By far the best dentist I have ever had. They are always friendly and when I had a painful toothache they worked around their busy schedule to make my terrible day a lot better. Highly recommend

I have always been terrified of the dentist and getting work done. Dr. Pete is amazing and actually cares about his paitents. He is the best dentist ever! He also tries to do everything right the first time so you are not paying to fix the same tooth over and over.

I can't say enough about Dr Pete.... friendly, the very highest ethics, civic minded and an extremely effective dentist. I had an estimate of $30,000 from another dentist to repair years of teeth grinding, including extraction of all bottom teeth, and Dr. Pete restored me quickly, without any extractions, at a tiny fraction of that cost.... fabulous! It doesn't get any better than this.

Staff is great, in an unusually friendly environment.

The best staff and environment.
Had a dental emergency and was able to get in the same day I called. The staff is very willing to work with me on appointments and billing. The environment is very calming and quiet.

Both Dr. Chad Isken and Dr. Hehli kind and compassionate in getting my tooth pain resolved.

I cant thank Dr Pete and his staff enough. He helped me yesterday in an emergency and even took time today to call me and see how I was doing.
I have a fear of dentists but this place makes it easy for me.

Walk in you're greeted with a tranquil atmosphere like no other. Northstar's fishtank (sound are so relaxing-fish are so cute baby ones big ones and it's so clean!!!!) is the tip of the iceberg that makes you so relaxed!!!!
Then you are greeted by friendly knowledge and helpful front staff.
Once your called back that friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and empathetic staff just keeps going to guidecyou through getting your dental health where it needs to be.
I am well aware of this. Trust me. I love NORTHSTAR DENTAL THANKS. To all there!!!

I would truly not recommend the Appleton office. After my dentist retired I was looking for a new dentist and my boss recommend Northstar Dental Group. After chipping a tooth I made my first appointment. They decided the best thing to do was to put a crown on the tooth. After I left that appointment I noticed that I was starting to get a bruise on the side of my face that the dental work was done. I have never had that happen before. With the new crown on, my mouth guard for TMJ no longer fit. I had made a couple of appointments requesting to be fitted for a new mouth guard since mine was 20 years old. I ended up having 4 appointments and still no fitting for a new mouth guard. The filed my current mouth guard down so it would fit better with the new crown. This is helping it fit a little better but not the tight fit that is needed.
My sixth appointment was because I lost a filling. I thought I would give them another chance. That was a big mistake. Again they said that I needed to have a crown on the tooth instead of replacing the filling. I'm not saying that a crown is/wasn't the correct choice but it just appears that the two times I needed dental work, both times they indicated that I need a crown. I mentioned to them both times that I don't get my mouth frozen because I have a reaction to the medicine that is used. The dental assistant did not listen, and before I knew it she was putting numbing gel on the area that they were going to be working on. It took over 12 hours for the numbing gel to wear off and I had a reaction in my mouth from it. (sores are all over my mouth in that area). The temporary crown that they put on lasted less than 3 hours before it came off. My side of my face is bruised again in the area that they worked on (second time for that to happen). During the time he was working on the tooth my jaw was not holding up very well when he was working on it, and I asked for a time-out to rest my jaw. I had to ask for the time-out 3 times before I was granted a 30 second time-out to relax it. My jaw is now locked up and I need to go and have therapy on it to try and unlock it. This will cost me roughly another $4,000 in therapy bills to get my jaw unlocked.
When I was done with them putting on the temporary crown I was asked to pay up front and no payment options were available. Even though the website indicates that payment options are available. I was also asked to pay more than what the insurance company indicated my responsibility was. I showed them the letter from the insurance company and they indicated that they would adjust but when I got the paperwork with the payment that I just made it shows that I still owe them over $400 . I also received a phone call indicating to make sure I bring the rest on the money that I owe when I come back in for the final crown. According to the insurance company I don't owe them any additional money.
Could not be more disappointed. They need to learn to listen to the patients,. I used to love going to the dentist. After what I experienced I can not longer say that.

I have had my dentures for 4 years now. The doctor refused to a dress my cross bite 3 times and I was harassed by one of the dental assistants so I stopped going, i recently went back in for a consult and brought up that my bite was horribly off again. Once again Dr Pete Hailey refused to aknowlege the problem. Due to his neglegence I am experiencing speech problems and TMJ and he still refuses to address the problem. NEVER GO HERE that refuse to properly take care of their patients and neglect problems that can totally alter someone's life.

They violated HIPAA policy with me. Very bad deal!
