Backroads Diner

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Backroads Diner, and it was a wonderful experience. I'm a fan of small family-owned businesses in small towns, and this place was exactly what I was hoping for. I love places that offer a home-cooked breakfast experience. The Sunny-Side-Up eggs I ordered were cooked to perfection, served with toast, tea, and jam. The grilled chicken breast was deliciously tender and flavorful. My waitress, Katie, provided exceptional service with her politeness and attentiveness. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely make sure to stop by for another delightful breakfast.

Came in expecting “Waffle House” vibe…. Not at all. If you want good ol country cooking to take you back to your childhood, this is the place to go!!!! Made me miss my MawMaw and her cooking! 10/10 will highly recommend!!! Great service, great prices, even better food! The food was so good I forgot to try to get a photo. Below is what is left. Will fill you up!

Never disappoints. The best part is the nap that is not on the menu, but is mandatory afterwards.

Very good and family owned small diner what's great

I can confidently say that was the best biscuit I've had in my life. Crisp outside but soft on the inside and just the right amount of salt to make it yummy on its own. Of course I got the homemade gravy with it. Their bacon is thick-cut and when you ask for cheese you get the real shredded stuff instead of a slice of American slapped on top! Our waitress was wonderful even though I had to walk out twice with a crying baby and was very prompt when we needed something! Definitely will be going back!

They have a great breakfast special here! Eggs, bacon, yummy crispy hash browns, toast or biscuit, grits or gravy, and coffee or tea. Seventy five cents extra for a soda. It was under $9. Good food, good price, good service, and friendly employees, you can't beat that!

Good "down home" dishes. Meat and three lunches are reasonably priced with good portion sizes. Staff are friendly and attentive.

Really tasty, stick to your ribs good food. My daughter who is very picky eater ate a sausage biscuit with hashbrowns, plus her mom and my hashbrowns, along with her brothers fries and some of his fried chicken fingers. Philly omelete was large and tasty. White gravy and biscuits was good too. Drinks are huge. Service was friendly and prompt and is the first time we have gotten out of a restaurant for under $50 for all 5 of us including tip... $42, well done Backroads.

We are visiting from Jacksonville Florida and looked on Google for places to eat and this came up. It is the best place that I have had breakfast. Clean and the friendliest place ever. Our waitress was so very good. She said she was new and never waitressed before but you sure couldn't tell. She was great! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Quintessential small town diner experience with friendly staff and hearty food. If you are looking for a full breakfast with pancakes the size of your head, then this is the spot for you!
Update May 2022: Still yummy food, good value and great service ...even on a busy Saturday morning. A great local owned place to grab a bite!

Home grown country cooking!!! Absolutely amazing food and the prices and serving size, are superb!!! The staff are super friendly and professional. Great place to grab breakfast and/or lunch. Definitely family friendly!!! No big chain, just homegrown folks serving great food and great memories!!!

Was so good, I hadn't been in here since it was 3 guys a long time ago but they have some delicious home cooked meals that made me want more. Go try their lunch specials some day

They have a wonderful country home cooked breakfast. My coworkers and I order from here alot for breakfast. We call it in and it's usually ready before we get there always hot and fresh!! I would highly recommend eating here I have only had 1 bad experience out of about 100.

Best place to eat within 50 sq miles or more! The staff is just awesome! Super friendly, especially Jessica! She is best waitress ever, and tolerates my overbearing comedic personality and incessant need to high five over small accomplishments! 😜

Good "mom and pop" place with good food, friendly service and free dessert. The waitress even told us to take a second dessert. Best sweet tea since my late grandmother's.
