Seagrove Family Restaurant

We enjoyed our first visit. Breakfast was wonderful, biscuits huge! Our waitress was outstanding, even helping elderly to their car! We'll be back when in the area.

Good food and a nice vibe. Very classic diner feel, with great burgers and breakfast options in my experience (I haven't gotten to try their soups or BBQ yet).

If you like southern food and hospitality check this place out before visiting the various pottery vendors around town (sea grove is known for their local pottery ) Great little spot to fuel up on local food .. Christie our server was uber sweet ! My friend had the pulled pork sandwich and coconut cream pie 🥧 which they did not charge for .YEA! Not many choices for vegetarians which was to be expected so I had the mashed potatoes 🥔 green beans and beets which just perfect.. by 12:30 this lil spot was packed from corner to corner … after lunch we went out to the back and saw the beautiful beautiful horses and barns ! Now that was the perfect ending to a lovely lunch !! So check it out if you are out and about

I chose this location by googling diners in Seagrove, NC. The interior is what one would expect from a diner. I found out that this restaurant used to be called Jugtown Cafe. I was familiar with that name. My only complaint was that they gave me solid cold butter to try to smear on my toast. That doesn't work. It will not spread. I asked for melted butter and was given the butter flavored oil that so many diners use. I am well aware that that's what diners put on toast when they make it with it already on there, I just would have appreciated it had they allowed the butter to come room temperature before serving it to customers. Getting to see the horses next door was quite charming. In spite of the cold butter, I would recommend this diner to anyone.

Hometown fare with attentive southern country service. They were a little busy, but someone was willing to come out of the kitchen to get our drink orders and menus while we waited on our waitress.
The food is good home cooking with a variety of options from sandwiches and wraps to salads and dinner plates. This is a very economical place to eat, without the economical style food. Portions are generous and everything was well prepared. We had a good cross section of the menu with a Grilled chicken taco salad, Fat Boy Burger, Grilled Chicken Wrap, and Country Fried Steak w/ Creamed Potatoes (mashed potatoes) and Fried Okra. We also finished off with Coconut Cream Pie and Pig Picking Cake. Pie was awesome & the cake was good (not as flavorful as I would like, but others would probably like it).
Enjoyed ourselves and left full and well satisfied.

If u are looking to dine in a quaint family atmosphere, this is definitely up your alley. The food is delicious with the taste of home cooking. The staff is very friendly (even at 5:30 am). They also offer a good variety of meals. Try the food and diner! U will love both.

The food was great as was the service our waitress was constantly checking on toake sure we got what we needed or to ask if we did need anything . Great place to take the family

Just like Grandma and Grandpa used to make! This restaurant reminds me so much of the little diner Grandpa always took me to for lunch. 😊 Awesome food! Wonderful just sweet as pie service from all! Totally off the beaten path and worth every mile! If you need a stop from Ohio to Myrtle or anywhere in between and you miss good home cookin. This is your spot! Stop on in! Stopped at this little family diner in the middle of a road trip back to PA. Doesn’t look like much but let me tell you I got hot dogs and fries. Everything we received was fresh down to the onions on my hot dogs. The fries were hot and delicious. Great experience. Staff was extremely friendly.

The burgers were some of the best we've tasted for 50 miles. Relatively cheap as well amd very friendly staff.

Food and staff are excellent and worth the trip

A group of Senior Adults from Kannapolis visited today, February 21 2023. The food was outstanding and the servers and staff very friendly. We will return. This restaurant is highly recommended!

Good deals on good food. We three each had something different and all were good. Their fries are plentiful and delicious. Their chips are unique, plentiful, hot, and delicious also. They close at 2 PM so get there before 1:30 and you'll be happy to enjoy a good time. Service is a bit slow due to Covid making it hard to find workers but the two young people working were really trying hard to keep up.

Had the "Senior Breakfast." It was delicious. I want the recipe for their biscuits. They are so light and fluffy!

I mostly stop in for breakfast and I have always been pleased with the service and the food. Recommended

This is a awesome place to get breakfast or lunch, keep in mind they close at 2:00 p.m. . The food is extremely good, the portion sizes are large, the cost of the drinks are either included with the meal are very reasonable. And the folks running it are top notch, looking forward to being in the area again so we can try out some other items on the menu

I grew up 3 miles from here in the “burbs” of Seagrove. My family used to eat here regularly way back in the day starting in the 70s, after we came to town from New Jersey in 1974…. way back in the day, as they say. I
And I’m Happy to report that not much has changed - the food and service still wonderful as I had remembered.
Thank you to the fine folks at Seagrove family restaurant! Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the delicious nostalgia. 🥰

Homemade chicken salad with home canned pickles was yummy and super affordable. Check out their specials board. Fat boy burger is HUGE.
