TLC Plumbing, HVAC & Electrical

I had no idea that TLC did remodeling until a friend (Interior Designer) referred me to them. They were Fantastic! Everyone came to our home just as they said they would. From Kyle, who did the estimate, to each worker, everyone came within the time frame given and they worked diligently every minute they were here.
I wanted the countertops replaced in my kitchen. TLC took the time to come, look at my current kitchen, listen to what I wanted and then do the job which included reconstructing the island. Ramon was the lead and I couldn’t be more please with his professionalism. He communicated with me to be sure he understood what I wanted and if a question came up, he asked instead of just doing what he ‘thought’ I might want.
One of the cabinets had to be reconfigured and rather than doing a less than professional job of that, he took it to their shop so the right tools(saw) could be used.
They cleaned before they left everyday they were here. They used canvas tarps on the floor so it was not damaged and used Vacuums to clean the dust and scraps. They hauled away all trash daily leaving my kitchen in the best possible place it could be.
We have used TLC for plumbing in the past and I will definitely use them again for remodeling!

We had to rush to buy this house in Sept 2023 (because the buyer of our old house wanted in a lot faster than expected) and were left with a plumbing nightmare. (Before photos included).

We originally called them about a leaky pipe, but we had a whole bunch of other concerns. We got no hot water to the kitchen faucet unless we waited forever and wasted water down the drain. Then the city of Rio Rancho started charging us a sewer charge for wasting water. They watch drainage in the winter to determine how much to charge you all year long, so this was really critical to getting that part fixed ASAP. We always try to be environmentally responsible, but that was the only way to get hot water to the faucet and the dishwasher.

We had a horrible, leaking pipe on the top of our hot water heater that would've ended in disaster pretty quickly. I hadn't even noticed THAT leak! (Fred was fantastic at explaining what could happen very soon). There was also a leaking pipe coming out of the wall from the water source. We also had a hot water heater that had been installed in 2012 and had to be turned all the way up to the C setting just to get the kind of hot water we needed. The hot water was never really "hot" from the time we moved in.

It was obvious the move a previous home owner took to remove the water softening system had caused calcification to build up really bad inside of the pipes, fixtures, appliances, etc. What an absolute nightmare scenario just waiting to happen. I was terrified we would have a blow out of pipes under our house.

Fred treated me with the greatest respect and never once acted annoyed about my thousands of questions. He and Ivan told me every single thing about the system that we needed to know. I've never had such a great experience with a plumbing company. I am a woman veteran and have been talked down to in the past and ignored by other plumbers. (I fixed electronics on airplanes so I have a brain).

When Ivan arrived a little while later to help Fred with the new hot water heater, he was also very patient and polite while answering all my questions.

A young woman named Olivia arrived very shortly after to explain the water softening system and was very thorough and answered every single question I had.

They worked so hard to get everything fixed. Never saw them slack off ever.

They completely rebuilt our pipes in the hot water heater closet, (*see photos*) put in an on-demand water heater and an amazing, water softening system. Even the guy from the gas company was impressed with the job they did. Our water heater closet had drywall for walls, and had obviously suffered a lot of leaks. They installed new plywood and covered the new pipes with insulation. Fred and Ivan and Olivia (water softening rep) were all fantastic.

The softening system only regenerates after use, so if you're on vacation you never had to worry about it using up water while you're gone. (I used to have a water softening system when I lived here in 2014, and it sounded like someone was grinding glass every single night in the middle of the night, whether you had used the water or not. Freaked me out the first time I heard it). The water softener allows me to use potassium pellets because I can't use the ones with salt, and it doesn't use electricity.

Thank you! We sleep well at night and take hot showers and baths without freaking out about what is going to break. The kitchen faucet and dishwasher also now get instant hot water.

I've had an on-demand hot water heater before, but this one is incredible. It doesn't need a water recirculator for a larger house because the water heater has its own.

Note: Another plumber we spoke to told us we needed a water recirculator that was going to cost a lot more.

