Barnacle Bill’s is an amazing experience !The hospitality we received as soon as we walked in was superb. The amazing hostess was able to find us a table after driving an hour for my brothers bday. The outside deck has a beautiful view of the Navesink river, and take a walk inside and the bartenders are making flavorful fresh sangrias. I had the 10 Oz. Hamburger
with Pepper Jack cheese, and it was one of the best I’ve had. We had the crab cake as an appetizer, and it was loaded with crab and great flavor.

Barnacle Bill’s is an absolute staple of the Rumson area and is a must visit. It’s a bar/tavern/grog shop that is somewhat trapped in time but in the absolute best way. It’s dark, loud and crowded but it just feels perfect. Burgers are charbroiled and the steak fries are great. Service is surprisingly good and the people watching is even better. I’m really happy places like this still exist.

Always a great time coming here! The burger wings are fantastic. Really fun place to bring the family!

Anna and I celebrated our 44th Wedding Anniversary at Barnacle Bill's, the nautical ambiance Navesink River waterfront sports bar in Rumson. We both had the same entree, Blackened Mahi Mahi, Rice Pilaf, a side of Cole Slaw, and a Coors Lite. The Mahi Mahi was excellent, with a nice solid texture, cooked to the peak of perfection. Our server, Kristie, was friendly, courteous, and helpful in making our entree decision. Barnacle Bill's is such a joyful place to dine. Their patrons make for a happy, friendly atmosphere that it feels like spending time in a close family gathering.

As always, Barnacle Bill's is extremely popular and ALWAYS crowded with very long wait times. Everything on the menu is delicious and worth what could be a long wait. I drink tonic water with extra limes, and they always provide several. After dinner (or before while waiting for your table), walk to the marina at the end of the parking lot and look for the ospreys' nest at the top of a tall platform in the water.

My wife and I stopped in on Sunday afternoon and of course the place was jam-packed. we were fortunate to get a seat at the bar where we ordered our meals and had the best burgers ever. they say barnacle bills has the best burgers and they sure are right I haven't had a Burger this good in years. great place great Burger

Place is amazing & location even better, can't say enough about that!!! Service wS alittle fast & im a fast person but all and all a Homerun!!! Gets busy!!!! You will c y when u come !!!! Veiws ,outdoor seating and bar are a must try!!!!

Love barnacle bill's! Great service, cocktails and I really only want the delicious burger with cheese sauce! They have an outside eating area now which is great but I am home at the bar watching the burger master make a million delicious looking burgers!

Bustling dinner spot with waterfront view. Lots of diners around us ordered burgers, so maybe we missed out but we enjoyed the shrimp cocktail appetizer, stuffed lobster, and blackened mahi mahi. Portion sizes were reasonable and the service was impeccable (our waitress provided helpful suggestions and followed up throughout our meal). Parking was a bit tight.

The clam dip appetizer is absolutely amazing! Mai Thai dangerously delicious! Burger with cheddar sauce absolutely made to perfection! Waitress was awesome! Just gotta be ready to wait and deal with a crowded space...

My favorite restaurant of all time!! Come here almost every weekend. Absolutely love the burgers (cheddar sauce is to die for). They have amazing steamers, fried zucchini, salads (super big and filled with veggies), mozzerella sticks, cheesesteaks, fried shrimp dinner. Even the penne vodka I have had is delicious. Love the fun bar atmosphere an the wait staff are so friendly. Also highly recommend the tollhouse pie (warm chocolate cookie with icecream and whipped cream) if you save room for dessert.

Had swordfish...mmm, delicious! To me, it seemed quite busy but the family/friends I was with said it was slow. They ran out of a lot of dishes. Father's day was when we were there. Great time!!

Steamers, burgers and fried seafood platter were great. The cheese dipping sauce for the burger is a great combo. Drinks were on point too.

I am 42 and have been going there since the early 80's. I had a great time with good people. Food is great.

My father couldn't stop raving about this place and I can see why. There were about 20 people waiting to get in before opening time and within the next 15 minutes there wasn't a table to be had! Place filled up quickly! I ordered the burger and my father had the crab cake sandwich. Other than the burger being overcooked (totally NOT the waitress's fault; she entered it correctly) it was very tasty and I enjoyed it with the chips versus having it with fries (made it less filling). Great atmosphere and I would love to come back and try the seafood entrees!

I've been going to this place since I was in a highchair. This has to be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I've tried so many items on the menu it would be hard to describe them all. I will recount my recent trip.

Note to Parents: this place is very kid friendly, but doesn't have a kid menu on the website. Dont let that dissuade you.

Service: it can be hit and miss, I would recommend getting there as soon as possible, the place fills quickly. I.E. there are guests waiting in the parking lot when they open. Also this place has food runners that deliver the food. Dont be afraid to ask them if you need service, sometimes when it's packed there more helpful then the waitress.

Drinks: (Alcohol) Barnacle Bill's makes the best Long Island Ice Tea ever made. My belief is they should change the name of the drink to Barnacle Tea, it's that good.
(Non-alcoholic) If Alcohol isn't your thing they make a fresh brewed Ice Tea which is equally amazing.

Appetizer: We always get the zucchini chips with horseradish dipping sauce. You cant stop eating them.

Salad Course: This is generally ala cart, sometimes specials include it. It's a typical house salad with a Marie's style dressing. They do offer main course salads, I have limited experience here. However there side Ceaser is good, I'm guessing the full size is just the same.

Sides: Again ala cart, I get the asparagus with hollandaise sauce. It's good but very rich.

Main Course: I love there scallops and filets but to me there Surf & Turf is the best I've ever had. Full lobster tail presented on shell with a fork tender Filet Mignon.
My partner who is extremely allergic to shellfish always opts for the Filet as well.
Both are served with butter and oyster sauce.

Dessert: we normally are so stuffed we order it to go, I reccomend the NY style cheesecake. A real winner.

Final thoughts: I noticed alot of reviews boasting about there cheddar sauce burger, it's ok but not the reason I come here. To me the best cheddar sauce burger is at the Sitting Duck in Long Branch. To me this place is a Seafood house with equally incredible steaks, I would recommend it for anyone that wants an amazing meal with an informal family friendly atmosphere, solid bar and good views. They used to have free peanuts that you could shell onto the floor while you waited, I've noticed a decline in that practice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

One of the very few places to hit the spot with their dishes and description. I ordered a Lobster and Shrimp Penne a la Vodka along with a strawberry daiquiri and it was superb. For a quick bite or a nice dinner, definitely worth the stop.

The best cheeseburgers you've ever had are here. Smiling and friendly servers and a great atmosphere. Food and drinks are always fresh. Outdoor seating by the river,bar w river view. Casual and delicious.

Awesome spot, they have some gluten free options but you have to ask the staff
