El Paso Bar & Grill

So as you all may know, Dorian and I are so very desperate to get out of the city. Every weekend, we venture in another direction in search of that special place. While I truly want to tell you this is the worst place ever and to stay far far away, I simply can't be that selfish! As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, I felt at home. We didn't take the bike out this weekend because of the weather, but... As soon as we stepped out of the truck.... silence... absolute silence. No traffic, no sirens, nothing.. the magnificent sound of peace. Since we weren't on the bike, I had myself a cocktail. Vodka and 7up.. $3 freaking dollars!! It was mixed perfectly. Dorian had a mountain dew ( grooosssss 🤭, he loves the stuff, me, not a fan). Obviously, we started with the cheese curds! They were cooked perfectly, the batter was so interesting, in the best kind of way.... Dorian got the California Bacon Burger and I just a California. We got fries and onion rings to share. Ladies and Gents, that burger seriously was the best dang burger I've ever had.. We're talking better than Grandpa's, better than Dad's, better than my own! Holy Hannah, again, the seasoning was so interesting. I can't put my finger on it, but both the cheese curds and burger had that same interesting flavor! Dorian destroyed his... I brought half my burger home, only because I was a dork and just about vacuumed those cheese curds down. I swear to goodness; this was one of the best meals I think I've ever had. Simple, easy, no nonsense! Simple great flavor with a wonderful host! And all for under $40!! I'm sorry I didn't get pictures of the OR and fries, but my phone died.
Like I said at the beginning I really do want to tell everyone this was the worst place ever...just so we can keep it for ourselves, but the lovely lady at El Paso Bar and Grill deserve for you all to hear the truth.. it's fantastic! A+ all around.
We will most certainly be coming back! El Paso days here we come! Let's hope a nice property is discovered, and we can become full-time residents.

my wife and i love stopping at new placed that we have never been to and El Paso bar and grill came into my focus. We drove from Amery Wi to check the place out, when we walked in we were greeted by the bartender. the atmosphere matched its name, it was great. the Bloody Marys received 5 stars. Burgers were the best i had and the prices were fantastic. we are planning on going back and also planning on attending El Paso days the 3 weekend of August as suggested by the bartender.

This is a nice spot for a burger and a beer. The place is in the basement and reminds me of a little dive bar.

The appetizers were quite good. The jalapeno poppers are real jalapenos, cream cheese and breding, not the ones with fake nacho cheese. The curds are lightly battered and absolutely delicious.

The burgers are juicy, seasoned well, and come in 1/4 or 1/2 pound. The bacon cheese was excellent and the California burger was as well.

The bear was cold and delicious. The bartender was polite and friendly. She seemed to know when I needed another beer and was quick to get us anything we needed.

I was surprised when I got my bill. I got a lot of food and drinks for my money. I highly recommend this place.

Got a fish dinner and wow was it ever good. Battered and fried perfectly! Coleslaw was probably among the best I've ever had. Mashed red potaotes with gravy too! Serving size was massive. For a tiny little town bar this place knocks it out of the park.

Recently been going here a lot. When I say this is the best food I’ve ever had, I mean it. Each meal exceeds the last. Most Michelin star chefs couldn’t produce the kind of food they produce. Amazing company and service.

Love the food here! Very reasonably priced food. Nice atmosphere & staff. Portions are very generous. Excellent Ribs on Thursdays, & Steaks Friday that can't be beat! So delicious 😋

This is one of the best small bars that serve delicious food! My favorite is their shrimp salad. Next would be the Wednesday night Fish dinner and breakfast served on the weekend will fill you up! Not to mention the "sassy" fun people who work there! I highly recommend a stopping there

I was surprised about the quality of food here- the shrimp are amazing, jumbo sized-butterfly deveined, the mushrooms for the steak topping were fresh, not canned. The steak had great seasoning, high quality cuts- great Friday special!!!

Hadn't been here in a few years but it was just as good if not better than I remembered!!! Had the ribs special and OMG were they delicious!!!! 👏👏👏👏

This is by far my absolute favorite place to eat. Could eat the special every single night. Ribs and steaks are by far the best around.

El Paso is the way bar and grills are meant to be - great food and not a lot of expensive frills. Their fried cheese curds are the best that I've ever eaten, and everything else was very good too.

Stopped in for a snowmobile breakfast. Very tasty! Eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns—perfect fuel for a long ride through the snow.

1st time there was amazed at the walleye dinner they put in front of me. Was like a fancy restaurant meal without the spendy price. Very humorous waitress

Small-town prices;
Friendly, no-frills service;
All this, and more, in a cozy basement barroom featuring a mix of locals, sportsmen & travellers of all stripes. Don't let the motorcycles, 4x4s, farm trucks, hot rods, tractors, OHVs, and 4-wheelers or snowmobiles in the lot scare you off. Put on a smile and head down the stairs like you belong and before long, you will.
Hipsters, please get your New Glarus at a gas station and take it home.
Fishermen, please remove your waders outside.

Had breakfast there because they have the best breakfast for the price. If you go there for breakfast come hungry. Trust me when I say that.

The food was excellent and the server did a great job. He was very friendly and checked on us frequently. Very good bloody marys too!

A friendly atmosphere and fantastic food makes this hidden gem worth the trip and a "must return to " destination!