Best plumbers I've ever met in my 64 years on earth with the eight houses owned in the past and the best investment in a house we've made.

I can't wait to see how low our gas and water bills will be now. Yay!

P.S. They also called and took care of the rebates we would get through the new government rebate program. Bonus!

Ramon and his team did a beautiful job on my parent’s kitchen, living room, and bathroom. Aside from his excellent craftsmanship, his customer service was even more phenomenal! Thank you TLC Remodel.

We needed a how water replaced due to leak. Mark Coxwell, the sales tech. Came out and provided prompt assessment and options for replacement. Price seemed a bit high but all the technical expertise and vast experience comes with it. No hassle and exceptional service is well worth it. Mark came out on Monday, 03/04/24, and installation was scheduled for the next day. Ivan, the installer and his crew arrived on time and installation with needed upgrades took place.. We couldn't be happier. You can't go wrong selecting TLC.

Made a call to TLC requesting help with installing a new kitchen faucet and shower head. Mary, the service technician, showed up and was so knowledgeable and professional making suggestions on the many options and brands available.

After purchasing the new faucet and shower head, I contacted TLC to request Mary's help with the installation. She was at my home within an hour replacing the existing equipment with the much newer and improved parts.

It was a delight to meet a company representative with a very strong customer focus willing to share her knowledge, who helped me understand the installation process and answered all my questions.

We have used TLC for nearly a decade and they have done everything well from installation of electrical equipment, to hot water heaters, to annual maintenance. This last service by Chase Waite was fantastic. He explained everything well about our water filtration system and did the service as explained. He also gave us some tips on how we can ensure everything works properly.

Today Caleb and Jeremiah did a small remodel job for me in one of my old bathrooms. Their work is beautiful - attention to all the details — From the installation of the sink cabinet to replacing the tile they had to uproot for the job. Cleanup was amazing! Bathroom was cleaner when they left. And they used drop cloths to protect my wooden floors. Bravo.
But the most important, in a way, for me was their respectful behavior, their patience with my questions, their diligence, and their honesty. All very important to me.
In addition, they were really smart guys; there were several problems that they figured out and/or checked on right away — Good problem solving.
From start to finish, these guys were wonderful and bravo for TLC for having exceptional young men in your remodel division. Thanks also to Sam for working with me and sending these two.

What a good experience! Chase called before he came and with a few questions asked he knew just what was wrong and brought the appropriate 'stuff' to fix it - which he did quickly and efficiently. So nice :). He explained everything and was on his way in about 20 minutes. Thank you TLC for training your employees and thank you Chase for having such a good work ethic - not always seen these days.

Zion was great very helpful and knowledgeable in what he does. Thank you for keeping me up-to-date as the job got done, I would definitely recommend him for the job.

Alfredo Zarate just left my home. He works for TLC. My furnace went out, and he took care of it efficiently and rapidly. He also fixed the lock on my front door, brought in my packages, and did everything with a smile on his face, and in the most gracious way possible. This might not sound like much, but for a single Female in a wheelchair, this was incredibly helpful and so needed. He truly went above and beyond….. Always with a smile and a beautiful attitude. Would you believe that before he left, he asked if he could do anything else for me? I’m sorry my furnace went out, but I feel so grateful and blessed that this young man came to the rescue.

I really appreciated the service and immediate communication to any and all questions I had. All my faucets and garbage disposal installed and working nice. When I was missing a part for installation, they were able to come back the next day and complete the project.

Sam Garcia came out to help us with a more complex plumbing issue. He was kind, courteous, and very knowledgeable about the issue we were facing. At one point, we had to wait until the water went down in the toilet before he could move forward. He told me how long it would take, and when he would return. Not only was he 100% right, but he showed back up at the exact time, and did an excellent job to resolve the issue. I would highly recommend TLC and give Sam Garcia an A++ on his excellent communication and customer service. Thank you!

