The prime rib was cooked perfectly and had a very tasty black pepper crust that added a nice kick to this flavor experience!! The sides buffet had many options to choose from, but I only needed the saute au jus and horse radish to complete this dish!! The service was very good, and I really appreciated the small conversations with the waitress had with us. The atmosphere was a very classic small-town steakhouse feel! It was very welcoming!! I will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to anyone that I know!!

Ordered the chicken fried chicken, and it was ok, The mashed potatoes didn't have hardly any flavor.. The breading on the chicken looked and tasted like it was from a prepared box,

One of the best prime rib dinners in the area and it is priced more than fair. When I lived in St Libory, we would drive right past Grand Island and go to the Plainsman for prime rib.

Prime rib buffet is very good. Very tender and tasty! However, you can have any cut of steak that is on the menu.

Beyond the fantastic meal, the friendly conversations with fellow diners turned the evening into a welcoming social affair. No doubt, stopping in was a decision well-made and savored.

Tried the Sunday brunch when out of town. Always able to accommodate our large group. Food was fresh and hot not to mention delicious!

All my food was good, the filet was downright amazing. A truly great steak at a very good price. I will be coming back here anytime I am in the area.

Great food and service the only reason I gave it a 4 for atmosphere is I have sensitive hearing and when busy it was a little too much for me but that's a me problem if you don't have heating issues you'll be fine. Will definitely be back my uncle had a chicken fried steak and I need to try it.

Good Midwestern steak & potato fare! The filet mignon was tender & cooked to perfection. The salad bar was so fresh with delish selections. Family friendly for all ages. We are from Des Moines & felt right at home!

My husband and I went for the first time and got the prime rib dinner since it came highly recommended by family. It included the salad bar and a selection of warm side dishes plus a large cut of prime rib. Everything was delicious and we took a LOT of prime rib home to enjoy later! The waitress was friendly and attentive.

My family has been coming here for years, since I was 8 or 9 maybe younger(I'm 25 now) great environment and friendly service. Highly recommend the prime rib. Sunday brunch is usually the same every week but it doesn't stop us from coming to enjoy the hot food and salad bar.

Old school atmosphere, old school service, cold beer on tap… Friendly and attentive service, good food for reasonable prices, and CLEAN! Super clean tables, floors, bar, and restroom. They definitely know what “rare” means, and the ribeye was a great cut.

Great food!! The prime rib was on point tonight.. our server was awesome and did a great job and a really good atmosphere as well!!

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Salad bar fresh and cared for. Soup was excellent!! Waitress took good care of us. Our main of course was tasty, hot, and arrived in a timely manner. Restrooms we're clean and well stocked. We were pleased! We found out there are specials during the week. We'll be back!

We love the Plainsman!! Great food, efficient waitresses, great owners. My high school class, and my husband's, get together there every year for a lunch get-together and gab session.
They have a huge party room in the back and it's a great, private, place to meet. Friday nights are their Pan Fried Chicken...you've GOT to try it...it's DELICIOUS.
