We stayed here for about two months and had a wonderful experience. We made a life long friend with the campground manager, Kathy. If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and cozy place to rest then look no further. This lovely campground has everything you need from showers to laundry and a cute little common space with seating and fire pit. Would recommend to anyone.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 months and Kathy(The Manager) was an amazing Host! She was kind over the phone when we called all the way up until we left. I would absolutely recommend Eagles Nest Campground if you are passing through for a night, staying for a week or long-term. No matter what the occasion or what you're traveling in, Eagles Nest and Kathy has got you covered!

It was a nice campground with a friendly touch of being able to sit around a fire with others or playing a game of cornhole. The lady who runs it was friendly and helpful. It was clean and seemed well maintained. Would stay here again.

Had a great experience here while experiencing the New River Gorge area! Only complaint was a fleet of dump trucks running right by the camp very late at night (kicking up a TON of dust) but I assume this is some kind of temporary thing. Will definitely try again if we're back in the area!

Spent 3 days here drycamping in the overflow camping area to explore New River Gorge NP. This is an absolute perfect location which is centrally located to explore the NP!!! We absolutely loved our spot!!!!

They had no room for our 5th wheel and I asked about a dry camping area and Kathy the manager said yes, but there are no hookups. She was very helpful and kind and provided me with the details of safely navigating our 48 ft 5ver prior to arriving.

The bathhouse/laundry was about 300 yards from our site in the pic and were clean and adequately supplied.

We paid $30 a night which we thought was a fair price considering our location. Also, we met Ronnie the owner, and he was a very nice and down to earth gentlemen. He was out working with several of his employees adding several full hookup sites to the park.

Small Campground along Rt 19. Gravel lot with pull trough and back in sites. 30 and 50 amp hookups. Not much in the way of amenities. Central fire ring and laundromat. What it lacks in amenities is made up in hospitality. Upon arrival we were in need of parts for our tow vehicle. Camp host personally took me to an auto parts store several miles down the rode to get what I needed. Caution, very steep road to the campground.

My sisters and I were on a roadtrip to N.C when we ended up with an electric car rental with no where to charge it! We called the campsite and an angel by the name of Kathy answered the phone, she told us to come on and she took great care of us. Giving us a place to stay overnight! I can’t thank this woman enough for what she did. Kathy I want to thank you again from the bottom of my heart ❤, for all you did! Stay Blessed 🙏🏽

My experience at eagles, nest campground, Is one I will never forget! The ironic thing is, this was not a plan visit we. My sister's and I we're on our way statesville, north carolina to visit my family. We rented a car which they upgraded us to an electric car because they had no gas cars. As it turned out, we could not find charging stations. To charge the electric car Anne, we ran across eagles nests. Buy seeing it on the highway. We pulled off called Eagle's mess. And got an angel name Kathy! She was so kind. She took us to the store to get us something to eat. It was 5 of us and put us up overnight until we can get the mess. Straightened out with avis rental car. When finally, we're able to get a car on Saturday afternoon and continue on our trip. We had already lost a day with our family. But we spent the day at the best. Campground ran by an angel called Kathy. You all have the best running your campground! We Have gained a lifetime friend and we are so thankful. God bless you Kathy! This is a no frills, solid campground! They have about ~20 or so sites with electric and water along with a whole field you could dry camp in, which is what we did on the busy 4th of July weekend. The field was safe, well kept, and the bathrooms/showers were exactly what we needed.

Best part was the management! The owner truly cares about this place and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need at all times of the day. Not to mention that the location is GREAT!

All in all, would highly recommend and will most definitely be staying again the next time we’re in the area.

We were at the Eagle’s Nest RV park during the National Scout Jamboree in July and August. The facilities were very good, clean and comfortable, and the area is so beautiful. It is just a mile or so from the gate at Bechtel Summit Reserve so it was very convenient. Our hostess was delightful snd so welcoming, helpful and kind. She truly went above and beyond all of our expectations to be sure that we had everything that we needed to have a perfect experience. Thank you Kathy! We will definitely return again if we have the chance.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Stayed over a month here & we all loved it. If we're in the area again, we'll be going straight here! Joe & Judy make a wonderful impression on everyone they meet. They're kind & very helpful! We rented one of their campers & couldn't of had a better experience. 😁

Kathy was super sweet and very easy to communicate with. She had you feel right at home. I have two littles so a small playground would have been nice, but we knew this going. The campground was located perfectly for exploring new river gorge. We'd be happy to stay again if we ever come through!

We needed a place to overnight and called a few days before, this is not a "do it all online place" but they couldn't be more accommodating.
If you want a resort keep looking, if you want a quiet, well located, gracious home to enjoy a fabulous region of the country this is it!
It feels like visiting family except that annoying sister didn't come.
I'm coming back for a 5 night stay next time.
My new way stop for south east adventures.

Nice small family campground very close to the new river gorge bridge. We laid over here for one night on our way back to Nc from the Midwest and we have bragged heavily about this little campground. We loved the layout of the pull through “buddy sites” And plan to go back to the area and stay with these kind folks again.

Quiet relaxing place to go and enjoy family time. Office manager Kathy is friendly and helps with anything that is needed. We had a family reunion there and everyone had a wonderful time.

My family and I stayed here for a week in the tent camping. Bathrooms are kept clean, as is the large tent field. Each site has a fire ring. Wood and ice available for sale on site. Manager is a gem of a woman! So sweet! We loved our time here!

August 15th we call eagle nest campground very late and Kathy answered the phone. At first said she didn't have anything, but called right back and she was going yo check a site that was possibly open. She walked out to the site in the dark and told us to come on down we have a site open. We arrived, pulled right in the site. Hook up was very easy. If you're looking for a day or longer stay consider this camp ground.
