Watkins cafe

Had a hamburger and fries. The burger was fresh and delicious. House made ranch was good. Coffee was drinkable, just regular diner coffee. Serves breakfast all day but biscuits are made daily and might run out. One server for the whole restaurant so service may be slow

I stumbled upon this cafe a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it! All their food is great and I love their veggie scrambler! The service is awesome and I feel like I’m apart of the family! I enjoy seeing all the locals here! Try it! You won’t be disappointed!

I hate to say it but I’m pretty much a snob when it comes to the way my fried eggs are cooked.
The cook(s) here have always done my eggs perfectly, every time. (My eggs have always hot and the yellow is bursting out when I cut into them!)
Bacon, Sausage, biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, hash browns, breakfast burritos, ALL GREAT!

My husband and I have lived less than 10 minutes away from this wonderful place and today we were finally able to visit. So very glad we did! We loved the environment, food was awesome and our waitress was fantastic! Needless to say, this will be our go to place from now on.

The service is always good.. had an amazing country Cafe feel.. quick breakfast.. cooks sometimes don't know the difference between over-easy and over- medium eggs but the food is good

Every once in a while I’ll stay the weekend with my parents. I get absolutely thrilled when I wake up in the morning and they say we’re going here for breakfast. Food is wonderful, friendly staff, very clean tables.

This is a cute little (tiny) local breakfast and lunch Cafe with a casual atmosphere.
Service is friendly and accurate. Food is cafe typical, but always good.

Very nice and enjoyable. Not busy on a Sunday. Good find. Everything was good. Side note: I would prefer real butter on the toast not liquid popcorn butter. I thought that was unusual.

We own Pow Pow Fireworks just down the road from Watkins. When it’s fireworks season, we always visit Watkins Cafe. The service is great and so is the food. Friendly people and always a joy!

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant! Service , food and atmosphere are excellent.
Would recommend the brunch burgers here. They are sooo gooood!
Also, the coffee is good too.
We love visiting them over the weekends cause we always leave with big bellys and big smile.

Staff is great. Especially the cook, he always cooks my egg’s perfectly I have never had a bad experience. It’s an amazing atmosphere, a great place to start your day.

I got the chicken fried steak, hash browns, biscuits, gravy and veggie scrambler. I brought my wife, cousin and his wife and their son. Everyone was happy and satisfied. Reasonably priced and great taste. So, I took the biscuit and put the veggie scrambler in the biscuit and poured gravy on it. Very delicious. They were out of hot chocolate but their OJ was good. Kind waitstaff accommodated a late arrival of my cousin. I will definitely recommend this place to others. It was packed which should tell you something as well.

Glad I moved to Lavon from Wylie. This place is better than Ballard Street cafe. The biscuits and gravy were larger, and actually had some pieces of sausage in it. The extra sausage patty and bacon I ordered tasted fresh and delicious. Parking looked busy but plenty of spots left on the side. Will definitely be back for more biscuits and gravy.

Wish they gave more gravy on the biscuits though. Instead of tipping 40% I should just use that money to pay for more gravy.

Great food and great customer service. I got the number 3 and everything was fantastic sausage wasn't the best flavor wise but everything was hot and fresh. Bacon and eggs cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.

Went in to try after stumbling on it wandering around. It's a nice small diner that surprises you with a clean atmosphere and great food. Tried chicken fried steak mashed potatoes beans and green beans. All were excellent
