Laskos Restaurant

Not from the area and didn’t do any research ahead of time as we had just arrived in town & happened to be passing by at lunchtime. As others mentioned the plaza it’s located in looks a bit dicey and largely unoccupied, but there were so many cars by the diner we took that as a good sign. Turned out to be a nice understated diner with very reasonable prices & very good food! Hubby had the fried chicken salad, which was huge, and I had the homemade corned beef hash (which includes onions & peppers) which was surprisingly big also. Both were really delicious!! Waitresses efficient & friendly also, 5 stars for sure!

Great service, super friendly. Quick service. I showed up at 6:45 am. And then said they didn’t open until 7 am on Google. But it was and several people were there. Needed breakfast before our boiler install

We stopped by Laskos for lunch on our way through town. We had a positive experience all around! The wait staff were all attentive and kind. My husband ordered a breakfast platter and I got the "House Delight" corned beef sandwich, with fries. Everything was delicious! (We both especially loved the fries.) The place was also clean and kept up well. (And the bathroom was clean, too!) We'd definitely recommend stopping by if you want a good breakfast or lunch!

This place has a feel good ma and pa diner. I got the Ruben and fries, huge and tasty. He got lasko's burger and chili cheese fries. It was delicious. We had leftovers. I liked the atmosphere. We're trying breakfast next.

Food was perfect--they killed it no questions asked. Breakfast ALL day, that adds a star on my book... The service was on point 💥 5 stars **extra bonus points bc they butter your toast so it comes out melted and delicious 😋--Tori was out server and she was 💯 all the way around!!
Outdoor seating and indoor. Get here early bc it does fill up!
Anyone in the Midland area you gotta check it out, you won't be disappointed!!!!!

This was our first time here, finding it as a recommended breakfast stop in the AirBnB visitor journal where we were staying (The Eagles Nest).

We received a warm greeting upon walking in, and despite a full parking lot, we got a booth immediately.

Our waitress was friendly and prompt with drink refills. Other waitresses were friendly, too, giving the overall impression of a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

The food arrived quickly and was delicious. I had a plain Belgium waffle w/pecans and a side of bacon. Oh the smell of that bacon!! To die for!

This place is a nice little gem to visit if you're in the area, and I'll be sure to mention it as well in our AirBnB journal.

Amazing breakfast! First time eating here. You can tell that it's more than just a restaurant in Midland. It is a Midland Institution that telhe locals love and for good reason.

I tried the Greek Omelet. My husband got the skillet with a scrambled egg. The cinnamon raisin toast was the perfect texture. The coffee was good, and the service was great! When we visit town again, this will be our breakfast spot for sure.

I have never been in to your restaurant. My Dad goes there a lot in the mornings. He usually gets coffee and visits with the owners. He says good things about your restaurant. Thank you for making my dad feel welcome. You get all 5 gold stars in my book. Next time he comes in, tell him his oldest son from Oklahoma says good morning. It will surprise him. Thank you for all you do and keep up the good work.

Very accommodating staff, the food is great and the atmosphere is friendly. I couldn't be happier.

Another good find thanks to fellow reviews. We stopped in here on the way home from up north. It was jammed, but we got a seat after a short wait.

The food was very good and arrived hot. They have a large selection of different flavored pancakes. The banana pancakes were excellent. The portions were large. We took home enough for another day. The service was great as well. The coffee cup wasn't empty once and came around to see how everything was.

If you are in the area, it is worth stopping in.

Great breakfast spot! If you want any staple breakfast in huge portions then this place will really take care of you. Fast service and great food!

Visited here for breakfast this past weekend and it was delish, came 2 days in a row!! Was seated quickly even tho they are busy! I enjoyed the Farmers skillet, and pancakes, the next day I tried the waffle, everything was tasty, especially the cinnamon raisin bread! The staff is nice and friendly! Prices are good, Bathrooms clean ... That's always a plus. I will definitely return in the future when I visit the Midland area again!

Having enjoyed Laskos in Bay City, my girl and I stopped here while in town to pay a speeding ticket... it put that farce out of mind! It encapsulates the ‘diner’ experience. I ordered a cheeseburger and she choose a gyro. Both were delicious along with the side order of fries (crispy the way I always ask special for). The service was friendly and very fast... we had our food in five minutes. The view along the glass window wall was nice and sunny on this brisk winter late morning. We left full and satisfied. Laskos in our ‘goto’ for breakfast and lunch whenever we’re in Midland.

A great find! My husband said it was one of the best Rubens he has ever had and my turkey club was delicious with an addition of bacon. We’ll be back!

Glad we went. Great service. Great food. Great prices. Definitely will go back next time we are in Midland. Small place but we had no wait for seating, ordering, or service. Food was fast and hot.

Stopped here last minute (2:40) and even though they closed at 3 they were super gracious. Food was excellent, atmosphere was clean and nice and service was superb! Plus only 5 minutes to dow gardens.
