Hagy's Catfish Hotel Restaurant

Amazing service, had gotten the hotel combo, the ribs that fell off the bone clean, was juicy but had a crispy outter layer. Catfish was delicious too with the hash puppies. Strawberry salad was really tasty especially with the goat cheese. Definitely coming back and trying the lemon rub pie.

Rustic. Experienced. Seasoned. You will feel extremely comfortable dining here. With many years of know-how in preparing great southern food, Hagy's is equally well-prepared to serve customers. A great site with great views & lots of friendly people! Oh...and hush puppies...even if you are only having pie & coffee, try the hush puppies. 5 stars all around.

We go here every year. It's a great place just wish they would do all you can eat again.

We had dinner at Hagy's for my 65th birthday. This was not our first visit nor will it be our last. The food and atmosphere is absolutely delightful. I had the seafood combo platter with clam strips and fried frog legs with a blue cheese tossed salad. If you've never had frog legs you should try them. They're delicious and they taste kind of like chicken. The batter dipped onion rings and hush puppies were the best I've had. Special mention to the brewed sweet tea with free refills. Wife got fried catfish and steamed veggies with a side of their signature cole slaw. Their cole slaw is slightly sweet and very good and I'm not a big cole slaw fan as a rule. Son had a catfish sandwich with fries and my in-laws had catfish and a sweet potato. We had no room for desert and brought home leftovers to enjoy the next day. I don't think they allow you to leave hungry. This place is way out of the way nestled in the Shiloh battlefield down a long lonely access road next to the Tennessee river. It's living proof that, if you build it, they will come. Prices are reasonable too for a restaurant of this caliber. Service was also attentive, fast and friendly. Come give it a try when you're in south western Tennessee. They do get very busy sometimes so be prepared to wait.

Suggestion: The clam strips were great but nothing beats hand shucked, whole belly fried clams. Maybe it's not a southern thing. I'm from Connecticut. Also, fried okra would make a nice addition. My wife loves okra!

Best place for catfish around! We were surprised how much food we got for the price. Pictured is Cajun grilled and breaded catfish. Reccomend to get them bone in for more flavor. Very moist meat. The fries and hushpuppies are the best sides.

So many delicious options! Portions were generous. The onion rings & hush puppies were fabulous. Desserts were so tempting we each took one to go. My quick bite of the caramel pie was out of this world. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. Our waitress was charming, friendly & attentive. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. One room has bookshelves and the other room had a roaring fire in a huge fireplace.

The Catfish Hotel Restaurant has been a part of my life since I was about 8 years old so the restaurant is like family! The food and service is always great and we never meet a stranger! Everyone is family even those we just meet! Drop in sometime for a delicious meal - you won’t be disappointed!! 💞

Amazing experience at Hagy’s! The catfish was huge and very tasty. The fried shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the hushpuppies were great! Some of the best seafood we’ve had! Our server was very sweet, and the view from the table and outside the restaurant was beautiful. We also brought home a slice of lemon rub pie and banana cream pie. Those were delicious too!

Interesting out of the way fish house on the Tennessee River. Right next to Shiloh Nat'l Military Park. Worth the drive. We drive from Memphis area to meet family.

I got the ribs and catfish fillet plate. The ribs were better than the catfish but both were very good. I wish there were more tables near the windows where you can see the water. The price was decent for how much food I got.

Also, my mom was in a wheelchair and the people were accommodating inside. It was a little tight for her inside but that’s just about everywhere nowadays. Parking was very easy for us.

Great southern food, really nice people, great view of the river...definitely worth a stop or two or three. Family friendly. Great portions. Clean spaces.

Awesome experience. The caramel pie is the best pie I've ever eaten!!!! Must try the caramel pie! The Cajun catfish was very delicious. Great atmosphere and view of the river. We will definitely go back.

I highly recommend this place, friendly service, great sweet tea, catfish, shrimp, and stuffed crab was tasty and the homemade salad dressing too. I even enjoyed the blooming onion. Took pie to go but I just know it's going to be good. No complaints at all.

I just love southern people and their food! I wish I had gotten the servers name for honorable mention because she was very nice and genuine.

We called mid week to make reservations for 11, and told at our 3:00 time, it wouldn't be necessary! But when we arrived at 3:00, were told we'd be seated when all had arrived. 2 due to car trouble, were running late. the rest of us were seated anyway before they arrived. Others were having desserts as the the 2 were eating! As one was having his dessert, he was getting an evil eye from; I guess the manager; who was rude from the beginning! We talked about repeating this monthly, since it's half way between Florence and Huntingdon.

Love Hagy's fish and hush puppies! We drive over from near Nashville and eat there when we need some good fried catfish.

If you're in Shiloh, Catfish Hotel is a must! Though, if you go on Saturday evening, be prepared to wait. We showed up at 5 with a party of three this past Saturday and weren't seated until 6:30. Also, the service was a little slower than I remembered it being. In total, we were at the restaurant for nearly 3 hours. I think this may have been an extreme though because it was the Saturday of Father's Day weekend... But their catfish filets are MASSIVE and delicious so it's worth it! Also, I could make a meal out of their coleslaw. I love how they bring you a bowl of the cabbage mixture and a cup of coleslaw dressing, so you can make it as soupy/dry as you please. Also, the new renovation with the expanded indoor waiting area and the giant porch outside is clutch!

This is our first visit. The setting is very rustic. The food is very good.

We arrive about 10:55 just before advertised opening. We were seated then the server took our drink order.

A few minutes later she took our food order. I noticed other servers took the orders then brought out salad's immediately.

After 35 minutes I noticed that people that arrived twenty minutes after us were half way through their lunch. We had not revived our salads yet.

I found another server who was shocked. She brought our order. A few minutes later our server finally brought out the salads. Better late than never.

The moral of the story is that it tasted better because of the anticipation. And I did mentioned the food was really good?

Everyone says this is the best catfish in this part of Tennessee. They were right. You can filets with or without bones. My wife got no bones in the filets. I got the chicken liver dinner and it was great. Hush puppies and homemade dressing was the best. We are back to try the other meals.

My family stopped here for lunch on Labor Day. It was pretty busy but we were seated within 5 minutes. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and she was able to answer several questions about different dishes on the menu while giving her honest opinion, which was much appreciated. I had 2 appetizers as my meal; the fried green tomatoes and the mini fish tacos. My family had stuffed shrimp and salmon. Everything was wonderful! Food came out pretty quickly. It was so so good! We will definitely be coming back!
