Viognier is Ah-maaa-zing. Double gold winner in NC! I'm not a huge steel chardonnay fan, but theirs is fantastic! All their wines are wonderful. Sweet wine drinkers can even enjoy perfect Niagara grape wines. Amazing family run place. You will definitely feel like you're at home!

Enjoyed several 5 star wines and picturesque scenery of the vineyards.
Tasting room is very comfortable, hostess also very friendly and helpful. Nice selection of wines to choose from and we didn’t even make it to the reserves, which we will be back for!

This winery and vineyard is absolutely beautiful. I stopped in here with a group of friends and we could’ve hung out all night if they let us. The wine was delicious. They had a great selection. The owners were extremely friendly. They had some assorted cheeses and crackers to pair with the wine. I’d highly recommend this winery to anyone anytime!

This is an amazing vineyard with fantastic wine! The service was phenomenal and the view over looking the wine grove was insanely beautiful. All the wines we tasted were delicious and the outside patio was perfect. If you are looking for a great experience I would highly recommend stopping here for some wine and patio time. 👌👌👌

Wow, this place is beautiful!

The wines are only rivaled by the scenery.

Highly recommended both for the RV crowd and / or wine enthusiast.

Easy to get to even in our 45 foot RV. Entry road is paved and easily accessed. Parking is mostly level.

As a vendor's perspective, this vineyard is a beautiful place. The owners are fabulous to work with. Such an amazing friendly family atmosphere. Not to mention the view here is phenomenal. Their wine selections are wide, and great. Their in house sangria is delicious and highly recommended. This venue as a whole is definitely recommended!

I love Stony Knoll Vinyards! Quiet laid-back venue with really nice people. We really appreciate Jonah, he's became a great friend. Always takes the time to make you feel welcomed. Great wine, reasonable prices. It's a must stop every time we are visiting the area,

Jonah and Holly were incredible hosts. We enjoyed the wine, the company and the spectacular day and views.

All of their wines have been exceptional. Tonight we drank our last bottle of Master Exquisite Black Oak Stick, 2015. Cannot tell you how great it was. We will have to visit again soon and see what we can find to compare.

So grateful there was no music. The wine taste was not to my liking and I was a little frustrated they just pour the wine and send you off... HOWEVER. That was exactly what I needed. The peace and quite was glorious . I would have never thought that's what I needed. If you're a busy entrepreneur or worker- come here and your world will change. Other wineries close by have music and it actually ruins the vibes of the northern NC vibe. Thank you for keeping things raw and vast

We had an excellent wine tasting experience with Patricia (daughter of owners). Fortunately, we were able to cancel our hotel reservations for 2 nights and stay in the cabin that the winery has for rent, along with a free bottle of wine of our choice. It was wonderful........cozy and clean with all the charm of the area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Quite comfortable for two couples. It was conveniently located as we spent two days touring the local wineries and area attractions. What a great experience for two retired Marines and their wives as we celebrated the Marine Corps birthday and Veterans Day with this "getaway". We recommend Stony Knoll Vineyards for an enjoyable time!

Visited yesterday. Served by Van who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The facility , patio and grounds are very nice with a great view. I liked several dry wines but really liked the red table wine and ardella sweet wines. He has a special deal now on 2 bottles of cabernet sauvignon with 2 packs of mulling spice for $27, a $23 discount. Good deal!
The property is easy to find from route 268, but I came via scenic back roads off of route 67. Either way is scenic.
However, GPS told me I had arrived, but I was at a private white house. The entrance to the winery was actually a few hundred yards further west on the left.
Update 01/22/22: Revisited winery. They practice good social distancing. When you enter, they have a table with a list of their wines on sheets of paper. You select the wines you want to try and give the sheet to an employee then seat yourself in a comfortable place. They make a flight of the wines you selected and bring it to your table in a mini muffin tin with your selections numbered so you know what you're drinking. They still have a nice selection of wines.

If you're looking for a quiet place with a decent view, this is it! Many other venues have small or very noisy tasting rooms, so when weather isn't good, they're unpleasant to go to when they get crowded.

Only a 60 minute drive up I-77 from our neighborhood off of West W.T. Harris Blvd. Our fantastic neighbor Nicole made arrangements for our party of 22 neighbors. We were greeted with table-clothed and decorated tables and refreshing ice waters so we could relax while wine tasting. Sure beats a typically crowded winery bar. The congenial and enthusiastic owner was quite knowledgeable of the many wine varieties and subtle flavors. Happily departed with several bottles. You folks have to start packaging and selling your outrageously delicious tropical sangria. Would love to have a Solo cupful or two while watching the Carolina Panthers. Many local wineries within 15 minutes. Thanks for a delicious experience! Much success on future harvests and vintages! Can you mail me a gallon jug of that sangria?!
