Sunset Woods Park Gazebo

What an awesome park for all ages. So much to do from multiple climbing areas and sandbox stations, wide open grass areas to huge themed playgrounds. Parents are very attentive over their children which is great because less injuries and bullying. Also super clean park. Bathrooms were even open and the restrooms have a space heater too and clean which is helpful on a colder winter but sunny day. Truly a great park.they even have walking paths, ball fields, an outdoor ice rink and more.

Awesome park with 3 playground areas: the new rocketship park, the nature playground and the tot lot which is fenced in. The rocketship playground has a soft rubberized surface and a lot of unique features. Great for kids of all ages and abilities!
Nice bathrooms, walking trails and picnic shelters too.

I grew up playing here in the 60s and 70s. Was a day camp counselor too 1974-78. It's a beautiful as ever. My grandchildren ages 10, 12 and 14 had a great time! It's clean, well maintained, safe, and has varied places to climb, slide, swing, run, just be a kid.

This park is gigantic and has two separate playground areas as well as an enclosed baby area for little ones with a sandpit. My girls 8 and 10 still enjoyed it as they did years ago but obviously moreso the younger one. They also have walking trails that go around the entire park area and I think also by the baseball field area, the whole area is huge and the tons and tons of oak trees are beautiful.

The park is a rare find in the suburbs. The park has lots of trees so you won't feel the heat. There are atleast 2 sheds with benches for a group event. Prior permission needed for a group of 12 or more. Has a long enough trail for cycling and jogging. Restrooms were clean. Has a Skate park and a tennis court. Overall a nice picnic spot during summer and even fall weekends!

Great park for walking, has basketball courts and a skateboard park that is phenomenal! The new spaceship playground is awesome!! Very smooth and safe walking path that keeps you motivated with the beautiful surroundings and neighborhood. I would definitely suggest this park and plenty of places to park and sit and enjoy the weather or just be in nature.

Under construction. A bit disappointed after driving 45 minutes to get to this park, to find out a large portion of the playground was under construction.
It’s a huge park, with multiple play grounds, a sand area, skate park, and tons of walking paths.

Probably one of the best parks in the Lake County Area. Playing area looks absolutely stunning. Wish there was more shade and seatin area available but nonetheless is a great place to spend a nice summer afternoon.

This park is AMAZING! You have three main parks divided for different age groups, parents are very attentive and the ice cream truck takes credit cards!!! Awesome fun 🤩 you will have!

Excellent park with play equipment for all ages. There is a section for toddlers which is fenced in. There are many shaded areas to sit in or picnic. Bathrooms and water are available.

Beautiful place to see fall colors. We were able to see different shades of fall colors. There are multiple play areaso. All are well equipped with different types of play equipments. Overall kids will love playing in the play areas.

One of the best parks in the Chicago area. Lots of open space and many recreational activities.

Very beautiful park! It has 3 playgrounds targeted for certain ages. The trails are great for walking or running! There's a baseball field.

I grew up playing in this park as a kid and was so excited to see it was finally getting a makeover! This town has always taken care of its parks and its kids and I am so blessed to call here home! #HIGHLANDPARKSTRONG

This park is probably the best and biggest play ground in Highland Park. It has the playground, baseball diamonds, skate park, basketball court, pick nick areas and restrooms. Everything is updated and very clean. I've went to the park a whole lot when I was a child. I've watched friends play softball in the park district leagues, shot some hoops... It has a lot of stuff to do. I forgot the park district also puts up an ice rink in the winter. I will never forget my time spent there as a child.
