Bogue Chitto Wilderness Trail

We thoroughly enjoyed this trail. The raised path over the water was well taken care of, with a gorgeous view of the water & wildlife.
We went on a more overcast day, but I definitely recommend wearing bug repellent.
This is definitely somewhere I recommend checking out. The trail was well worth the drive.

The boardwalk here is nice and looks brand new. Dog friendly and good for fishing as well. This trail needs a couple trash cans though. There is maybe 10 pieces of trash that have been thrown over the boardwalk. There are ZERO trash cans.

I love this place it's so peaceful and beautiful the alligators are so awesome to see everything about this place is amazing 😍

Nice place to take a break from driving and walk around. We saw snakes and birds, but that was about it.

We arrived in the evening, but we enjoyed the exploring that we were able to get. It was beautiful. And my 13 year old was excited to see an alligator.

Great place to walk, no Gator siting; did see lots of spiders. Was a great get away from city life.

Good fishing, peaceful, and wildlife you don’t see often. I’ve seen gators, a bald eagle, many waterfowl, wild hogs

Absolutely beautiful scenery and easy walk on the boardwalk. Fishing piers and trails.

Very relaxing- even saw an alligator in the water- spiders in webs- praying mantis- a cormorant and an anhinga. Very productive walk.
