THANK YOU FNB for the beautiful and accessible access you have made to your bank. Not only for the disabled community, but for all of your customers. I use a wheelchair and for the first time I have been able to access the bank without calling up the back stairs for someone to come and do my transaction for me. (even though they were always willing to help). The ramp and power doors made it so easy to do my own banking. Every where I go, the most important concern to me is Independence. Thank you again.

I have been banking with 1st National Bank Of Scotia on Mohawk Avenue for a decade with several car loans, mortgages, savings, direct deposits and they are the best of the best compared to other horror experiences at other competitor banks. Their friendly, competent customer service is excalibur. When I make a transaction, I immediately get a text informing me. They go over and above and most know me by name. This review is long overdue and I can vouch for the integrity and professionalism of my experience(s) over the years with customer service, tellers, the legal team. No one is perfect and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I moved to Scotia 10 years ago and feel the love, warmth, caring from this hometown banks staff and services and the wonderful Scotia community and all its amenities.

I have banked with this company for over 15 years. Checking, savings, car loans, mortgages, etc. First, their customer service has Always been stellar. When I call, a person answers the phone; no prompts, no run arounds, and they resolve my questions or concerns every time. Second, let's go back to the 2008 housing crisis. This bank didn't have trouble like all the others....why? Because they didn't give out "bad mortgages" like the other big corporate banks. Bottom line: "Sometimes you want to go where everbody knows your name, and they're always glad you came."

I've never had a bad experience with this bank. We've used them for years. No crazy penalty fees and local bank with tellers who recognize and know who you are. Just took out a car loan with them and there is no penalty fee for paying it off early.

Still a good bank, and even better now with the reconstruction, which was done beautifully, like Michelangelo designed the remodeling or something - quite amazing results — it would be a 5 star except, it will never be a 5 star because although I was good enough for an auto loan, I was not good enough for a mortgage loan, somehow or another, which is alright, since FNB Scotia won’t be good enough for my next car loan - things have a way of averaging out sometimes - but at least I’ll enjoy the good customer service and the amazing looking scotia branch for the next couple months

They sell your info. The calls will never end. On top of that they cannot understand a complicated situation. They denied my loan and then I got two more loans easily

Stay away from this bank! Horrible customer service and even worse professionalism. My wife was hung up on or directed to the wrong department over 12 times just trying to get her loan payoff paperwork sent to the dealership. The dealership was also given the run around and hung up on as they also tried to resolve this for us. It is safe to say this bank will never get our business ever again. Glad to be done with the soon!

First their system crashes causing my automatic payments to not go through resulting in late payments now their entire online and mobile banking systems have crashed I have spent 2 days trying to access my account and get somebody on the phone but customer service number keeps hanging up at the automation part this is the worst banking system I have ever seen how can u legally prevent someone from accessing their account for days at a time and how do you not have a 24/7 customer support number? Customer support only being available during business hours is the laziest thing I've ever heard of if you can't afford to run a bank properly go open a pizza shop and leave banking to professionals because there is nothing professional about this I hope you are the next bank to go under because you do not deserve to be in business if you can't even handle a simple mobile app....its like a bunch of 3rd graders running around calling themselves a banking institution except 3rd graders would probably do a better job than u morons

You can call this bank, quite literally, a local institution, but they have just fallen completely behind the times. I encountered management and low level personnel at a few of the branches that were rude, grossly incompetent and completely uninformed. I even received a call from one of them admitting they were unequivocally wrong regarding an incident at the Erie Blvd. branch when they totally obstructed me from making a transaction. I can only believe this idiotic conduct and their archaic technical infrastructure is allowed to exist because of abject failure at the top. I think they rely on long-time customers that innocently don't know any better and are content with doing business like they did in the 40's. Don't get me wrong, there are some people working there that are doing their best within such limiting parameters; they're friendly, outgoing, personable and are willing and able to help. They would get five stars, if I could rate them independently. The President and CEO, and local branch managers receive zero stars because they are ultimately responsible.

Let me just say this RICK who answered the phone in an unpleasant way started off disrespectful telling me how I should manage money!! I wouldn’t have this problem like if he knows what’s going on in my life!! It’s not my problem your bank keeps putting money back all of a sudden when I never had this issue & wait months to let someone know!! Ridiculous you have to pay the bank to pay your bills I hate that i have a car loan through them!!
