Average Jo's Bar & Grill

A nice tavern in downtown Blue Earth. The food was hot, and burgers were juicy. Service was very quick. We showed up at lunch time and didn't have to wait for a table. And of course, the beers were very cold!

Average Jo's is a typical sports bar with good food, service, and drinks.

The place is clean including the bathrooms.

The menu has typical bar food. The food is prepared correctly and tasted good. Much of the menu is either flat top grilled or oil fried.

Beverages are good with a decent bloody mary.

Ok, I haven't been to this place in a long while. Thru have new owners I found out, so we decided to give one more try. Our least experience wasn't good to say the least. I am pleasantly surprised! We absolutely enjoyed ourselves this time. Excellent food. I had the old 16 burger and homemade chips. My wife had the regular cheese burger and chips. We also got an appetizer of onion rings. The burgers were sooo good! The onion rings were perfect. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food. Thank you making the improvements to the food and the awesome wait staff. We had a great time. Without a doubt we will be back (a lot).

Food was delicious! Burgers were hot and juicy, fries were crisp and on point. Establishment was spacious and clean. Employee was very nice. Only thing that was a downfall for attention to detail was the mustard container lid was nasty (turn off for me to use)

We had Deb's retirement party there and the service was the best, prices were good as well. It worked out very well, highly recommend!

Two thumbs up!! Visiting Blue Earth from out of town, I'm glad we chose Average Joe's for lunch! The chicken caesar salad was delicious and the traditional wings (buffalo & garlic parmesan) were full of flavor! Will most definitely visit again!! 🥗🍖🍗🤩

If you are ever visiting Blue Earth Minnesota....visiting Average Jo's should be a must. We have 3 different kinds of Pizza, Cod and French Fries and Garlic Parm wings. The staff was amazing.....A must have.....

Stopped in on our way home from vacation, but my spouse grew up in the area and we hadn't been here since they changed from Double Play. It feels nice and updated, open and not packed in. We had two pizzas which were awesome. Server was very kind and helped us right away since the kitchen was closing early (likely staffing, which is understandable). We had 4 small children with and aside from the 1.5 year old having a meltdown, it all went really well. Food was hot, beer was cold. We were happy and will definitely be back when are back in the area.

Stopped in on our cross country road trip after seeing the Jolly Green Giant. The locals and bartender were so friendly and welcoming! Our favorite spot on our trip for sure!

A beacon of light in an otherwise drab world. Drove for miles before we found this gem. Smiles all around.

Food was great, customer service was great! We love this place!

Pizza: most delicious fresh. Reheats great
Crust- Thin, soft and slight crisp on the bottom
Sauce- savory and not excessive
Cheese- SO GOOD, LOTS OF IT
Cheese pull- arm length 10/10

Wings: best wings I've had in a while!
Meat- I enjoyed the meat quality on these wings they weren't skimpy at all!
Skin- cripsy 👍 and a nice roasty color
Sauce- SAUCY buffalo and sweet tai were both amazing

Flavor- ranchy
Texture- that Gooooood runny ranch 10/10

Today was our first time at Average Joe's.
We were not disappointed.
We had breakfast.
Very, very good food.
Pancakes were out of this world and the coffee was great!
I also had some cabbage and ham soup to go. Delicious!!
Nice friendly environment and our waitress was sweet.
I highly recommend Average Joe's.

Cauliflower crust pizza is so good here. It will get my vote every time. Our server was very good. We ate outside on their patio that is well done and kept clean and neat.

First visit, easy parking - wait staff were quick and friendly. Bathroom was clean. Forgot to photo my meal, I was hungry and it looked great. This is my new "go to" place in Blue Earth. Sweet

First time there and the food was excellent! Staff is very friendly. I recommend the pretzel sticks and cheese curds, along with the soft shell tacos! 🤤

1st timer. Fresh ground beef for the burgers. Was excellent! Also the chips had delicious seasonings. Great coffee. Great service so tipped generously.
