Although it was a small job, I was treated with respect, the job was done promptly and professionally, and you can't even tell a tree went through my brand new roof. OMGosh!!! I am so glad I called Van De Steeg! My neighbor had used them and said not to use anyone but them!! I did call them, but had to call for 2 more estimates for my insurance. After the other companies came out to my house, I can see why he told me to only use Van De Steeg. The difference between Van De Steeg and the two others was night and day. Mike was professional, helpful, respectful and did not talk down to me! He was very knowlegable. He answered all my questions and was very kind! The process was easy for me to work with them. They took great care to protect my plants and yard, they had the job done in one day and everything cleaned up and it is so beautiful! And i have a 25 year leak free guarantee! I love Van De Steeg and would recommend them highly.

Hail Storm April 28, 2021 and October 10, 2021

Wow! 2021: The year of epic hail storms here in Norman. April 28th 2021 was bad enough. 5 minutes of golf ball size hail came in from the northwest. It’s amazing how much can get destroyed in 5 minutes. Thank goodness for Van De Steeg. I called on April 29th to begin repairs. My roof, gutters and back screen door were done by early June. My gables were repainted in July. The north side metal fascia was completed in August and custom storm windows put up in September. Everything was completed. Very happy with Van De Steeg. All was good…….Then…....B A M!!! October 10, 2021!!! Another epic golf ball to softball size hail storm. Well……..Here we go AGAIN!!! It lasted 10 minutes this time and came from the north. Again, Van De Steeg to the rescue. Van De Steeg got right to work on replacing my roof and gutters in November. Replaced two north side screen doors, repainted north side gable and repaired the air conditioning unit vents, top cap and wire all done in January 2022. The north side metal fascia repair was completed in March 2022. All done and very pleased with Van De Steeg. It’s been a quiet 2022 so far. I know who to contact for any hail or storm damage repairs. Van De Steeg gets it done.

We used Van De Steeg several years ago to replace our roof after the hail storm of 2012. The storm damage was so widespread at the time every roofing company in the city was scraping together crews to meet the demand to replace destroyed roofs. While the roof replacement got a C- at the time due to a few sub-standard installation issues, Van De Steeg returned without hesitation to make everything right - no matter how large or small the issue. In addition, Van De Steeg later repaired our gutters that were installed by another outfit. The gutters were installed too high creating space where water trickled down between the gutter and the house causing damage to paint and wood. Van De Steeg lowered the gutters, added some flashing where necessary, a couple downspouts, fixed a sagging gutter and stopped the water leakage. As the saying goes its not how you start but how you finish and Van De Steeg finishes strong and has my recommendation.

I had an unfortunate run in with a less than honest roofing company. They were going door to door (hint: good roofers don't do this), and they tried to convince me that I had enough damage to get insurance to replace it. Then, when I thought they were calling my insurance to help me set up an inspection, I later came to understand they were actually filing a claim on my policy. My mistake for not doing research beforehand. My alarm bells started going off in my head during this peocess, and I reached out to Mike on the advice of someone who had worked with him recently. He came out the next day, inspected my roof, and told me honestly that although there is some wear and tear, my roof is not totalled and needing to be replaced right now. He could have told me it needed to be done, taken advantage, and gotten money out of a situation, but he did not. He was honest and forthright, professional. I will definitely call him in the future with roofing needs.

This company was recomended to me and I can see why. They did a beautiful job on my home and i think the boys name was Jason. He was the sweetest boy and very helpful. He came back and checked on me because i had a problem from a tree trimmer that was there working when he came the first time to look at my roof. He called me to check on me later that day and when i did not answer my phone he drove back over to check on me. He is a good boy. My roof is beautiful and he made sure my shrubs and garden and flowers were protected. Everyone was very kind and respectful they are just good people.

Van De Steeg put our roof on after a major hail storm. They arrived on the promised date and had a large crew that finished the entire roof in two days including gutters. Their clean up was amazing using special equipment to find every errant nail in the lawn, gardens and driveway. They followed through with all the subcontract work to ensure it was all completed correctly.

This company got me a new roof and guttering system two years back. Completely outstanding in every conceivable way. They found and fixed issues I didn't know existed. What's best is that they do business the right way, very above board. Do not get caught using some fly by night out of state company. They were EXTREMELY patient getting paid due to Wells Fargo being very difficult to deal with. Great company.

I was highly impressed with this company. The owner came out himself to make sure everything was going well. Every part of the process was professional and went smoothly. He got us scheduled quickly and was able to get the roof on in one day. I would use them again!

They pay on time

Came out to do an estimate (that he was late for)and never heard from them again!!! What gets me is that I told Robbie that I had trouble with people not giving me estimates and he said "That's weird. Well don't worry. I promise I'll give you an estimate". Here we are 3 or 4 weeks later! I can understand a few days, but almost a month?
Not sure what kind of man looks you dead in you eyes and lies to your face, then doesn't return calls or text over something petty as an estimate. Would not trust them to work in my home. Goes to show how they would conduct work if hired. Very unprofessional!!!

A project I was quoted 2-3 weeks on took basically 9 months! Communication was great right in the beginning after that... nothing... I had to do all the contacting to figure out what was going on....
