Summer Breeze Campground

Wonderful campground! Spacious sites, pool, clean restrooms and very friendly hosts. Mom and Pop operation and they are workers checking sites of departing campers. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We used the campgrounds and what a surprise awaited us! I called and was told to "show up and we'll come out to meet you if you are [after hours]." We squeaked in right before closing and they were so pleasant to us as we checked in and offered all of the amenities we might need before they closed up - never rushed us. The shower room was the best we had on the entire 1000 mile trip and the campgrounds were exceedingly neat and tidy. You can tell the owners take pride in their hospitality and grounds here!

I was in town for work and camped for a week. The lady at the front desk was kind and the restrooms were always clean. They have a pool, small playground, a volleyball net, and a basketball goal. They also have a small cabin that I think they rent out.

Great private campground. The spots are spacious and you’re not on top of your neighbor like a lot of private campground. The amenities are nice with plenty of washers and dryers. The kids enjoyed the playground and the tether ball.

Worth noting this is in the central time zone if you’re coming from the east. We ended up there at 11am instead of the planned noon, but the hosts checked us in anyways.

This campsite was very clean and roomy. Didn't feel like a sardine crammed in a can. Sites were generous, and showers and bathrooms were very clean!! We didn't have kids, but the ones that were there enjoyed the pool and other amenities. Highly recommmend these guys. Thanks to you for keeping such a nice place for us to travel to.

We stayed one night, May 13. Since it was before the summer, it was quiet. The manager gave us a large, shady site. The showers and laundry were clean. They have a decent area to walk dogs and even a trail through the woods. Be careful of ticks!!

Staff is very nice, grass and trees all over, quiet, and well kept. Stayed here only one night but it’s so peaceful, it worth a few the next time.

We haven't been living on the road for long but this is already one of my favorite campsites. It's very quiet and clean. The laundry room is nice as well. The owners are awesome. There's a lot to do in this small town. Fumee Lake Natural Area (there's a spring here, you can fill up), Vagabond park (Ski-ters water show is here), Norway Spring, Strawberry Lake Park, Cornish Pumping Engine and Mining Museum, WWII Glider and Military museum, Millie Mine Bat Cave (platform is great for sunsets), The Ice Cream Barn (they sometimes have cows), True North Outpost, Iron Mountain Iron Mine, Lume, Horse Race Rapids, Smalley Falls, Long Slide Falls, Dave's Falls, Black River Falls, Farmers Market (every Saturday), Saloon Number 2, The Mineshaft (great food), 51st State Brewing Company, Journey North (Polaris Rentals and over 160 miles of trails), Pine Mountain (great for sunsets as well), and Iron Mountain City Park (they have a deer enclosure)

OH, the campground also has a nice little hiking trail. If you're here during the right months there's a bunch of raspberries and blackberries. We picked enough to make a pie and some jam.

Such a fun, yet relaxing place. Great sized sites, excellent accommodations, and very clean. The kids playground was well kept and clean. The pool was open even after Labor Day, which this year was colder than most. Site signage could be improved, but the staff was willing to help with any questions that came up. Currently, wood can be brought in from off site, but the offer quality hardwood for a great price and even deliver it to your site. We have a GREAT 3 day weekend and will certainly return next season.

Been going to Sumner Breeze for many years. Great place. We will be back next year too.

7/12/23 We came back again this year and Jerry & Nicki couldn't of been nicer. Our stay was shorter then usual but we couldn't of been happier. The park was fabulous.

Love, love, love Summer Breeze! Always very nice, ALWAYS accommodating. We have stayed off and on over the past 3 years, and they have been GREAT! Always nice and clean, always warm and friendly people. Just a great, comfortable place to stay. Did I say the rates are VERY reasonable? How does it get better than that? We will certainly be back.

OLD SCHOOL DOLLAR VALUE. OMG! ... Jerry and Nikki . Jerry the "Energizer Bunny" never stops. Nikki so wonderful and sweet. They both make this park clean and fabulous. We rolled in without a reservation on a wing and a prayer.....Something I never do. We were greeted with open arms and accommodated in a great spot. Total relief. Easy Easy. GREAT RATE. Clean pool. Clean Restrooms, Showers, Laundry. Perfect Perfect. If you're ever in Iron Mountain... GO SEE Jerry and Nikki !! GREAT PARK. Truly a FANTASTIC VALUE. We are full time RVer's..... every state, hundreds of parks. This one gets a thumbs UP... Ice cream social and everything. Can't say enough about this wonderful park. Best advice......Summer Breeze in Iron Mountain.

We totally enjoyed our 2 night stay... This camp is simply beautiful, the sites are spacious, the pool is inviting, the playground looks fun, the cost to do laundry is minimal, and the restrooms are the best I have seen in years... SPOTLESS and tidy! We were also very happy to see that they offer recycling (as we have carried our recyclables through a couple states) and also offer a nice book exchange and even some games to borrow! The hosts are INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful... and the train only ran through once, mid-morning! I definitely recommend a stay here, you will find, it will be a great experience!

Loved staying here, owners are very sweet and polite. Loved that they have a dumpster for recycling! Nice well kept pool, horse shoes and games there. Allot of trails around them and beautiful scenery and wild life. Will definitely come back, thank you for having us! I highly recommend this campground very clean.

Very well kept. Nice quiet area with plenty of space. New owners are very accommodating. I had just stopped in a few days ahead of time to inquire about dumping my RV tanks and rinsing off the lower half of my rig prior to leaving the area for the West coast. While it was only worth a few dollars profit for them, they nevertheless helped me with a smile.

Great campground! Very friendly, showed us right to our sights for easy setup. Well kept and nice spacious sites. Extremely reasonable rates. Numerous things for kids to do (pool, playground, basketball hoop). We will for try to stay there again and will recommend it to our friends!

The couple that runs the place are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. They have showers, laundry room and heated pool

Love this place. Clean and well maintained. The owners were wonderful, I lost my truck key around the campground while I was walking my dog. I let him know this morning my keys were missing. They went and looked in the rain this morning. I retraced My steps and found them, but what nice people. Nice and quiet, not real loud, the campers all said hello while I was walking my dog. I will be back, hopefully soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Really enjoyed our stay here! Jerry & Nikki are great! Super nice and really accommodating! Showers, bathrooms and grounds are clean & nicely cared for. Pool area & playgrounds were fun for our family. The store was good & not overly priced. Camp wood & ice available makes it convenient for campers. We stayed in a tent & happy with our site. We will definitely be back to stay! Thanks for a wonderful experience camping!

We stayed 1 night on a quick stopover. The camp ground is clean and well maintained. The owners were helpful and led us to our site. There is a pool, laundry, and showers. Great value for the money. We would stay again.
