Absolutely loved this campground. Very accommodating!! Austin took such great care of us when we arrived we found that the tent site we reserved was not big enough for our tent. He gave us 3 other options that were on the property! Along with that he brought us a fire ring because where we chose it was not actually a site. He also checked back with us twice during out stay to make sure all was well. And have great insite to where we could take our 4 dogs swimming!!! I loved everything about this campground besides of course the resident skunk that came to our site twice at night during our 4 night stay. Luckily we were able to keep the dogs quiet and no one got sprayed.
Bathrooms were cleaned twice daily and were very nice! Hot water to boot!! Trash dumpsters were with in walking distance of sites and the boat ramp was so nice to have to close as we did bring our kayaks. Well done with this park.
While we stayed we hiked Hungarian falls which is about 15 minutes away. Must see!! And drive to copper harbor. The area is beautiful and Red Dog Adventures will be back!!

Beautiful campground. RV and tent. RV spots are between $30 and $40, depending on how close to the waters edge. Some RV spots are a little close. Only one bathhouse.

Campground was quiet, clean, sites surrounded by a lot of trees and shrubs so there was separation from the neighbors. Some sites were very secluded. Right on the water, so nice views and easy boat access. Bathrooms were upgraded with a fully accessible shower area.

Clean campground. Restrooms/showers were very clean. Our site was roomy and shady for tent camping. We stayed on tent 2, and would do it again! The beach is within walking distance. Great cell phone reception. Planning a vacation for next year with our camper :)

My husband and I had our FIRST camping experience with our Sylvan Sport Go at the Hancock Campground for five nights while our son attended a camp at Michigan Tech. We had a WONDERFUL experience! The campground was beautiful and the water was super accessible for our kayaks. The bathrooms were clean, it was quiet and peaceful, and being able to walk over to the beach and ice cream shop was great!

Our campsite was very close to the camp hosts (site 37), Harry and Shelly. Shelly was amazing!! She was so friendly and helpful, always checking in on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves, but also giving us our space. We felt so good about leaving our things when we went to hike in Presque Isle, knowing Shelly and Harry would keep watch.

I highly recommend this campground! I wish we lived closer so we could visit more often (we drove about eight hours).

Nicely run municipal campground. Very clean grounds and washrooms. We came in near the end of the day and the lady at the office accommodated us without any issue. Our site was open with no shade, close to the office and playground. It was level and had power and water hookups.
Some noise from the road but no big deal. Good paved roads throughout, boat launch, dock and easy water access. There are some very nice spots here, some of the tenting sites are very private and the serviced sites are not jammed together
I’d certainly stay here again now that I know the area a bit and do some exploring.

Not a hotel - campground with lots of amenities. Beach and playground access, convenient location, well laid out and decent sized sites for tents and RVs/campers. Bathrooms are pretty good with showers and electric. Paved road inside the campground.

We camped at the campground here. Staff was super friendly. I made reservations online so we got a lakeview site near the dock, unfortunately it was mostly blocked by a giant RV. The sites are clean and well kept with electricity. Water was available at a few of the sites, we were allowed to fill from a designated site. There is a walking path along the lake we walked twice with our dog, it was really nice and flat. Bathrooms were clean. This is a great stopping spot for the Keweenaw as you make your way out. Head east to Torch Lake for some ruins and Barge #2 before you leave the peninsula.

A lot more privacy than expected at the campsite. The road is a narrow one way, watch out for pedestrians.

Loved my time. Good spots could use a little more tree cover between them. Such a good time though and close to the beach.

I've camped here a few times. Some of the camping sites are well hidden, some not so much. Morning fog can be so thick you can get lost in it!

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay in one of the tent sites! Check in was smooth and super friendly, the bathrooms and showers are extremely clean (although sometimes have very wet floors), and the tent sites are nicely spread out and decently secluded. I didn’t realize that the tent sites were non-electric when I booked, but we were prepared! The rocky ground did make staking our tent in a little difficult, but since we were surrounded by trees our tent wasn’t affected by the 2 storms over the weekend.
My husband and I will absolutely camp here again in the future!!

This is a great place to take the family. They offer so much more than just swimming. There’s paddle boards and kayaks for rent, volleyball courts, play area/gym equipment, concession stand. A little bit of something for everybody here!

Very spacious and clean sites. Our site #6 has 30amp electric and water. All RV sites have electric but not water, which is strange. No septic at any sites, but there is a dump station on the way out. Several sites right on the water. Clean bathrooms. No pool, but there is a nice swimming beach. No road noise. Only 1 washer and 1 dryer, but that is all I needed. Close to Quincy Mine, I would highly recommend the underground tour. Worth every penny.

A top camping spot in the Houghton/Hancock area. Great secluded campsites, clean bathrooms, and easy lake access!

Campground was clean and well kept. The campsite had been raked to remove larger rocks. There were many people with pets and children but none were intrusive or loud even in the evenings. Checking in was fast and easy. The showers and bathrooms were in good condition.

There were also many things to do in the area, from good restaurants to great nature sites or museums. I will be coming back again.

We camped on a site right on the water, it was gorgeous! There are many beautiful and secluded tent sites also. Great location.
