Babcock State Park Office and Gift Shop

A nice park with the grist mill in it. Did a short half mile hike to the island in the sky trail. This trail is located just acrossthe street from the enterance to the mile. Tye hike has some unique aspects to it with a couple of ladders and rock formations and beautiful flowering trees

Beautiful, peaceful park. Cabin was tucked away in the trees with the sound of the stream all night long. Lots of birds singing. Great nature escape.

Babcock is a beutiful Park and right in the main parking lot you'll find the gift shop. Knowledgeable and friendly staff in a beautiful part of the park next to the waterfalls and gristmill

Great selection of souvenirs, hours posted are close at 6 pm, when they close at 530. But let's be honest the waterfall is the real show here. One of the best views in WV so far, great spot for 4 seasons photos.

The campsites were very clean and quiet. Shower facilities were spotless and new. The location made it very convenient to visit New River Gorge NP. You’re about a few miles from a gas station and there’s a small grocery maybe 5-10 minutes away. The park is really quiet at any time of day and I enjoyed waking up to the sound of birds - what a treat :-)

One of the most beautiful parks ever! There is an old operational mill, a waterfall and a lookout too.

This is a beautiful park. The mill is very well kept and the falls are glorious. This is a very scenic Park and you must check it out for some of the best pictures of waterfalls you will ever get.

This site was so peaceful and gorgeous. You can sit for hours and just relax. If you go, walk through the Mill, it's really cool.

The road our GPS led us on to get from Babcock state park to Thurmond was treacherous! Barely wide enough for our truck to go one way! The park was beautiful 😍

Working grist mill was worth the 40 minute drive. Cabins on site can be rented. Enjoyed our time there.

Wonderful any time of year

Beautiful views. Great grounds. The grist mill is open on the weekends but is still operational! And when it is in stock, you can even buy the cornmeal from the grist mill

Must visit if you are coming to West Virginia. Amazing place with both easy to moderate and hard hikes for the family.

Liked the gift shop. Rangers in Park office very helpful with directions and pamphlets. Right near the Grist Mill. Get there early as gets busy.

Very interesting and beautiful. We had a blast walking around and taking pictures.

Beautiful fall colors. Nice walking paths. Found the small swing bridge near cabin 7 as a bonus.
