Veloce Wood-Fired Pizze

The food is phenomenal! Highly recommend their turkey wood-fired sandwich! It has a very refreshing taste and you will be going back for seconds! It’s a cute little place locally owned. Priced definitely match the quality of the food though! Make sure to call and place your order or just call to see if they are open since they have been experiencing some problems with the building they are in causing them to close but other than that I highly recommend! This is a perfect place to come after ice skating or bowling! And it’s definitely a place I will be ordering from again!

Veloce is a hidden gem in the Deerfield Highland Park area, although there are many pizza places in the area there’s nothing quite like this one. When I first picked up the pizza, it was so fresh that it immediately steamed up my car. Once I got home, the quality of the ingredients really stood out. From the mozzarella and pepperoni quality to the perfect char on the bread of the pizza. Overall, It was an amazing flavorful experience.

Peter is killing it!!! He and his team are pizza scientists that have reached wood fired oven nirvana. Their crunchy crust and homemade sauce is the real deal. Plus the way they bake their bread for the delicious sandwiches is just as great. They deserve 10 stars out of 5.

I had an amazing experience with my parents. We picked this spot last minute, and luckily had a small spot to eat in. This is mainly a takeout location, but so good if you eat right there. There's a nice amount of options when picking a pizza, or sandwhich. I think the price is more than reasonable for the quality as well as the service. Loved both guys I met when I went, and they went as far as to give us a free pizza to have my brother try. I will definitely be back and am more than wiling to recommend this spot! A must try!

Pizza is fire—the tastiest for the money I’ve found around. We got the pesto and artichoke one. Still a few kinks to work out with their wait times. A system that sent a text message when the pizza is ready would be fantastic. Good vegetarian options. Happy to find such amazing pizza inside Lowe Mill.

Best wood fired pizza in this area - hands down. The prosciutto arugula is outstanding.
The negative reviews are all old and based on an issue they had with online ordering and store hours; that seems to be resolved now. I’ve ordered a few times and no issues.

Stopped in when passing through after finding them on Google, not realizing they predominately do carry out. They do have a small counter that we sat at to dine in. Staff was wonderful and very welcoming. Pizza was delicious! We love supporting small businesses and would definitely stop again!

Best Neapolitan style pizza in a 20 mile radius. Beautiful crust, prime quality ingredients. IMO if you like traditional, Italian, or New York style pizza, then this is definitely the place you’ll find it. Outstanding.

They have the BEST dough for their sandwiches and pizzas🍕 I HIGHLY recommend the turkey or roast beef sandwiches 🌟 🥪 🌟 It comes with this fresh and tasty cilantro signature sauce which is such a nice touch to the whole assembly 👌🏿the bread is always warm, flavorful and ready to eat when you come in.

Once we came while they were supposed to be open and upgrading the restaurant and they gave us free sandwiches the next day for the inconvenience 🥰 They're always doing their best to make improvements and grow as a business. They even added a cute little dining section so you eat while its still hot 🔥

I ate Italian pizza only in Italy and in this place. This is a real Italian pizza with Italian products. Very tasty and juicy. My daughter was delighted. We're glad we found real pizza in Illinois. The service is very friendly. Would recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy real Italian pizza!!!

I tried this place today for the first time, new restaurant opening their doors amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, and outside of the fact it was something different than what we have at home, their pizza was absolutely amazing.

We ordered the Bruschetta and the Sausage pizzas, and we were fighting over the last pieces. I am not usually a fan of Italian Sausage, but this Sausage was fantastic, and I wish there was more on the pizza.

My only complaint is that they are a 5 minute walk or 1 minute drive from my house, so I may be there a too often.

Edit (05/27/2020):
We have since tried more pizzas and sandwiches, per the owner's recommendation, and as far as I am concerned, you could put dirt on that dough and it would be amazing. We have not had anything we have not liked yet, and we have tried all the pizzas (except 1, we will get there) as well as 3 of their sandwiches.

So good, it’s hard to find authentic pizza in the area and this place gets the cheese/sauce to crust ratio just right. The slight char on the bottom and crust is great compared to lame pub style stuff we are stuck with out here. I wish you had big pies too!

Wow - Great Tasting Assortment of Sandwiches with Fresh Ingredients on Super Bread/Rolls. This place is a Real Gem with Classic Wood-Fired Pizza. You can't go wrong with anything from the Menu.

Man o man! Ben and Peter (owners) came up with a fantastic restaurant and I had both a Quattro Gusti Pizza and turkey sandwich. 10 out of 5. They are great guys too! Please go support this great restaurant!

Thrilled that they are so close....the salumaria has taken over my dreams. Wonderful pizza! (You can see we had a small problem and the owner bent over backwards to make it right. This place makes a great pizza.

My family has been ordering from Veloce since they opened and we firmly believe they are the best in the North shore. Every single time we finish eating we literally say "damn, that was good". When we're craving pizza, we know where were ordering from.

Passing through Chicago and this place popped up. Pizza was delicious and the staff was great. We were not disappointed! If we pass through ago we will definitely go here again
