This is a nice little pocket park; good for a bit of walking, or investigating the preserved historic remains of the Hopkins Homestead. The buildings are locked, but you can still get a peek inside...no public restrooms, but there is a trash can, and ample parking (including a couple handicapped ♿ spaces), and they keep it well maintained and mowed.
Tannenbaum Park is located on the field where Generals Nathaniel Greene and Cornwallis met to fight a pivotal battle during the Revolutionary War...come check out this peaceful little spot!
I've not been to one, but apparently they perform occasional reenactments and historical tours here, as well.

This is one of the neatest walking tours I've been on. It's free too! Constructed with a lot of time and effort and money, this park and museum gives history lessons on the Revolutionary War ( how America separated from Britain ). It's a great walking trail and they've put together a phone app that gives details at each memorial site.

We were visiting the reenactment this weekend. Enjoyed the sights, sounds, and smells of the wood fire, food and the soldiers marching off to Battle.

What a wonderful park! Very easy to get to. Really enjoyed my stroll around. Such history here! If those walls could talk the stories they would tell! I could really imagine real people, way back when, going about their daily chores.

Well kept park, great for families. You should visit!

Honestly, I really only go here to play Pokemon Go! but I do like that you can learn some cool historical facts because they have some plaques posted as well as a few posts for the automated tour guide that's throughout the city.

A pivotal location in the revolutionary war. I was surprised my young boys 5 and 7 were as interested as they were. We watched the 30 minute film documentary at location. Nice quality.

Well maintained, nice representation of history and totally free. There are three or four buildings at the park. Visit the Military Center next door as well.

We enjoyed our visit very much. It's a very educational tour. We were there for a living history event related to harvest time.

A beautiful collection of original early American structures, complemented by period appropriate gardens and plants. A valuable gateway to the Guilford Battleground Park.

This is NOT Tannenbaum Historic Park anymore. It is now the Colonial Heritage Center which is part of the Gilford Courthouse National Military Park but Google keeps refusing to update the name.
