Angela Chen, MD

Dr. Chen has taken care of my family and me for about 10 years. She listens and never rushes us and thinks about what the best care should be before prescribing anything. She is smart and respectful and we feel fortunate to have been in her care. She’s the best family doctor I’ve had since returning to Houston 16 years ago. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Chen is great! She understands my concerns, takes great notes and repeats back what I have communicated to make sure she has heard everything clearly in order to best help. She has helped me out by first suggesting affordable options for care for both a knee issue I have had as well as a skin concern. She has been very sweet, understanding and I appreciate that she has been able to fit me in for appointments last minute. I highly recommend Dr. Chen and am grateful to have found her and have her as my primary care!

Unfortunately, I have been through a fair amount of medical issues in my life – I have never been more impressed with a physician than I am with Dr. Chen. To say I'm thankful to be her patient is an understatement. She is kind, incredibly intelligent, she listens, never rushes me, provides the facts/stats, and trusts science; the safety measures that her office has taken and practiced, and is still practicing, during this COVID-19 pandemic are about as close as you can get to perfect. She and her staff work incredibly hard for all of their patients. I can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Angela Chen!

Dr. Chen has been one of the most helpful doctors I have ever experienced. I have many issues and a high sensitivity to medication and she has been able to answer all my questions and concerns. I would recommend her to anyone who needs a GP.

Doctor Chen is the best doctor I have ever had! She listens and recommends and doesn't just push meds on you. She has so much patience and always explains everything so well.

Dr.Chen is a great physician. She not only takes her time with me as a patient, she listens to each question I may have. She has great bedside manner and has been my doctor now for over 5 years. My husband of 2 years now is her patient as well as he is pleased with her as well.

I will say it straight like this: Dr. Chen is off the chain. Had a very pleasant experience upon visiting her today, she was very helpful, informative and non-judgmental. She was able to answer all of my questions and concerns with confidence and the utmost of professionalism, along with the best solutions for those. I left the visit feeling highly motivated to do better and be more conscientious of my overall wellness.What also sold it for me is that she is a physician that believes in the naturalistic approach to healthiness, that right there gets an A+ from me. Now, honestly, I cannot understand the two negative reviews posted below, I guess that you cannot please everyone. If you are looking for a physician who still has empathy, look no further than Dr. Chen.

Where is Dr Chen Practicing now? She left Memorial Hermann?

Dr Chen does not really take interest in your care. She just goes through the insurance checklist of approved services and repeats what everyone is talking about, but never asks questions related to your own situation. She then orders the standard tests and a week or 2 later, posts the results with a standard comment, repeated over and over. It’s obviously a copy and paste statement. In the end, she’s not really taking care of me. She’s just going through the motions.

Dr Angela Chen is not recommended. In my experience with her bedside manner, she is unempathic and was even at times hostile. I have never in my life given a low grade to a doctor before, but I believe other patients should be fairly warned. I have discontinued service with her as my GP as a consequence. Dr. Brad Hays, in the same office, is a much better physician so do yourself a favor and visit him as I believe he is more learned and his bedside manner is able.
