on a Friday night. They were completely packed. But it was well worth it. I love the fact that they are proud of veterans. Has a lot of antique decorations. Awesome place.

First timer. Clean place. Super waitress. Good food. Had chopped steak, potatoes with gravy, green beans, roll. Beans were buttery flavored. Only complaint was butter spread. Yuck. Heavy duty silverware. And I had a moth for dining company. He didn't say much, wanted a ride west. Sorry lil buddy, I'm going east. Has truck parking.

This little place is wonderful. The service was great. The patrons were all friendly.
The food was GREAT.
If you are in SE MO you should get some good food.

Stopped in late afternoon as I was cutting through the state. The waitress was super friendly and offered some suggestions. I was really just in the mood for some chicken tenders and was glad that I did order these. It was not your run-of-the-mill over cooked dry, thin, flavorless that you would expect. These were extremely flavorful fresh light batter. I opted for mashed potatoes and gravy and fried potatoes that day, and it was exactly what I was expecting a real home-cooked meal. I had about an hours worth of paperwork to do on my computer and they had no problem with me sitting in the corner quietly, doing my work before I went back on the road. I found that the restaurant was extremely clean. The bathrooms were extremely clean , if you’re cutting through I highly suggest stopping in. The day I was there they had a ham and beans special which looked great but I was really craving some type of chicken

My family and I were road-tripping from Florida to Missouri and getting quite hungry to say the least! I spotted this cute, red restaurant when we passed by and decided to turn around. SO GLAD WE DID!
This place was warm and welcoming with great country style food! Super clean and wonderful energy. So if you’re driving down the road like us and happen to spot a bright red building, definitely stop and try D’s country cooking! 🍴♥

This place is up on the hill of the road. It's definitely worth a chance. I loved my food. Only negative comment, my first cup on coffee was burnt. I got some out of a fresh pot after that and everything was great. I did put pepper on my food before I took a picture.

We stopped here to get the fried catfish mainly, and it was very good and freshly cooked. The homemade tartar sauce added an extra layer of deliciousness. Two out of the four got the catfish and the other two got the hamburger. The burger was cooked perfect with a butter bun and the curly fries are a winner! Couldn’t try the desert but I’d imagine it’d be fabulous.

The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. Easy location right off the highway. Thanks D!

Overall we would revisit

This place definitely earns the title of a "Country Kitchen" type of restaurant. All the food is prepared just right. My favorite is the Friday evening All You Can Eat catfish . The pieces are sorta large and they first bring you 3 to start you off then they come around with more pieces for those who want them . I have personally eaten 5 pieces but little else. This comes with 2 sides and usually a warm dinner roll or hushpuppies . Her pies are home made and are the best around . It's best to get there by at least 5 pm because they always get very busy later. I plan to go for fish tonight.

Folks, they moved to a beautiful new building just a bit up 60, up on a new side road. Major hangout garden currently under construction so a great summer spot. Amazing Chicken Fried Chicken, no knife needed, crispy shell and perfect interior. Went with white gravy/Chef’s choice. Plenty of ready ideas for melts plus customize and the cole slaw may have a bit of mustard in it distinguishing D’s Country Kitchen as a finer establishment.✔Nicest folks help you beat the hanger.

D’s is a friendly down to earth restaurant, where locals come to sit and enjoys each other’s company. Prices were outstanding, and best believe you get your moneys worth in you meal. Definitely a must stop if you happen to be traveling in the area. I’m a truck driver so I made a upturn once I seen the TRUCKS WELCOME sign. It’s always nice to get a good meal in when it’s available.

The adult grilled cheese was the best dang grilled cheese I’ve ever had! 😍

Food was fresh and tasty! Our waitress was very kind and answered all our questions. Definitely a nice place to stop for a really good meal if you're on the road and in a hurry.

Very good food, quick service, friendly staff, decent prices, and truck parking. Only complaint is Google has them listed in the wrong building, but they have a big sign tjats hard to miss. Definitely recommend stopping in!

We stopped in on our way through for lunch. It was amazing food, everything we ordered was delicious. The wait staff was great and the kids even got suckers before we got back on the road. We will make sure we stop in again.

Great family atmosphere. Enjoyed the samples of fish and squash very much. The veteran appreciation wall was respectfully done! Will definitely return often.

The best fried okra I’ve eaten! Smothered chicken was very good. Good loaded potato. Good service. Reasonable prices.
