What cool little local coffee shop. I wish we lived closer. This was a random one off visit but it comes across as a hole in the wall place for locals. In a really good way.

The coffee was great and the woman behind the counter was super nice but the service was a bit slow. There was a line when I came in on a late Saturday afternoon but she apologized for the wait and got the order completely correct and seemed genuinely sorry for the wait. So honestly, it wasn’t a big deal. Would stop by again if I was around that area. (Plus I would bring a few quarters for the arcade)

I love this coffee shop because the lattes are wonderful and come here every time I visit Greensboro. Yesterday I met super barista, Paige.
She made my experience even better. She is so efficient and personable and treats everyone like they are her only customer.

Third times the charm! My first time here I tried the Leonardo, and I thought it was ok. My second time I tried the Marilyn Monroe because I thought white chocolate + raspberry would be great together, but I am realizing that I am not a fan of coffee. I literally only consume it because I need a boost. And today I came here during my lunch break and I was going to get a Matcha tea latte, but they didn’t have any Matcha left (sad) so I went for a piña colada smoothie. It is amazing!

My first few times here I also worked on a personal projects after I got off the clock. I like that they’re open later in the day (until 10, I think) and I love their cozy atmosphere.

Cute little spot and one of the only places downtown with great parking. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and the vibe is very jazz club. Nice drinks and fun creations

Wow, if I were a regular coffee goer, and wanted a place to hang out, this place is where I would go. The specialties are amazing, we tried the Marilyn Monroe and Brad Pitt. I liked the Monroe over Pitt personally but it’s very unique, tasty coffee. The atmosphere is down to Earth. I feel like it gives an Asheville vibe. The music while I was there was 90’s alt/grudge which fits the atmosphere. Give this place a try for the coffee, and the atmosphere! I love this place. Wish I knew about this place earlier and makes me wish I attended UNCG for college. Good feelings all around.

Karli? Carly? Karlie? Carlie? Anyway, always love it when she's working, she's half the vibe of the place (maybe more, and also has the best head of hair in town) and she always has great suggestions for drinks, which she then makes quickly and with ease. Also, it is *really* cute in there, definitely a locals vibe. I appreciate that it's not the kind of coffee shop you'd want to park it in for hours and work. It's definitely set up more for conversation. It's a great place to say "meet me for a coffee."

I live out in the country on the edge of town so I'm only ever in there during the day, but the daytime customer mix is always so random and diverse, from hipster/activist kids to shaved-head feminists, well-put-together Black women, even some chubby white guys who look they might have been in the same frat back in the day. We've never waited too long for a beverage, even when ordering something stupid with multiple ingredients that takes as long to say as it does to make (I say this relatively, because I *have* been in there when there's a line 5-6 deep and only one person behind the counter, but that's not the barista's fault).

The coffee here is consistently on point but today the person behind the counter pulled the smoothest espresso shots I've ever had. They also said they liked my BtBaM shirt and basically I wanna be their best friend now.

Good place to hang out and just relax. Coffee is really good and their baked goods are too. Went late Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy and we were able to find street parking nearby.

The perfect hangout for those in the know. Open mic nights and delicious offerings. .fresh daily baked goods, draft beers and wine round out the total coffee house experience. Not to mention the arcade in the back. I recommend the iced Angela Bassett or Robert Downey Jr. Be sure to stop by Lindley Park Vntage right next door and say hi to Carolyn while you peruse their mid-century postmodern furniture and vintage pieces.

tight knit community. the occasional drunk dude may try to ruin the experience during open mic nights by trying to get all our numbers, but the owners and some others will usually take em to the curb. I probably wouldn't bring kids between the age of 6-10, but it really depends on the parenting choice, time of day - ect. do want to add that bathroom is always full, people have to walk to suds n duds ( think it's called ) across the street sometimes.
food isn't great, but it's not really intended for foodies. supper supportive croud.

We are only passing through but what a great find. Both our espresso drinks were top notch, morning staff was very friendly and helpful. Masks were required and staff was all masked. Wish we lived nearby - this would be or go-to.

Everyone needs a dive coffee shop in their neighborhood and this one is ours. They have great coffee drinks plus straight up coffee which is what I like. Open mic nights too!

First time visiting Common Grounds. I ordered the Angela Bassett coffee, which is dark chocolate, lavender, and vanilla. So delicious. I definitely recommend to visit for the other variety of drinks they offer

Creative coffee names for wonderfully crafted drinks. The cafe is calming and comfortable to spend your day working or relaxing at one of their tables.

Really electric place, love the plants and it’s very rustic feel. The staff was friendly and helpful. E cappuccino was good and enough amount of foam. Got me some beans as well, will update how I like them.
