We brought our VW Cabrio to get a new top put on with some knowledge about types of cloth but none of what tops fits etc. Initially, when we spoke with Steve he used a Robbins book to make a recommendation of which we should order. He also gave us a price to do it which that part was better than anyone we’d spoke with and know we know why. After a few times contacting him and getting things aligned to do the job, he went up on price two times in which I figured we’d address and come to an agreement when we dropped it off. A couple red flags potentially we knew but trying to give small businesses our business and support locally. After we dropped it off, he called to tell us we didn’t have the correct top in which we asked twice for confirmation of which before we ordered. He has no internet, knowledge or the capability of providing clients with detailed correct products for the customer to order. When we asked why the top we ordered didn’t fit he exclaimed “How am I supposed to know I’d just have to show you “ sorry sir this is why we came to you a business specializing and tops and upholstery. His quality may be great I don’t know but his lack of knowledge and different quotes gets a 1 star and would be less if the ratings could go lower.
