Cousins Construction

Cousins Construction installed a new roof on our house and shed last month. We could not have been happier with the process. Jason's assessment of our home was extremely thorough before he provided a detailed estimate with all of the product spec sheets. We knew exactly what we were getting into, and he was upfront and honest with us about the current state of our roof. The roofing crew was efficient and clean. They had to walk around most of our property to access the house and shed roofs, and I believe they were truly careful with our belongings. Cousins Construction is responsive, professional and fair. It is evident that they care about their reputation and will not leave you in the dark. I would 100% recommend them for your roofing needs.

I had Cousins Construction put on a new roof May 2019. I was recently having some moisture issues in one area and was concerned there was a leak. Jason got back to me on a Sunday and showed up on Monday morning even though he was sick. He and his crew removed a large section of shingles and discovered it was a condensation issue not a leak
and discussed what I could do to eliminate it. I really appreciate the quick response and was told not to hesitate to call again. Excellent service and great guy to work with!

Wow, what a breath of fresh air! We have a home from 1920 with a slate roof. Jason and the crew first, came and did the ridge roll, some soffit pieces, and replaced two dozen slates or so. Later, we maintained the roof and dealt with wind damage. On every occasion making an appointment was easy, and they showed right when they said they would. They where 100% willing to share there experience with you so you'd understand caring for your home and roof. The crews are the friendliest and most respectful people. Personally, I'm not having anyone else maintain my roof. You will be glad you called.

Unreliable and unprofessional

Cousins installed roof just over 2 years ago. Leaking inside house in few areas. 3 roofers said it was improperly installed roof. Cousins came, said roof not leaking!! Even though bathroom ceiling soaked. No offer to fix, no offer to remedy. NOTHING. Will not be referring Cousins Construction to anyone any time soon

We had a new roof put on after a major storm. They found issues and corrected it and then we got a leak. Roofers we had not seen before from cousins construction came to check what was going on. After ripping up the singles they said that whoever did this did it wrong and it was cousins construction who had done it. Still had issues with roof leaking. They came out and said the skylights were an issue so we said that we would pay them to remove them and they said no it just wasn't prepared right. Which again they redid the whole roof originally. Still continued to have leaks they came out again and we said if it's an issue to remove them and we would pay for it. So they did the work and we paid and the roof leaked again. We did some more research about the products used and found that the shingles couldn't be used at a certain pitch. We also contacted the shingles company and found out that they stopped making the type we had because it was flawed and to go through the contractor for the warranty. When we tried to contact cousins construction by phone and email we had no response back, which we should have seen coming because each time we had an issue it was harder and harder to get ahold of them. We offered to pay the added cost of the new design shingles over what was paid for the original one and for new ply wood and such and still no response back. We contacted another roofing company, recommended by a friend, just to come look at it and he basically said all the same things we already knew. That one area of the roof was pitched to much and that the shingles were redesigned because they were flawed. Also said whoever installed it did a poor job. We asked if he was available to do the work and unfortunately he said he was booked but could recommend someone to do it that he always recommends if he's booked. That company happened to be cousins construction and we told him it was the original company that did the install and showed him the email conversation we had. He was shocked and said he would not be recommending them to anyone anymore. Luckily he made was nice and made time for us and redid the roof we have not had a leak since.

My roof was done by Cousins Construction, they have been back a few times for repairs. It is leaking again, and has destroyed some of my sheet rock. I have been trying to reach the owner for 6 weeks, with no response. I left several voice mails, sent text messages, photos, and an email to the company's main email address. No response. The next calls will be to my attorney and the Better Business Bureau.

They are very unreliable I called them to come and look at the slate roofs then they canceled and then someone showed up looked at the roof from the ground it’s two stories and no one ever called me back and it’s been a year I would stay far far away from cousin’s construction and find someone else that is more reliable and I also have to say I’m glad I’m reading these reviews now Obviously very poor construction very poor attitude very poor workmanship I’m so glad they did not call me back
