Highland Community Hospital

From start to finish, one of the best ER treatments I have ever received. Everyone was kind and polite. No one acted like they hated their job. All were professional. My wound was cleaded, stitched and bandaged in what seemed like only an hour. Absolutely nothing negative to say on my first visit there.

My daughter had an ultrasound done Saturday am 2/17/24. The tech was very kind, friendly and took a lot of time with my daughter and her husband. He was very appropriate and knowledgeable. This young man is an asset to your staff , he took the pain she has been having seriously , unlike her OB and GP.

Highland has the absolute best staff! From the moment I entered the hospital till I left they were 100% focused on helping/tending to me and my baby. This is my first child so I was already nervous and didn’t know what to expect, but they helped clear any anxiety I had for a very smooth delivery. I loved that my baby was with me majority of the time and they gave us our space to really get to bond. Of course I have to give a special thank to Dr. Jean Pierre!! She is such an amazing person with the best attitude! When baby number 2 comes around I will definitely be going back.

The staff was very attentive and friendly. The test were preformed quickly and no long wait for results. After the diagnosis the prescriptions were called to my pharmacy I was given my release paper. I had a very good experience in the ER.

I used to dread going to the ER; due to it seemed as the staff just didn’t care. BUT I had to go recently and from the time I got registered and then seen, staff was very friendly and compassionate. I really liked my nurses Jordan and Shelby. Dr Hudgins was very nice and listened to what I had going on and made sure that I got checked for Covid, Strep, and EKG. She just wanted to make sure she didn’t miss anything. I hope to not have another emergency but if I do; will definitely go back.

I sliced my finger open while repairing a light fixture. Staff were extremely friendly from registration the nurses. Fast eval minimal wait time, 5 painless stitches later I was out the door.

We had an amazing doctor in the ER. She made my 7 year old feel calm during a scary time. We went in for forehead stitches and we were in and out within 2 hours. She explained everything to not just us the parents but to my daughter as well. She also took time to answer my daughters questions. We had an amazing experience.

I came into the ER Wednesday night around 4:30ish. Very sick, but I was so impressed with everyone. Butch, RN, was waiting on me as I was registering in to be seen. I was immediately brought back, and 3 nurses—Butch, Donald, and 1 other gentleman (I was kind of out of it, so I can't recall his name)—were all in the room, attending to me in the best way possible. My doctor, Dr. Myrick, was so personable and kind. I appreciate the support and fast response to my road to recovery. Great job HCH ER 👍🏼

My husband and I just left your lovely facility. We were on our way to visit our son, a Pathologist who works for Lab Corp in Birmingham, AL. I noticed discoloring on my left index finger and thought it might be a spider bite. The quick, thorough care I received was awesome. Whatever happened was not serious - but even non poisonous spiders can have staff. To be on the safe side, I was given a prescription which I will fill at my son’s. But I’ve let him know how great everyone was, from the receptionist through the discharge nurse. Thanks to you all. Happy Thanksgiving, Connie Anderson, Baton Rouge, LA. No waiting at all I went straight to triage with abdominal pain. Quick service it was clean they gave me pain med without treating me like an addict as other ERs do and have done to me. The nurses and ER docs were near perfection. So clean too in an ER I have been impressed this is my third visit this last year. Thank you all for being there for me.

Highland Community Hospital in Picayune is a fabulous place. My mother has had short stays maybe a day or two. She has longer stays over two weeks. She has been in emergency, ICU and a regular room. Always great care.

Although most of her family is not local Highland provides continuous communication on her progress for the times we are not local.

Every time is a good experience in healthcare. With each admittance, the staff is helpful and kind to my mom. This last time she told her nurse Jason, ‘what if I refuse to leave?’

Very impressed with the time it took in the ER. I obviously was a simple case, but either way I was seeing people get in and get out. No one wants to be in the ER but sometimes it is necessary. Dr. Rockie was amazing.

I had to go to the emergency room in picayune Highland community hospital. I didn't have to wait to long to get into a room & then service. They helped me with my sickness and treated me well and gave me the medicine I needed to get me well.

I was diagnosed with Covid a day after my son was. He went to an instant care, but I went to the hospital. He received minimal care. I received excellent care at Highland hospital. I had a preconceived notion of a glorified band aid station. However, after I received my treatments i felt so much better than before I went there! Thank you Dr Funck and nurse Hunter for the fantastic care you gave to me. I know you had a very busy day, but still took some time and cared for me!! Also, Hunter cuddoos on your sticking skills- I am not an easy stick and one stick- impressive!! Anyway, thanks y’all!!

I was seen quickly, tests, blood work all done quickly. Everyone was very nice-from the nurses and doctors to the ct and ultrasound and explained everything to me. I felt like they listened to all my concerns. I would definitely recommend.We are fairly new to the area and it’s nice to know we have such a great facility right here!

Well my Doctor is amazing I’ve seen him Twice this year… But I’m still fighting to get well . I should have talked with him a little more and my recovery would probably have been over now. But bc of my silence he treated my only from what he knew and saw for him self . Which was fantastic!! But had I spoke more all avenues would have been cover . So he’s great !!! And too all reading this be sure and talk to your doctor about all things going on with your body that is warning you that something is just nit right . It can only help you . Sometimes things are nit visual and sometimes one thing has to be treated to get rid of the other . So write it down if you have to but let your doctor know. It’s your health. And only you know when it’s nit functioning correctly. … I love you guys !! Thank you so much !!

I arrived at 2 am and the staff couldn’t have been nicer if they tried. I had a lot of pain and they helped do everything to ease my pain. Dr. Funk was very kind and my nurse was very empathetic and caring. It was a great experience for such a bad health issue.

Very sweet and kind group of medical professionals. Timely with my care. I was feeling bad that day and in pain! The medical staff understood my situation. Love Highland Hospital of Picayune! Keep up the good work! ❤❤❤
