Food was really good. Highly recommend the shrimp tacos. I was in Des Moines for a function and we stopped here to eat on our way back home to Cedar Rapids, IA. It is definitely a place I would eat at again, if I'm ever in the area again.

You won't get any complaints from me. I got the 3 chicken enchilada plate. Fresh rice and refried beans. I bobtailed here and they are trucker friendly. Did I forget to mention the horchata. Pure delicious.

What a great find on our way back home! I never dreamed of find such authentic and GREAT food here! If your looking to scratch that Mexican food itch, just do in and you won't be disappointed.

Great restaurant for a quick meal. We ordered and had our food in under 10 minutes.
Lunch fajitas are fantastic, fajita quesadillas are too.
Definitely stop by if you are in the area, you won't be disappointed!

I love this place!! Clean & the menu is not crazy like some. I had the burrito, inside was ground beef, rice, lettuce (just a bit) cilantro, tomatoes, cheese & a bit of hot sauce. Oh, I added their cheese sauce on top. Delish. I'm thrilled because usually all I get in my burrito is ground beef 😔.

I LOVE El Cerrito! The food is always great no matter what you order and the staff is super friendly! We go there every time we are in town. My husband has a usual there. I cannot recommend this place enough!

We love to go here for great mexican food. I especially like their 'hot' salsa. Mix a lil in w/their normal n u can make it to the spicy of ur taste. We do silent auction fundraisers for our hometown pre-school. The owner is one of the best bid for restaurants, knowing this, has always been glad to help.

Exceptional! We landed at this place after a middle school wrestling meet solely based on Google Maps recommendation. The place is clean, the food is authentic and the staff (I'm assuming husband/wife team) were friendly. I had the steak street tacos with their homemade 'green sauce' (garlic, lime, cilantro) - I would drive back up there today for those tacos! Without a doubt, we will stop here again when we are in the area. Thanks for sharing your gifts with your community and with us!

Best seafood quesidilla I ever had. The shrimp had such a good flavor to it. Just wow. The price is more affordable than other Mexican restaurants I have been to. Definitely satisfied!

We haven't been here for a couple of months and we were disappointed this time. Service and prices were average but definitely do not or guacamole. Not sure it should be frothy. Didn't taste right either.

Awesome service! Steak tacos are amazing! Make sure you ask for the "hot" sauce. Fried ice cream is delicious too... Actually, everything we have tried has been good.

We went on the 4th of July, the employees worked their butt off and the food was delicious! Everything we had was amazing and we will definitely be eating there again.

Great little restaurant. Good food, home made salsas too. Jose is a great waiter with any information we inquired about. Our first trip there and it will be our go to restaurant for authentic mexican from now on.

Delicious, authentic food. Great prices! Nice to find this local restaurant when we were in Tama for a tennis meet. Servings were very generous and we left very full and satisfied.
