Midas

After checking several tire centers for pricing on checking out/ balancing the front end tires of our very recently purchased vehicle, I found Midas at 1597 State Street Schenectady to be most reasonable. After speaking with Kevin and describing how the car bounces at slow speeds (up to approximately 40 mph), Kevin advised me to bring the vehicle in and he would test drive the vehicle and advise us of his findings. Within moments of arriving, the vehicle was test driven, put up on a lift, front tires removed and placed on a machine where his findings were confirmed. After showing my husband the brand new tires the small dealership we purchased the vehicle from are "out-of-round", Kevin provided my husband with a print out of the problem to bring to the dealership. This is not the first time and I hardly suspect it will be the last that I have been satisfied with the services provided from this Midas location. Thank you again Kevin for your honesty.

Kevin and the crew are awesome at this location. They’ve been amazing with every issue I’ve encountered with my car since moving back up here. They’re extremely professional, courteous and they show the issue to you prior to doing anything which I appreciate that they don’t try to pull the wool over their customers eyes. I will always bring my cars to them and I will send anyone to them who needs work done too. Thank you guys for taking care of my Kona yesterday too. She’s running so amazing!

They got my car in and out in under a hour to change my drivers side mirror. They are quick and get the job done!!! Always come here for my inspections also. Thanks again!

These guys are incredible and reliable. Kevin and crew have always gone the extra mile for me., no pun intended. I stopped there once when they were closed, I was 10 minutes late and didn’t have an appointment, They came out and looked at it for free and saved my life! Had I driven on it the way it was, I would have died on the highway… they fixed the issue the next day!

I was there last Saturday for an inspection. I called in a short notice and they right away scheduled me in for that following Sat per my request. Very pleased with their service and professionalism of the staff.

Very accommodating, called today for inspection and they said bring it right in. From arrival to departure less than an hour. Friendly staff and clean waiting area. Bewitched and I dream of Jeannie on the TV a bonus!

Great team and great service here at Midas! Was told an hour wait for my inspection but they got it in and out within 25 minutes! Also I was expecting to pay $21 but it was only $11! Thank you guys!

Kevin Bheem the manager was very helpful, I needed a set of tires to pass inspection, I was really short on time due to doctor's appointments and he went out.of his way to take care of it right away. I was literally in and out with a fresh inspection and new tires. Thanks Kevin!

I had been out of state when my NY state inspection came up for renewal and was trying to find a shop that would do it ASAP as I needed my car for a work trip that week. I was brushed off by several shops or told that there was a 2 week wait but when I called Midas, they assured me they would be able to help. I asked if they would be able to take me that day, as soon as possible and they were able to fit me in mid- morning. They were so understanding and helped me feel at ease immediately. The staff was very friendly and the process was quick and easy. I plan to do business here from now on.

I have a credit 💳 card for Midas/Mavis that allows me to charge car repairs, out them on a promotion & spread the cost over 5 or 6 months in paying it off. Midas, the State St Schenectady location, is across the street from Mavis. The E. Greenbush Midas store, ask for Dave, he is honest & works with people on the costs. I live in Schenectady , but my auntie lives in Watervliet, so if I need car repairs & I am visiting her there, I use the E. Greenbush location.

When I arrived Jim came outside to greet me and took my car inside. I had a inspection done on my car. It was done right away. Jim proceeded to cash me out in a friendly manner. As always Midas does a great job.

Excellent service was fast and knowledgeable able. They showed me the proablem which I thought itbwas something elese and fixed it all around both sides of the vehicle. My car is a whole diffrent car. The lounge was clean the coffee was good. Not sure what to say but I know Midas on state st,Schenectady NY knocked it out the park for me. My Car runs so much better.

so the first big snowfall of the year I was slippin and a-slidin skiddin and a gliding all over the road it was a really scary time but luckily I pulled smoothly into this nice midas's parking lot, I was immediately greeted with warm smiling faces and they were very attentive and receptive to my needs they had the tires I need immediately in stock so I didn't have to wait around at all after I sat down the immediately drove my car into the bay and put those brand new tires on my vehicle I am really happy and really pleased of how conscientious and courteous the workers were at this location I decided to post a review because they had a big postcard basically encouraging me to leave a good favorable review on Google

A great place to take your car for all your car need I 100 percent recommend it. Great and Genius people working in there. They are very respectful and reasonable price

Everything was perfect! My car was not safe to drive (muffler issue from a hit and run) I had to wait for parts to come in once they were in my car was worked on pretty quickly. Kevin was awesome! Great communication honest and friendly. My car is now safe again to drive thank you so much! I highly recommend these guys!

Mostly go here for inspections, usually in and out. Not long waits like other places.

Great transparency! My drive belt was very worn and they pulled it out and showed it to me. Another local shop passed me for inspection a year ago which means I was duped and driving around dangerously unbeknownst. Also, they have 6 month interest free finance options available for those who don't deal in interest but have an imminent car need. Also recently got well rated all season tires to prep for winter.
