This bakery is a hidden gem, one of the best I’ve been to in a very long time. It’s located in a converted house across from the Greensboro Science Center and open only on Wednesdays and Saturdays. We meant to stop by a few weeks ago, but the line was out the door on a Saturday morning. Popular spot, and for good reason! We decided to show up Wednesday morning when it wasn’t as busy. Little did we know that we would have waited ten times as long had we known how great this place is.

What an amazing variety of both sweet and savory items, in addition to their large selection of breads. It was hard to choose for our first time. We seriously wanted to try everything since it looked so good!

My wife and I shared a cream cheese filled cruffin, jalapeño and cheese quiche, and a pesto prosciutto pastry. We were in heaven. Can’t emphasize enough how fresh everything tasted. We wanted more, and ended up bringing home 2 loaves of bread, a sourdough loaf and a Parisian baguette. Later that same day we ended up eating most of the bread, adults and kids included.

Don’t miss out on this one. If you have numerous bakeries in your area and think this one is too far, believe me it’s worth the drive!

You wouldn’t know this bakery exists unless you turn up the street behind the gas station.

The hours show they’re only open twice a week. Line in the morning was very very long but after coming back in the afternoon there was no line.

Caramel cheesecake, croissants and morning bun was great. Some of the other items we got were just okay like the red velvet desert which was a bit dry.

The croissants were probably the best in NC and a second runner up to those at Tartine in San Francisco.

No ice cream during the winter. Nice picnic tables outside to sit at during a summer day.

Friendly service from the young lady who helped with our order.

This is a jewel of a bakery, boulangerie and patisserie, and Augustino also provides brunch staples such as delicious Quiches and Boerek.
Open only 2 days a week and rather late ( 10 am), the faithful are lining up at the door for the goodies. No indoor seating, only outside picnic tables are provided.
Crowded parking lot.

This place is a true hidden gem. There was a line out the front door when we arrived, 20 minutes before they opened. Absolutely delicious pastries!

I can't emphasize enough how much I recommend this place to everyone. They are true experts in their craft, and the bakery consistently delivers on taste. With countless options to choose from, you can't go wrong. I usually pick up a couple of my favorites and then try a few other items. One standout for me is the Cream Cheese Cruffin (sp?) – so definitely try that one. My only issue is that their "iced coffee" is actually an iced Americano, which for me I won’t order if I know I’m getting that instead of a coffee. Apart from that, this place definitely deserves a 5-star rating! Highly recommend

The absolute best bread and croissant bakery in NC!! Their pies and cakes are just the right amount of sweet. They use quality ingredients and the flavors and textures of their breads and pastries are like what you would find in europe. Love love love this place. Would love to see a meat and cheese quiche on the menu one day!

An amazing 🇫🇷 European-style bakery located off New Garden Rd. Don't blink or you will miss it. They are only open on Wednesday and Saturday but what they lack in operating hours, they make up for in amazing baked goods, 🍞 breads, 🥧 pies, 🥐 croissants, buns, shortbread, 🍪 cookies, and more. They also have quiche, ☕ coffee, and more. They also have ♿ handicap accessible parking and a ramp did get you into the building.

Wonderful taste of Europe in the heart of the Triad. Three days for goods to prep, only open two baking days a week, and filled with craftsmanship and joy. A BP station never had a better neighbor.

Being new to the area I've been getting a lot of recommendations on places to try. This place did not disappoint. Their cheesecake has got to be the best I've ever had. It's such a great spot and been told to get there early for the best selection.

Augustin Gusto is a special spot. Tucked away off the main road, this European style bakery has incredible quality goods in a small, to-go style atmosphere. It's slightly pricier than an average bakery, but it's worth it. Not to mention they have the best sourdough I've ever tasted. I wish they were open more than two days a week but c'est la vie!

OMGOSH! I'm so mad at Augstino Gusto Bakery. 😡😡😡
The food was so beautiful and inviting that I was helpless, and I HAD to buy WAY MORE than I needed, AND they just let me do it! DO NOT BE FOOLED by their extremely pleasant and delightful personalities - they don't care if you get wreckless with your money in their shop.
Then, if that wasn't enough, my tastebuds were so overwhelmed that I lost control and ate almost all of it in one sitting.
The biggest offense Is that they actually thought it was a "good idea" to put their shop so far away from my home here in High Point. Don't they know that my carbon footprint is going to expand because of the extra driving that I am now compelled to do?
The nerve!

Incredible pastries. I moved here from Boston and it rivals the best bakery I could have ever found there! I highly recommend almost everything I’ve tried. I only hope they stay open, as their hours seem to change which makes me a bit nervous!

European-style bakery with the BEST of everything! Gelato is AMAZING! And I am working my way though all of the pasties - both sweet ad savory. Seriously, you can't go wrong with any of their delicious options on any given day. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a treat! ;-)

Fantastic bakery. Many selections of different items. Not for the gluten or vegan eater. Only open 2 days a week and while it is pricey, the portions are definitely worth it.

It's been a while since I've written a review, nothing has stood out to me for sometime... I saw this spot while driving home one day... I never knew what it was... At first I thought it was a salon.. then after a few more times of seeing it... I saw the ice cream cone, and I was like well that's fun.... Then my mom asked if I wanted to get ice cream one day and I was like actually we could go try Augustino Gusto, I think they have ice cream but based on the name I believe it's gelato. We look online and I see the website, the Google page, and so on and I'm pretty sad that it wasn't opened but I looked forward to Saturday to stop in and see what wed find... So the lead up to our visit for me was very climatic...

It's a bit rainy when we are on our way over... And we get a parking spot out front.. people are pouring in from all directions in or out of the bakery in a rather organized fashion, those coming out raving about the bakery those going in discussing what they are interested in trying.. aside from the time it may take you to decide on something ...because everything looks delicious, it's a rather quick interaction.. the employees have a good system going that seems to keep traffic flowing. The bakery is clean, and orderly as well.

I was worried I'd built myself up for this visit but all the excitement was worth the feels.. I'm left speechless from the delicious pastries and quiches we tried. I sincerely look forward to visiting another day and trying more.
