Great food and very fast service. Everyone at our table raved about how good the food was. We went to Cancun Mexican grill a block down last year, and this food and service was way better.

I ordered the molcajete guanajuato and It blew my mind!!! Real savory and full of juices! Not to mention that the staff were akin to like your own personal waiter, it's like they read my mind! Totally awesome and I would recommend anyone to stop on by if you're ever in the area. (Also the town is gorgeous!)

This place is amazing you have to try it if you are ever out near the salt plains or Alva Oklahoma. We stopped here at the recommendation of a friend and they were right good food and prices

Stopped by for lunch and shade on a cycling tour in summer. As soon as I came in I was seated with the traditional jar of salsa, corn chips and a sauce plate. Iced water came shortly after I asked. Hugo gave me a couple of minutes to look through the menu and make a decision. He was very attentive and noticed as soon as I put down menu for ordering.

The chimichanga I ordered was delicious, only thing I'd complain about is the guacamole. However much there is in any dish is never enough, in my opinion.
Flan was nothing spectacular. Still delicious. Should've gone for fried ice cream tho.

Location is very accessible right off the highway and windows are tinted for sunlight control. They had traditional northwestern Mexico music playing at a reasonable volume. Make sure you get some candy at the register, they're worth it!

Overall: good portions, fair price, nice atmosphere, timely service.

Great place to have dinner. Waitress was great and know when to be attentive, but not intrusive. I had a steak and shrimp, it was really good.

Gotta say food is delicious the Margarita was tasty n you could tell it has alcohol.

First time to eat here, and the food was great! Our waitress Callie was on top of it And she was funny! Our order was exactly the way we ordered. I had vegetarian fajitas with no cheese or sour cream (intolerant) & someone else got the extra cheese they wanted. This definitely is the place to stop if I'm ever back in Alva.

El Maya has been our local favorite for several years now. We haven't disliked anything we have ever ordered!
The servers are always kind and attentive, and we never have to wait long for service or for our food to be ready.

Great atmosphere. The servers are very personable. Order accuracy is awesome. Food is prepared quickly. Priced comparable to my favorite Mexican restaurants in Denver. Taste is spot on. Will continue to visit.

One of the best Mexican food restaurants in Alva. I *love* their cheesesteak burrito, as well as their chips and salsa. My family loves to come here on Sunday afternoon, or in a week night as a special "going out" occasion - we've never been disappointed. The service here is also very good. The waiters and waitresses listen closely and are prompt most of the time. Even though it's not the best/most authentic Mexican food I've ever had, it's definitely worth the visit.

Food was hot and quick with large servings. The price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly. Will definitely eat here again.

We were driving through the town, and saw this packed little restaurant. We thought we'd check it out. We were seated instantly, and our food came out just as quick. It was all authentic and well-prepared; the service was also fantastic and friendly. I recommend carne asada and the pollo chorizo!
