Travelodge by Wyndham Ogallala

No real complaints. It is a very basic hotel, but for the price you can’t beat it, and it is right off the interstate! You could hear a little noise from the floor above but not terrible. Also the staff couldn’t be reached at check out time and everyone was just piling their room keys on the front desk.

With all that being said, the bed was fantastic. It wasn’t one of those soft beds where you wake up with back problems, it was actually firm enough to sleep on and not sink into its depths. My room was clean, and the hot water worked. It had all the necessary amenities as well to include decaf coffee and a little one cup coffee maker. It also had soap and shampoo which was awesome. The worker that checked me in was helpful and friendly as well. My car was safe and nothing bad happened. It was also close to a nature trail.

Again, great place, especially for the price. It is close to Casey’s and Walmart as well. For the price it is great!

Not a bad place for $50 bucks. It's actually one of the better cleaner hotels we have stayed, and we travel 5-6 times a year. The rooms are clean and cozy. The atmosphere is quite and relaxing even being off the interstate.
There tons of restaurants and a few gas stations within walking distance.
The parking is great.
The staff is wonderful. very friendly and family oriented. We are definitely staying here again on our way back through.

A lifesaver and a little hidden gem. Stayed here traveling for business and had about a 30 hour drive prior. Crazy drive as well , so much chaos and these girls were very welcoming .Dealt with possibly the worst customer service EVER trying to check in elsewhere and decided to cancel and come here instead. THANK GOD!The girls at the desk for check in were AWESOME! So polite , friendly, nice , and informative. Appreciate the helpful tips on the area and the professionalism that seems to have lost its place in this world these days . So thanks again , GIVE THESE GIRLS A RAISE!

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Beds were clean and comfy. During our trip across country, we actually hit a racoon. And when we came to the hotel to rest for the night and look over the damages, one of the staff members offered to help us patch up our car so we could keep going! It's people like that, that makes me want to recommend a place.

My wife and I stayed here along our route cross country, and it was by far our favorite stop. The staff were lovely: friendly and helpful, and considerate to our needs—including going above and beyond to ensure our comfort was a priority. The room itself was the best we had for the price, and it included an exercise room which wasn’t available at any other of our “economy” stays.
10/10 would stay here again.

Late night check in but still super friendly hosts. The room was clean, bed comfortable, everything in working order, amenities nice (Matrix shampoo and conditioner and a lovely smelling soap). If I had one complaint it would be that the interior corridors got very noisy in the morning, especially housekeeping yelling back and forth later in the morning - but we have experienced that in many places. Would definitely stay again!

Alicia at the front desk was very nice. She gave us great rooms. The rooms were clean and No bedbugs! My grandson loved the sweet tea they made every day. And had fun in the pool Everyone there was working hard.

Penny did a great job accommodating us. We got placed I'm a single room at first even though our reservation was for the suite. There were some confusion about the booking and the rooms were double booked but she still got us space even with the hotel being completely booked. After the first night she was able to get us into the suite. Tammie cleaned the suite before we got in and it was really clean. She even checked in on us. All around, very accommodating. The suite was much nicer than our first room but we made it work and the second night is going to be perfect for what out family needs. Thank you for all the assistance and we really liked the suite accommodation. It was exactly what we were looking for. Grateful for the kind service and getting us into our room the second night. Be kind to the employees, you can see they are doing everything they can to accommodate their guests from what I saw.

The staff person was really nice, he upgraded my room for free. The room was very clean and smelled nice and fresh. It’s also such a convenient location for those just driving through, as it’s right off the highway and next to a gas station and McDonalds. Plus the parking lot is well lit so you can feel safe about leaving your car with your belongings overnight. Highly recommend, great value!

Our stay here has been amazing! The manager, Joey is always helpful, willing to answer your questions and make your stay the best it can be! Melanie is one of the best housekeepers I have ever met...the rooms are top notch clean, smell great and the linens are so fresh! I would recommend this location to all of my friends and family!

Very nice. The young man at the front desk was super friendly. Ground floor right to our door. Best night sleep. Bed was way comfortable. Turned on the heat that made a burning smell. I took care of it with my essential oils. No big deal.

It is in a great location, with room for pups to romp, close to convenience stores and great food. The pool was really cool. The staff was kind, helpful, accommodating. It smelled very clean.

Next time in Ogallala, I will stay here again.

One of the best hotels I have stayed at while traveling and for a great price. They have a nature trail and it was quiet all night long. If I have any complaints it was that the a/c did not work properly (got the room cool but not to the temperature it was set at). I will be staying here again in the future.

The staff was over the top accommodating for us. We got there at 8am after a long night on road with no sleep due to a transmission going out. They had the maid clean a room right away for us and got us in at 8:30am . We rested and found a local place to keep the boat we were hauling to California. This whole town was amazing in helping us. The room was very clean, shower was hot, and the queen bed was comfortable.

The guy upfront was super nice and upgraded my room to a king. It was super clean, bed was hella comfy and they had the heater already running so it was nice and warm when I walked in. Totally accepting of dogs and cheap. You get a great room at a cheap price. Only complaint was the remote to the tv was finicky.

Room was clean. Housekeeping left a personalized note which made us feel like we mattered. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Apparently they do not serve breakfast though

Charming, old-school room with a coffee maker, fridge and microwave. Ours was immaculately clean. The lady at the front desk was lovely, masks were required in the lobby, and there was a nice little hiking trail behind the building! The prints in the snow suggested that there were a ton of rabbits around, so my dog wore herself down sniffing around. Great value, not fancy, but perfect for the road-weary traveler.

For being cheap the front desk was awesome let us check in 3 hours early. Room was clean and smelled good. Bed was comfy as it could be for a tall guy. Shower was very hot and lasted for ever........ this is better than some hotels that I have paid over $100 for.....

Edit: I am sad to say that on our stay last month, the pancake machine was gone, as were the fresh eggs. The nice young man at the counter said they wore working on getting them back, but if that's your reason for going, you should call first to double-check their breakfast options. Nice, clean, quiet room. Breakfast was great. The cook and Hostess, Tara, was super efficient and friendly. Eggs were real eggs and not powdered! The pancake machine was the most fun thing I have seen in a long time. You can watch your pancakes being made! There is a 1-mile exercise and pet walk, but we didn't take it because it's really cold today. Will definitely stay here again!

The room we had was clean. The staff set up the rollaway bed for us before we got there, so we didn't have to to wait. In the morning, we were hoping to get on the road early and the front desk person got breakfast going about 15 minutes before it was scheduled to open. Breakfast was good (tho I wish the coffee were stronger!). The decor in the lobby was neat. I'd stay there again next time we go west to visit the grandparents, that's for sure. Maybe we will get there with time to try the pools and walking trail next time.
