Plank's Tavern on the Water

I went here with my husband to eat wheel cheese pasta. Chef said cheese from italy.
Taste was so great. Very deep cheese flavor
The Salad also great. But i don't know what is brown bean in salad. That's taste was so weird. But i really like here ♥
I think I would like to visit here one more time for my bday.
Wheel cheese pasta was 29bucks.

Stopped for dinner on the way home from a business trip and was blown away. The atmosphere was fantastic. I loved the bar area. The look and feel of the restaurant and lobby really impressed me. The food was great. Portion size was perfect. There were four of us and everyone loved their dinner. The cocktails were fantastic too. I highly recommend Plank's.

I came to Michigan for a family reunion and decided to take a quick drive to see Lake Michigan. I wanted dinner at a restaurant with a view, so I Googled and found Planks. At my first glance, the menu didn't seem to "Wow" me. But, honey let me tell you, the food did WOW me!

We ordered the bread with butter candle. Which was actually a candle made out of butter with a wick! Once lit, it melted the butter so we could dip our bread.

We also ordered the kale salad and the brussel sprouts. Both were delicious 😋.

My husband ordered a vegetarian pasta, with a cheese Alfredo sauce. This pasta was exceptional and ranks in his top 5. I ordered the sliders which were also delicious.

Overall, I had an outstanding meal at Plank's. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I did not have food. We stopped in for a drink after visiting the lighthouse on our girls trip. I cannot remember the bartenders name but she was just awesome to us "idiot out of towners " 🤣 we were having a blast! We talked about grand babies, things to see... she made time to talk to us and that's the best customer service you can have!
That one drink decided that our next trip will definitely land us in a room there! Such a lovely place!

Food was very good. We had reservations for 11 on a Sunday and arrived around 10:30 and didn't have to wait. We ordered promptly and didn't have to wait long for the order to come out. I had the chicken and biscuits, with an over easy egg. My husband had the hash and eggs which he enjoyed as well.

Fantastic brunch!! Delicious drinks and great service... Will definitely go again...

My wife and I came to this restaurant on a whim. Just looking for somewhere to go on a Tuesday evening. After a Google search Planks Tavern came up and there was a picture of an appetizer. It was bread with a butter candle. We had never tried that before so we decided to give it a whirl. We are sure glad we did! The bread and butter candle was delicious and fun and it came with a side of house made grape jam, and Italian seasoned breadcrumbs. I ended up trying the lobster corn dogs and my wife ordered the chopped salad. The lobster corn dogs were out of this world! My wife and I agree that they are easily in the top five bites of food that we've had all year. The chopped salad was wonderful too. It had blue cheese crumbles on it which, I don't normally like , but these crumbles paired well with the salad and we're actually quite tasty. All in all, the food was spectacular and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back and bringing friends. Especially when the warmer weather rolls in! I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is delicious, the atmosphere is great, and the staff was amazing. It doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant. It's just an added bonus that you can walk up to your room after dinner.

Met with friends and had Sunday Brunch. The omelets were custom made with a good selection of meats, vegetables, and cheeses. They were very tasty. There were other meats potatoes dessert and vegetables to make for lunch. I enjoyed the food. The bar was open and drinks available to order.

I enjoy dinner here in the summertime, and it turns out that wintertime brunch is just as fantastic! Such a warm environment with nice water views. Friendly staff, excellent service. Stop and say hi to Concierge Luis.

Great food! The breakfast burrito was delicious and enough to share. They let us build our own breakfast as well. The gravy is some of the best I've ever tasted.

Had a great burger at Plank. Service was fantastic even with it being busy. Everyone was very polite. Burger was expensive but good

We stopped for a lunch/brunch on a busy holiday day. The patio has a great water view. The food took 40 minutes, but everything was delicious. Great options of beers on tap, mimosas and cocktails.
Fresh fruits for kids instead of canned as in many places. The restaurant is inside a hotel.

Magnificent locale to be tranquil while you drink in the scenery. The majesty of nature is on full display. All this is complemented by the exquisite flavors that dance on your pallet. Service enhanced this delightful dining experience. (Yeah, it was that good!)

We had a great time meeting for Mother’s Day and a Birthday. Everything is excellent. It’s nice to see the water.. a little strange to see the big gravel yard, but we still enjoyed it.
Our server was top-notch.. helped us remember our to-go box and our cell phone!
If you are there with a group, get the pretzel.
Surf & Turf special was delicious as were the Ribs.
We would come back in a heartbeat.. not sure why this has 4.3 stars instead of 4.7… it’s good!
We we’re celebrating a lot, so maybe it’s the prices… but it sure seemed worth it!

The perfect brunch spot. We sat outdoors with a gorgeous view. Bloody Mary's were good and both of our meals were delicious. The banana bread French toast is out of this world. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at the Plank. Our waiter, Tom (aka Mary) was fun and informative. He suggested several dishes and we were not disappointed. Trout, fish and chips along with a smash buger were excellent. The Brussel sprouts were very good, as well as the french fries. Thanks for a nice evening.

I love this place for the location itself. Both the indoor and outdoor ambiance are soothing. I recommend to have a breakfast or brunch at this place, since I did the same.I was sitting outside in the sun, right on the banks of the river, eating some great food. I tasted the salmon Avocado Toast and Lox with sourdough bread and I was very happy with my choice.

This was our first experience here at Planks. We stayed a few days at the Inn at Harbor Shores. The food at Planks is amazing. We did not have anything we did not enjoy.
Everyone that works here is extremely friendly.

This place is any absolute GEM! From their Bloody Mary's... to their food and service! After experiencing poor service at other local restaraunts the day prior... BOY were we happy to have come across this place! The atmosphere and location in the water is perfect. The extremely fresh and colorful dishes that were coming out left me wanting to try everything. For drinks we ordered the mimosas, grapefruit champagne, and bloody Mary... everything was so good. For food we ordered corned beef hash, chorizo and poached eggs, Apple and almond salad, and the smoked salmon BLT.... and once again they hit the mark. Delicious! The restaraunt has tempted us to stay at the hotel our next visit.