I’ve been using TLC since early 2018 for various needs around my house. Toni B was hands-down the best employee I’ve encountered. He’s honest, accommodating and very competent. Toni taught/educated me on best way to use the garbage disposal and was extremely professional. Toni is A+++!!!

Moved here two years ago, and finally heard about this company, after dealing with several others for lots of things. What I heard from others was "We don't do that," "You need to replace the whole thing," "We charge travel time," "find a handyman to fix that" (after they cut a hole in the wall, removed the security bars, etc. ) I've heard it all.

Since I found TLC, what I have heard was "yes, we can do that" to my utter delight. (The only thing they do not do is stucco and garage doors.) One of my favorites, Kyle, said "I'm not here to sell you anything. I'm here to find out what you need & make it happen, at the least possible cost." WOW! The other thing I have heard is "It's working fine, you don't need to replace it." Wow, what an incredible change. I have also experienced the most respectful, well-mannered, knowledgeable, and careful people when I have been ordering service.

I have had a changeover to heat, ducts cleaned, furnace inspected, and kitchen estimate & planning services so far with TLC. I have been happy and was extremely impressed with the following people, in their personality, can-do attitude, respectfulness & manners, and helpfulness: Kyle, Dominick, Levi & Brandon.

Xander and Lawrence came out to clean my dryer vents today. After inspecting them, they told me that they did not need cleaned, and advised me that the problem could be with my dryers. I really appreciated their honesty and friendly demeanor. Thanks, TLC.

I’ve been a customer of TLC since 2020 when we connected to a community well for our water and needed a water softener system. Most recently, we had a foundation leak and decided to repipe the entire house versus patching up one area at a time. This was a massive project but Antonio Lujan and his crew came in and got it done with impeccable speed and efficiency. I was anxious about spending so much money but they put me at ease with their knowledge and respect for our home. I know without a doubt that this was a great investment and the work is going to last.
Each day they arrived, worked tirelessly and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. When it was all done they even came and cleaned up so I didn’t have to!
This is the third time we’ve called Antonio to help us and each encounter has been over the top with excellent care and communication. I will forever recommend TLC for any home needs even though they are two hours away and I need to pay for mileage. The value we receive is always worth it!

We recently had some issues with our relatively new heater (installed in 2018) by a different company. This other company struggled and took two months to get it operational in the middle of winter. So we switched to TLC and have no regrets. We have a 98% high efficiency Bryant heater. A couple of months ago, the heater just quit working. We called TLC out to diagnose and fix the issue. They came out immediately and discovered the "Inducer assembly" had failed. They had not seen this before. They ordered a new one and were able to warranty the parts but not the labor. They got that up and running but we noticed the thermostat would reboot on its own several times a day-while the heater still ran--didn't use to do that. We were fortunate to have Cody, Levi and Tristan throughout the ordeal. They provided their cards and we were able to contact them directly for follow-on. with multiple calls and trials, and them calling Bryant, they were able to fix it. The original installers from a different company, never checked the final settings that were installed. We discussed at length with TLC personnel mentioned and they listened carefully. They went up this last week and checked the gas pressure --which had been set at twice as to what was needed--for high altitude. They dialed it down slowly as required and now things run great! These guys were absolutely awesome! They were kind, thoughtful, respectful, professional, and listened thoughtfully. So glad, we got this team and their responsiveness to our problems! GREAT JOB!! Highly recommend TLC Plumbing!! They are a business with humanity and I am so grateful to have been treated with consideration and compassion and my plumbing issues resolved quickly. After over 4 weeks without running water (due to delays with home warranty), TLC truly saved the day and got my plumbing fixed right away! Our Tech, Enrique, did an awesome job!!! He was prompt, he listened to what had happened with our breaker box and power outage, trouble shot and told us is what 3 problems it could be and where we could start. He solved our outage issue and was very kind, friendly, have us great customer service and advice. We will continue with TLC for our needs and recommend them to our friends and family. Thank you!!!
