Rookie's Sports Bar & Grill

We're blessed to have so many great fish fries in the valley but have to say that Rookie's has set the bar pretty darn high! Just enjoyed a phenomenal Fri fish fry at Rookie' s tonight. Packed at 6:30 but only a 20 min wait. Wife got haddock and I got perch. Both delicious and huge portions. Great waitresses, bartenders, and chefs. Thank you guys! Hate to give away this secret but this is the place to be. You guys rock! Thanks again. The best!

First timers after Farmers Market last Saturday. We wanted to dine outside because of the beautiful weather. We went outside to find it was occupied by (friendly) smokers on the other end. They were leaving so decided to stay. (Smoke lingered tho) Would be nice if patio area was Smoke-free. Bartend/waitress was very attentive and sweet. We'll go back again. Seems like a very nice clean neighborhood "CHEERS"
We liked the cozy atmosphere and lower ceilings. patrons were friendly too.

First time we were there. Not disappointed. Had a bloody with a chaser , the bloody was delicious! Ordered pretzel with cheese, mac and cheese bites for apps. And works pizza...everything was awesome. Bar was clean bathrooms clean, a great patio area with chairs tables and fire tables plus a band playing as a bonus. We didn't know what to expect but was won over by the great bartender service, excellent food and great atmosphere...we will be back! Kudos to Rookies!
Update as of 3/2/2023...they hit a home rune again...bloodys were great, tachos were great and had the Supreme pizza...all great...we sat at the bar and got the feeling we were sitting in the "old guy" locals spot, kind of felt eyes on us. I laughed to myself as we were leaving the old guys in waiting jumped at taking back their spot. All good, I just smiled..

Was jam packed. My girlfriend wanted to go for fish,I was reluctant. Bar foods usually blugh. But I was super impressed. The fish was battered and fried to perfection. Our server rocked. But what's up with no malt vinegar. Anyway. Awesome fish fry!

This is our place for Friday fish. As we are retired, we go at noon when it is less crowded. We have even gotten to know some of the other regular customers. My husband thinks this is the best place in town for baked salmon, but we have also tried the pizza and sandwiches as well.

Great fish on Friday and Wednesday nights!

Best dinning experience in well over 4 years and compared to 60+ other restaurants. Service was outstanding. Food was great and inexpensive.

We are looking forward to a return trip soon!

Serves breakfast Saturday and Sunday from 8am til 11am..cheapest breakfast in the Valley! Also have weekly homemade specials and homemade soups! And Fish fry Wendsdays and Fridays... All delivery service and online ordering available

I really enjoyed eating here. A little worried it would've been a dive bar that wasn't drop in lunch friendly, but the staff was extremely friendly.
For any wing fans out there would HIGHLY recommend the maple bacon rub! A sweet smell that reminds you a Sunday morning breakfast! Absolutely delicious! Would definitely return here for the wings!

If you're looking for good food don't pass on Rookie's. Very good selection of beer and sports on every TV. My go to is their traditional wings and beer cheese burger.

I stopped at Rookies upon arrival in Appleton for lunch and was glad I did. The service was prompt and with a smile, The 1/2 lb. Burger was Delish ! It was done to perfection as were the fries I had with it. Very fresh lettuce and tomato too. The patrons I associated with were also warm and friendly. A great place for food and fun.

First let me start off by saying the PHENOMENAL service we received from Candi was top tier!!! She was warm, welcoming and most of all hilarious with an amazing voice during karaoke. She made our first experience at Rookies tremendous!! The wings were amazing and let me not forget to mention the drinks Candi made for my fiancé and I were outstanding!!! Most definitely will be visiting again!! #mandi&randi😊

Best chili ever. Literally my favorite chili. The beer battered fries are also amazing

Really good service and friendly. Fish fry is good, had the combo platter (jumbo shrimp, Haddock, and perch) good portions. Old fashions were excellent.

A great place, we visited and took the shuttle to the packer game for the 3rd time this week and as always everything was perfect and the atmosphere is fantastic…bus is on time and worry free

I am hesitant to give this place 5 stars, not because they haven't earned it, but because I want to be able to get a seat here again. The Friday Fish Fry is BY FAR the BEST in the Fox Valley. I kid you not! Amazing combo with Perch, Haddock and Shrimp. The Bluegill was awesome as well. Excellent portions for the price. The homemade tartar sauce was great. Casey (Dana's daughter) was a great server. Here is a tip...be patient and expect to wait. It is TOTALLY worth it.

I've ordered wings from a dozen or more places. Honestly... this place is the best. Super happy with the quality of food. Defintely ordering from here again... or better yet, stopping in.

Update: after multiple stops, I must confess… still the best wings for miles. Sauces run a little weak, if you’re tolerant of spicy food. So order a step up than you think you’d able to handle. Keep doing your thing, Rookies!

First time there , everyone enjoyed food. Service and prices good. Definitely going back.
