Muskegon Lakeshore Trail

This is an excellent trail that we really enjoyed walking. It goes right along the water, we saw some wildlife, met plenty of friendly people along the trail. It was clean and clear, and properly cared for.

Update: the new work done on the trail is BEAUTIFUL near the ruddiman creek portion. The wildlife and flowers are lovely and the path is clean and wide.

Great trail, well maintained, lots of different views. There's access all along the trail with multiple parking lots to use (not specifically for the trail) In some areas there are sitting pagodas, benches and trash cans and easy access for fishing on some of the lookout decks.

A gorgeous place to walk or ride a bike!

I love the bike trail....can't wait until they finish the rebuild.

I love walking this part of the trail. I especially love all the sitting benches along the way. Perfect for watching the sunset.

What a beautiful day it was!! Pictures don't do it justice

Coming from downtown Muskegon, it was not obvious to me how to catch the trail towards Pere Marquette as there was not much signage. Part of the trail is currently a construction site for Adelaide condominiums and you cannot get through by sticking to the lakeshore. Instead at W. Western Avenue by Cole's Quality Foods and Fricano's Lake, there is a No Outlet sign and about 1/4 mile that you just run on this road. At the end there is a narrow entry to continue on the lakeshore path which continues for several miles and is definitely worth checking out!

Doesn't matter what day, time. Always something worth seeing on the trail.

Starting from the Pete Marquette Park and riding up to Dalton was a treat. The trail started out a little rough but so many scenic views along the way.
The First Lutheran Church on N. Whitehall Rd. Is a cycle friendly stop.

I fish just off the trail i always have a good time and catch quite a few bluegill ive cought good bass and catfish also.
Its well kept and rather clean. Nice scenery.

Beautiful board walk that leads to parks and beaches, also saw lots of nature/wildlife on the way
