Bama Bucks

Beautiful Restaurant, friendly service and country atmosphere surrounded by wildlife. The food is amazing! There is a gift shop and animal park! This place is out in the country. Get there early so you don’t have to wait and can still see the animals before dark. There is a small fee for the animals park. It’s the home of Sand Mountain Sam the Possum who comes out every year to see his shadow to predict an early spring or not. There is a whole big event there. Totally worth it!

The best experience we’ve had! The food is phenomenal, the atmosphere is amazing. The animals were gorgeous! Such an adventure. I have traveled the country as a Hair Artist Advanced Educator, experienced the finest dining all over the country & in Australia. Bama Bucks beat them all!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had Venison, Elk, Grilled Chicken, Berry Chimichanga. We all tasted each others food, phenomenal❣

About 90 minutes from Huntsville, this place is more of an experience than just a restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire afternoon starting with the old timey store and the general store before buying a $5 ticket for the wildlife viewing experience. The animals were up close and easy to view. Dinner was excellent even after the 90 minute wait. With a variety of different meals. I suggest you view the menu online before arriving. They could use extra bathroom space as so many people are here on a Saturday. Try to visit on Thursday or Friday instead of Saturday. Excellent wait staff and a very clean place. Food was plentiful and great taste.

Love this place so much … I wrote a song about it. This place Bama Bucks is an awesome new discovery for me.

It has become my favorite place to get my fill.

A treasure find for those who haven’t experienced Bama Bucks.

A metal detector won’t find this treasure, but a GPS will.

Off the beaten path, but well worth the treasure hunt when looking for exquisite meals.

The “Exotic Wild Life Sanctuary” of exotic animals are visible from the windows inside the restaurant (tickets available to venture inside/explore).

First time visiting and it was a good time and experience.

Food;
I got the Bison steak, which was good and very tender, but just know that it was a pretty fatty piece of meat. If you are not a fan of a fatty cut I would certainly recommend you get something different. However, this was my first time having Bison, so I don't know if that is the normal cut or if mine was the exception. My sides were a baked potato, which was also good and a salad which had a upcharge for. I would not say the salad is worth the upcharge and to just get one of the included sides.
She got the medallion steak tips with a baked potato, corn on cob, and fried green tomatoes. She said everything was good.
DESSERT:
We had to try the bread pudding, and it was so good. I would definitely recommend it.

Animals:
Cost $5pp to walk around the concrete path to see all the animals. It is totally worth it, and kids would definitely enjoy it. I would say it is wheelchair accessible also. The path does sit on a slight incline, but nothing too difficult.

Been wanting to eat here for some time. What a treat. If you’ve been here, we had a window seat. The best ribeye I’ve ever had in a restaurant.

This was by far one of the neatest places we've been! We drove 2 hours to eat dinner, and it did not disappoint! We had the best time. The animals were so fun to see! Highly recommend!!

Met up with family from Georgia and Alabama here in the middle-ish. Loved this place. No alcohol. Meat options included bison, wild boar, etc. Steak was cooked to perfection. The fire pit in the front was perfect to sit around and exchange gifts. Walked through the animal park area and saw kangaroo, buffalo, and many other creatures.

Highly recommend the place, service-wait staff, and everything about it.

We've been here a couple times now, and the service is fantastic, the food was fantastic, and all in all its just a good family atmosphere. We LOVE the Macaroni and Gouda Bites. This is a MUST! Be sure to walk through and look at the animals, especially if you have kids. It doesn't take a lot of time, but it's cool to see them.

The food, atmosphere and service were absolutely phenomenal. The drive up to the restaurant was beautiful - I had no idea the beauty we had in our area. This is the perfect setting for a nice family dinner and good fun.

Wow ! ! ! The buffalo ribeye was phenomenal. Getting to the last bite reminded of Goldy's in Nassau the Bahamas. I looked so forward to the last bite, but oh no, it was the last bite. I had to absolutely savor every morsel. You gots to go and enjoy some of the best food you will ever eat.

Such a Wonderful Experience! Great Food, Great Atmosphere! Our Server was Named Jemma (I hope I spelt that right) she was amazing she took time to listen and cut up with my kids! Food was amazing! We paid the extra $3 a person to walk around and see some exotic animals, it was so worth it! Will definitely be coming back!!!

Had a great experience. My wife got the beef ribeye I got the bison ribeye they were both cooked properly and seasoned well. The salad was delicious with the homemade ranch. And the sweet potato was amazing. Our waitress Dom was exceptional.

This place was insane! The food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. I tried so many things I never had before and I loved each and every one. The waitress was super nice and very attentive, we never needed to try to get her attention for simple things and always had refills before we could ask for them. The general store was packed with so many interesting things and a few rare animals! Then they also have almost a full zoo behind the restaurant! It was a magical place and I will be telling everyone I know where to go for a great adventure!

Great place to have dinner with friends and family. We enjoyed seeing the animals and also eat wild game meat. I had quails for the first time. The food and service was great. Had my birthday celebration there too.

My friend and myself took a day trip to Bama Bucks! Pamela our sweet and awesome server started us off with stuffed mushrooms~ great suggestion! Followed by equally delicious beef medallions cooked perfectly. The fried green tomatoes had a hint of smokiness that was so good! The atmosphere at Bama Bucks was fun and enjoyable and we couldn’t of been more well taken care of by Pamela- thank you, keep writing and thank you again for taking such good care of us!

First time being there and drove over 2.5 hours just to try it out for husbands birthday. Server was a little lacking in her service but the owner was so nice and talked to his customers. Food was exceptional and will definitely be back!

Awesome place to eat and watch the animals! We had breakfast on Groundhog Day. They are usually only open for Supper on the weekends.
