Shady Rest RV Park

We were there one night and it is a great little park with a large pet area. The owners were very nice and helpful and they maintain the park well. The road to it was steep, narrow and winding, but that's WV. We made it fine in our 34' coach with towed Jeep. There were larger vehicles than ours there. If you're looking for a park with a pool, clubhouse, etc., this is not for you. They do the basics very well, though.

Really nice place. Beautiful paved one-lane entrance road. Road is best for shorter vehicles if you’re inexperienced.

We have stayed here twice now and will definitely continue to come back. We stay as a overnight quick stop for our kids to relax and for us to rest before heading back on the road the following day since we are usually heading to the beach. They give military discounts and the owners are super nice! The road obviously is very small getting there but you’re in WV so obviously you are gonna hit some backroads that are one lane. We love this little nice and easy pull in spots to relax for the day/night and can’t beat the rates! we will always continue using this place as a rest stop to unwind before hitting road to the beach every time we go. Our kids love being here also away from everything and they’ve got to see some cows here before too which my son loved! We found this spot the first time randomly just driving far and late and we were so tired and pulled into this spot we found. Now we will never use another pit stop place for the beach ever.

Quiet, nice spot, very nice owners.cool drive in.. take it slow. I drive a 3500 dually with a 43 foot 5th wheel and tandem pulling a seadoo trailer and made it no problem going slow and making wide turns.

One of the BEST RV spots we stayed at!
It was off the highway and down a country road but well worth it and the only path due to the highway and terrain of the area.
Our greeters were friendly and pleasant and although there were half a dozen other campers, the place was quiet, serene and a wonderful respite!
Rates were quite reasonable, and much better than so called resorts we stayed in later on our trip.
Surroundings allowed you to be completely separate from the highway and we also were treated to a wonderful thunderstorm throughout the night.
I drive a 27 foot C class and I had NO issues driving to or from the park, although less comfortable drivers may complain about the roads or turns.
Glad we found it and will visit again!

Great place to stay. Nice clear water and grounds are well maintained. Wonderful spots and easy to get in and out of. Good cellphone service and super quiet. We definitely appreciate this RV park. Just to find one that has simple amenities is hard these days without paying a small fortune.
