Hank's Tavern

Friends in town recommended highly recommend checking out Hank's Tavern and even that didn't do it justice!

I walked into a super clean and great ambience place. Not too loud, not too quiet. Comfortable seating. Friendly waitress came and got me started very quickly and the menu is on a tablet they bring and gives great, full descriptions and pictures of menu items.

And about those menu items.... they have a 50/50 burger patty option....hslf beef and half... you guessed it: BACON!

I got the 50/50 burger with extra crispy fries and a side of bbq sauce. So amazingly good and at a very reasonable price!

I will be back!

Had the Patty Melt, Onion Rings and Meat Balls as an APP. Everything was delicious and the service was great!

What a great place to eat! There are always great options for various styles of food and fare. The staff are always well prepared and friendly. It's nice to see a locally-owned and operated business that is well-supported and does such a wonderful job. Keep up the great job and we can't wait to go back!

Hank’s Tavern quickly became one of our favorite local restaurants! The customer service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is very cozy and upbeat. Food and drinks were great, and having to be gluten free, I was very thankful with the variety of GF options they had on a dedicated gluten free menu. They even had a gluten free dessert—a GF chocolate lava cake—that was amazing. We will definitely be returning to Hank’s soon.

Great variety of food offerings, including gluten friendly options. I enjoyed the GF fish tacos, served with refried beans and rice. I'm definitely going back!

Great menu with lots of choices. Drink specials were good but maybe consider adding some local craft! Reasonable priced meals.

One of my favorite places to eat lunch or dinner. These guys can cook sandwiches, steaks, seafood, make awesome cocktails, and the atmosphere eating In is always great. New outdoor patio area is nice too.

Awesome burgers! The meat itself tasted great. Fries and onion rings, better than most places I've ever been to. The space is a bit tight but the food was awesome!

Outstanding! I would highly recommend the mushrooms and onion rings to start. Hand breaded and absolutely delicious. The Memphis burger is hands down the best burger with pulled pork I've ever had. Messy (in a good way), full of flavor, and cooked to perfection.

The best skillet fries, best Cajun pork and the most amazing garlic parm sauce! Bought a quart of the sauce because it is the best thing I have ever tasted!

Good food and we’ve had consistent service nice change from all the chain places which we try to avoid. Recently I had the grilled chicken bacon wrap which I recommend, the meatball appetizer is great but ask for garlic bread with it and I also like the carnita tacos. They have a lot of tv’s for sports and a full bar.

I went with a friend and we split three appetizers: the fried mushrooms with ranch, the loaded fries (cheese, bacon, green onions) and shrimp nachos!

All three were very delicious and served in generous portions! We are outside in the patio area and it was very nice!

The server brought me a sample of beer before ordering which I appreciated, and ended up ordering something else so good thing I tried the sample! Lol

Went to lunch with an old college buddy here! We talked for hours and the staff was super polite and helpful. It was a wonderful time! Great food and drinks too!

Pretty good and busy place! I had a blackjack martini that was delish and a cute dish called "picnic on a plate" I think that was good. Potato salad and baked beans were homemade I think and delicious!! "Godfather balls" were good too, just needed pasta to add them too lol! If I'm in the area again I'll definitely go back to try more!!

This restaurant is in a bit of an odd place for how classy it is inside, I was shocked by how nice it was. The fajita salad was excellent and the prices are reasonable. It was pretty busy, but the staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Hank’s Tavern is an amazing place to have a few breakfast cocktails on the weekend while everyone is still sleeping or for brunch. Additionally, the food is phenomenal and abundant. So many great options to choose from with different flavor profiles. I most definitely recommend stopping in at Hank’s even if it’s just to sit by the welcoming fireplace and have a 1 to 10 drinks (drink responsibly) or fill your belly up with some delicious food.

Had a 5 day trip from metro Detroit to muskegon with the family. Meals weren't great but Hanks Tavern was our saving grace the last night there. My wife and daughter each got the surf n turf (only complaint was the lettuce was too wet), my oldest son got a custom burger he loved and I got the Hanks Orginal (pictured here) and it was so flavorful.
The prices were very affordable, especially compared to other restaurants that weren't even half way good.
The service was top notch and seating both inside and out seemed good.
We go to Muskegon every year and Hanks will be a must go for us (as is Handsome Hobo).

Definitely will return. We enjoyed the staff, the space, and the time with our friends. The food was delicious and the prices were fair.

Friday evening 5.30ish, no wait! We sat by the fire in a booth. Food was hot and delicious. Our server, Christy, was attentive & personable!
