Great Wall Chinese Restaurant

A little hidden gem. I love the selection at this buffet. And they also adopt a no waste goal as far as food. They only put out small amounts at a time that way they don't have to throw away food when it expires. I love that. Everything was very tasty and the staff was very friendly.

It was nice to visit a buffet restaurant after not having one in so long. The decor was simplistic, but nice. Our food was very good. Staff were helpful. Drink was included with the price.

Friendly waitress, excellent selection of dishes all at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend the buffet as it was a pleasant surprise. We will be back!

Always a great choice to eat. They are always on top of keeping the buffet filled. Food is always very good quality. Friendly and inviting atmosphere. Only thing I would change would be adding a senior discount for buffet as grandma does not eat very much.

The food and service are both awesome. I love their chef. definitely will come back again. Recommend dishes: general Tso’s chicken, sesame chicken and kungpao chicken

If you order take out it's always done with in 15-20 minutes

They also accommodate to families with children as well.

When their buffet is busy this place is fantastic. The lo mein has a nice deep flavor and isn’t too wet.

I’m talking like top tier Chinese buffet.

The selection is maybe half, or even less, of other Chinese buffets, but their coconut shrimp actually has, wait for it, SHRIMP in it!

It was so hot I actually had to slow down, negating the speed eating to get as much as I could, but still got two full plates down.

It was $16 for buffet and soda for supper, about 6:15 pm

On the buffet is a sign asking not to take too much, avoiding wasted food and raised prices.
The guys’ bathroom is nothing to write home about, but I don’t come here for the bathroom.

Arrived late on a Sunday and was enthusiastically welcomed. Enjoyed excellent customer service and flavorful food. I really appreciated the family atmosphere and felt the strength of this 20+ year veteran restaurant in small town Wisconsin. Will definitely keep coming back.

First time eating here. It's the classic "hole in the wall restaurant" it's small, pleasant atmosphere and was busy while we were here. Food was hot, delicious, and fresh from the kitchen (cook was keeping buffet full) seating was amble for as busy as this place was. Never saw anyone waiting to be seated. Restaurant staff were all pleasant. Will definitely be back next time I come through Viroqua

I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is always so friendly and the food is always awesome. One of the main reasons we love this place is because on of the manager guys is a huge packer fan!

Everything you'd want in an excellent restaurant:
* there is always a wide variety of delicious and authentic Chinese food offered in the buffet and on the menu;
* everyone works together flawlessly - servers, cooks, and owners - to insure the food is fresh and hot while keeping cleanliness as a top priority;
* the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming yet conducive to meet the needs of a lone diner, two young teens on a first date, or a gathering of friends and family.
I know my comments may sound "glowing", but I have visited the Great Wall Chinese Restaurant in Viroqua, WI since they opened in 1999 with ample opportunity to experience and observe excellence!

I think this is one of the best, most consistent Chinese places in WI. I've found nothing that comes close since leaving Vernon County in 2005. Nothing fancy. Just a good place, run by good people who serve good food.

Great Chinese restaurant! If you need anything just ask! Great customer service. Wonderful family owned business. We go there about once a month maybe. I placed an order for take out and Mr. Zhang remembered exactly what my husband always orders. WOW! That shows us that they really care about customer service. Thanks again for a great experience.
