Lincoln Cafe

Stopped in for lunch (1-2pm) on Thursday with my folks. We were very pleased with the service, cleanliness and atmosphere! They serve Pepsi products, that's a plus with us. The menu choices are EXCELLENT! My mom is doing KETO and was very pleased with her options! She ordered the house chicken, grilled breasts, with peppers, onions and melted cheese. She also had her choice of two sides. It was no problem when she asked for two lettuce salads as her sides. Our server even combined them into one bowl instead of serving in separate bowls and made sure to give her plenty salad dressing.
My dad and I both had the four piece broasted chicken dark meat with two sides. Salad for both of us too. Dad's salad was fine, unfortunately mine had the texture of a salad leftover from the night before. It was edible and I didn't complain because there are people starving all over the world. Dad ordered fries, they are crinkle cut and I thought they were ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. Dad likes his fries really done and crunchy, almost burnt, but he still ate most of his fries. I ordered hash browns and was not disappointed! Shredded, moist and slightly crunchy pieces! YUM I love when they are cooked on a well used, seasoned surface! We all brought leftovers home.
The prices are very reasonable, they also had daily specials written on a board that looked appealing! There's also a cooler with shelves of what looks like homemade pies! If I had been able to finish my chicken I would have had a hard time trying to decide on which pie to have!
We will go back if we are in the area again. We might even make a special trip if they still have the fish special during lent next year.

Anytime I am in Belle Plaine. I come here for great tasting food. They never disappoint, it is your classic Midwest diner and the breakfast skillets are gluten free and amazing. Nothing is marked gluten free but deductive reasoning can't help you navigate this classic diner menu.

Great food at a great price. Very nice to have a big separate area for big family gatherings/parties. I also tried to get good updated pictures of the menu for people! Great place for everyone!

Ate at the Lincoln Cafe for the first time about a week ago. I had been wanting to stop in for a long time, and I'm so glad I finally did. Can't say enough good things about it. Food is great, atmosphere is just wonderful, and the service was attentive.

It's a small town cafe. What more can I say? Give it a try!

This place is a total gem. If youre in town and need a bite, its THE place to go. I ordered takeout and it was delicious even after getting it home. The broasted chicken was out of control, and so was my grilled chicken with onion, mushroom and swiss cheese. I asked the girl working for her recommendations on entrees and pie and she did so well- we are full and happy! I believe her name was Kristy. She was so sweet and patient, also gave me updates on the timeline of my food. We will definitely be back again next time were in town. Do yourself a favor and get the chocolate pie! My only complaint is that the combo appetizer did not come with ranch, but i did not specify i wanted any so they stil deserve 5 stars.

This place is timeless. We've enjoyed eating here several times & each time the service was very friendly & the food was good. If you are looking for a good small town diner - this is it.

Dan had peach pie for an appetizer and breakfast for his supper. He said it was all very good. I had a tenderloin and fries. Everything was excellent. Reminded me of the old Wishbone in w'loo. Waitress was fast and very friendly. Atmosphere very relaxing, like your hometown.. We'll stop again and again.

This place knows what it’s doing. Diner food done right. Service is as good as it gets. Go here.

Great Diner. Amazing food and very friendly staff. Even the taco shells were homemade. We enjoyed our stay very much.

A small town. Very nice cafe. It appears the owner puts money back into his business. It was not run down. The food was good. Servers were friendly.

Excellent food and service. If you leave this place hungry it’s your own fault because the portions are huge!

Great small town cafe. Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful coffee refills. Nice atmosphere with friendly customers.
Our waitress was fantastic, she was working the entire floor, and still managed to check back with us multiple times.

Food today was ok, everyone has an off day. The temperature of our food was slightly warm. My omelet was bland, no flavors other than the egg. My husband has french toast, which was good, just not hot. Barely warm, butter wouldn't even melt.

Great food excellent service. Food always comes out hot and pretty quick must eat place for breakfast.

Excellent food and the waitresses are so very nice. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Don't hesitate to go there!

My friend had her family come into town from all over the country to help us renovate her house.
We have eaten here the past 3 nights and loved everything we've ordered.
We were especially impressed with the service we received from our server, Nikki. We will definitely be back.
