Food was delicious, real homemade corned beef hash. Literally the best sausage gravy ive ever had EVER, cook was funny. Prices were decent. Great place. Absolutely worth the wait. This place may have ruined diners for me in my area. 10/15/2022
A year after our last trip to the area, we stopped in to enjoy the best sausage gravy. Everything is made fresh, literally each plate made for you. Im repeating myself but needs to be repeated. More Dad jokes from Mark. Love it. Will always stop here for breakfast while in the area.

The young lady at the counter was great - Friendly professional service. We had the fried eggs with the cornbeef hash and it was Great! The coffee was good too. Also, the property is located in a beautiful area where you can eat at the outside tables or eat in your car either way you'll get a great view.

What a fun & tasty little breakfast & lunch place. The owner was very friendly, so it felt like visiting a family member. Staff was very nice! And IF you love corned beef hash, this is your dream place!

Update: a year later and we are back in the area and all the food is just as good as last time! Amazing vegetable omelet and cornbeef hash. Everything tastes homemade and sooo tasty. We were treated to a new round of dad jokes by the wonderful chef here. Coffee is great too. We really wish we lived closer. Long live Chappy's!!

My compliments to the owner, chef, and staff at this gem of a restaurant. If you long for food that tastes like a family member made it just for you, please stop in. We had breakfast on our way out of town. The wait was a bit long, but everything here is made from scratch, and you just can't rush that kind of food. Delicious blueberry silver dollar pancakes and the BEST cornbeef hash I've ever had. My friend's breakfast was equally breathtaking and we were both stunned by how good the country gravy was. Definitely raised the bar. We left feeling fueled up and good, ready for our hike. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town. Thank you 🙏 for the delicious meal we'll never forget!

Honestly beats out any other breakfast spot I’ve been to in the Hamburg/Franklin/Vernon/Warwick area!
The cinnamon raisin bread is heaven!! Corned beef hash best I’ve had. And breakfast potatoes are a win.
Everyone I went with was so impressed. And when the chef comes out to ask how everything was you know he takes pride in the good food he’s putting out.
If you’ve never been to chappys I definitely recommend!

I've been here twice and I must say that this is quite the place. The owner and also the cook seems to be Genuinely concerned about every meal.
He cooks and comes into the dining area to tell a joke or two and has a nice sense of humor.
I requested a special steak omelet and minutes later I was eating the most delicious breakfast ever.
The waitresses overlap eachother nicely and you never need long for a request.
The owners son is developing a solid work ethic as he is setting up the tables for the next patrons. All in all just the kind of place that has a family style, relaxed vibe that will keep you coming back.
I'll be on my way shortly with my son.
He really didn't want to get out of bed but once I mentioned where I'm going, he said, "give me 30 minutes"!
This place is worth the trip.

I had an awesome food experience! Definitely a cozy hidden gem. Delicious food made with Pride , Love and Experience. Very Friendly staff, I even had a chance to speak with Chappy. I strongly advise you stop by Chappy's, also go onto his website because he is always trying new dishes to excite your taste buds.

If you are anywhere near the area run, don't walk, to Chappy's. This restaurant is so awesome! The food is all scratch made and is chef quality. The portions are generous so you will definitely not be hungry. Today we tried the apple pancakes special. First, when they say huge it is no joke. Then the homemade apple compote on top was divine. I said it was basically like a giant apple cake. Simple meals like eggs, home fries and toast are elevated with homemade toast and delicious home fries. Add in super friendly staff, fun conversation with the owner, and very reasonable prices and you can't go wrong. This our new favorite restaurant!

We have been going to Chappys for almost 2 years now. Every time we go there, Chef Mark and his staff makes us feel welcomed and he treats us like family. We mainly go for breakfast, it doesn’t matter if we order off the menu, a day special, or special order the food never disappoints. That is why we asked Chef Mark to cater the food for our sons baptism. Not only did he cook the food, he personally made sure everything was set and ready for us. Our guests kept complimenting us for the food. Therefore, Chef Mark, Thank You for everything. I highly recommend anyone in the area to go to Chappy’s Cafe and or have Chef Mark cater your next event.

A friend and I recently stopped at "Chappy's Cafe" for lunch. We had a wonderful experience! We both chose the feta and spinach omelet. The spinach was fresh and complimented the eggs and feta cheese perfectly. Our server was kind and attentive. She suggested a fresh fruit cup, when I needed an alternative to the home fries. the fruit was excellent! The "homemade cinnamon toast" crowned the plate perfectly, and was very tasty! I highly recommend "Chappy's".
Mark Chapman aka Chappy, told us of his new dinners available on selected weekend nights. They sounded top notch!

Mark, the proprietor goes above and beyond. The food is fresh and flavorful and the portions are generous. Everything is made from scratch. As to prices, there have been times that I negotiated the price up because he didnt charge enough.
This is a small eatery that makes country living enjoyable.

Chappy's is just Fantastic!!!!! The Food is absolutely Delicious!!!! The Service and Atmosphere are Fabulous!!!!! Mark the owner/chef comes out personally and makes sure your happy with everything. You just don't find this type of restaurant that often. My wife and I are so glad we stumbled upon this gem. It's certainly at the top of our go to places for superior culinary delights!!!!!

I have left quite a number of reviews for Chappys on Yelp and forgot about Google reviews. This place is one you wish to visit. A professional chef in a small setting where the food is absolutely phenomenal and anything but ordinary.
For example, tonight I had a Cajun swordfish on lemon saffron rice with shrimp and puréed garlic peas.
The prices are very reasonable and you have a professionally trained chef to provide them. Each week it is something different. It is not just a dinner, but a work of art.
If you haven’t been here you don’t know what you are missing.

Everything is made homemade with love. Southern special in sausage gravy over biscuits with toast and eggs. It's the most delicious breakfast I've ever had and drive and hour to eat there. All made from scratch all made with love. Chrissy is a doll and a wonderful cook, baker,hostess. If you have the pleasure of eating here, enjoy!

After seeing all the advertising in the Herald, we figured we’d give it a try. Nothing but good things to say. From the friendly greeting when we came in, excellent/prompt/ courteous service, and great food. I had the homemade hash, my wife had a wrap. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We come here regularly and always enjoy it! Food is excellent and prices are very reasonable. I recommend the Saturday evening meals for date night way better than any chain restaurant.

Edit: can't believe I forgot the great service! Friendly and welcoming every time we come in.

Service: friendly 5☆ Food: Excellent and the portion served was adequate for a healthy eater such as myself 5☆. Wait time, less than 5 minutes, very important is the wait time 5☆. Cost - Price > very reasonable 5☆.
Atmosphere, casual. Was a nice country setting. I highly recommend this cafe.
